Not a good choice and not recommended
I want to be very transparent regarding our stay, position and feedback and want to provide a clear understanding of our experience. This VRBO is receiving a rating of 1-2 out of 10, with 10 being high/desirable. While it was clean there are many significant problems with this rental with three primary issues. Had we known an of these three items we would have not stayed. The three primary are:
1) The stench of the couch is totally unacceptable. It smelled like a load of laundry that was left in the washing machine for way too long. This is also the case to a lesser degree with the bed (a dehumidifier needs to be run 100% of the time when humidity rise above 50%)
2) The inability to flush toilet paper is also not acceptable and was not mentioned at the time of booking nor in any of the posts (this is deception from my perspective)
3) The smell coming out of the bathroom….. I have been dealing with a family rental property business by entire life and suspect the owner is dealing with some significant leaking drainpipe issues and possibly leaking under your foundation.
Additionally, here are other issues identified:
- No mattress pad in the master bedroom
- Black mold in the bathroom
- Broken blinds
- Stains on the walls
- Upstairs leaks form the bathroom upstairs staining above the shower
- Poorly installed shower with excessive use of caulk… I suspect water is not draining out of the shower
- Water damage near trip and missing pieces of trim, specifically around the upper
