Such a great stay!
We had such a great time - the location, cleanliness, and amenities were great. It was nice and secluded, but walking distance to downtown Boothbay Harbor. Our pup loved the yard!

The property was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with multiple coffee choices and any thing you could possibly need for cooking. The location was so nice and quiet and easy access to walk to Boothbay Harbor village. I would definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity to return to this area.
Just as described. The house has everything you need, including fully equipped kitchen, grill, and fire pit. We had a fun and relaxing stay here. Nestled in the trees. Thank you!

From the owner: "I am so glad you enjoyed your stay in Boothbay Harbor. Thank you for your review."
We arrived in the dark w no power in the neighborhood due to a down powerline. Lucky for us the heat was still working & the hosts throught of everything… plenty of lanterns, flashlights, firewood, batteries etc The kitchen is well stocked with spices, coffee, pots, pan, & everything you could need. We enjoyed this rental so much Highly recommend
Great home for 6 adults, two toddlers, and one good dog. Beds are comfortable, nice living spaces to hang out in (living room, dining room/kitchen), plus a back deck and a nice quite back yard with a raised fire pit, well stocked kitchen, clean. Nice quiet neighborhood. Host was responsive and provided complete information as needed. It's very close to Boothbay while also feeling "out of the fray." There is also a nice little private beach within walking distance for residents of the area which kindly included renters - this was a very nice find.
Host was very responsive and left a nice thoughtful binder of recommendations/things to do! Kitchen is stocked with every piece of cooking equipment you could ever need and the house was clean and comfortable. A short drive or long walk to the center of Boothbay.
The listing is very accurate. The cabin is well-stocked and tidy. If you are looking for luxury, this is not your jam. If you are looking for a woodsy, rustic, getaway that is still convenient to town—it’s a great find. We fit comfortably here. Host was very communicative. My only other note for families would be that I think the stairs would’ve been tough if our toddler had been younger as they are open on one side. We had a lovely time!

Thank you for your assessment of property type. I like your description and think that will be useful for others!Thank you for sharing your thoughts about toddler safety on the stairs. I appreciate your concern and although the commercial property inspector says that it is within code, I want to put a barrier of some type on the open side. In the meantime, there is a full railing on the wall side. Thank you again for mentioning this!
Greg was a very responsive host. The property offers a quiet getaway from the bustle in town. Great area to walk.
I enjoyed the deck area and open grass area for my dog.
This cozy cabin was great for exploring the Boothbay Harbor area. It's not winterized but with the fireplace/woodburning stove/heat and space heaters we were never cold and quite warm. We played lots of board games and enjoyed nearby hikes and the Gardens Aglow. Very quiet street in the winter.
This was a great place to stay. Had a secluded locatiin and a rustic type feel with all amenities. The owner had chargers in each room for phones and a portable charger. Even thought of frosted mugs in the freezer. The fire pit was relaxing. Had a washer and dryer so we could even do our laundry.
Maine is just so wonderful along the coast where the house is located. Greg could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The house is well stocked and Greg was very responsive when the dishwasher went out of order....great place for walking, hiking nearby, and lobster everywhere! Will be back for sure
The property was great, very furnished with many things you always would like to have on vacation, but can’t bring along. Kitchen was incredibly stocked with all sort of gadgets and spices. Washer and dryer worked great! It was humid while we stayed at the house, the fans helped, but I missed air conditioning- 100% knew there wasn’t any- so not a negative for the house. Our host was very pleasant and very responsive! All around wonderful house to rent at a great location!!

From the owner: "Thank you for your review! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay. If this global warming continues, I see some Air Conditioner in the future. Although we had a heatwave, it was a full 15 degrees cooler in mid-coast Maine than in Massachusetts. In the meantime, I have put a dehumidifier in the downstairs area, which should make it more comfortable. You are always welcome!"

Not Clean
At first glance the house seemed charming. However, the smell of urine in the bathroom was overwhelming. Also urine smell in first floor bedroom. Twin pull out couch had dirty linens and blanket stuffed under the cushion. Couch had dirt under it (on a vinyl floor). Kitchen sink needed to be scoured. Fireplace had not been cleaned in forever. House was cold with only one gas heater.
It was nice to have a place to gather instead of spending the money for a hotel, but it wasn't as comfortable. I understand that you don't want to ruin furniture when you are renting out to people, because you just never know, but there really wasn't any comfortable seating in the den and everything is so low.
I will say that the beds were the very comfortable, not hard or soft, but just right.
The house was a quiet area with plenty of appliances, but we had issues with the TV and could only get 4 stations. We knew there was a DVD and we brought movies, but we couldn't figure out how to change the TV to watch them, there were plenty of controllers, but none actually worked.
I think the preview you have on-line shows too many pictures as it makes the house bigger than it actually is.
This is a charming, rustic little house in the woods. It’s very well equipped and stocked (which is generally only true if someone has actually lived there), and it was on an appealingly wooded street. There’s no air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
Greg’s cottage has everything one needs to enjoy Boothbay Harbor. He was readily available to help out and I highly recommend this listing. Also, if you like cooking, he has absolutely everything you can think of. The whole place was super organized. And if you have to do laundry, he has everything you need. Boothbay is super nice and the place is walking distance to town and Barrett Park.
We loved our stay here. Two adults sisters and elderly mom had a great time. The space was spotless. I usually expect cabins to be more rustic. Kudos to the cleaning staff. The kitchen has absolutely everything you might need to cook and eat in. It is just a hop skip and a jump to downtown bustling Boothbay. The cabin itself is on a very quiet road which we really enjoyed. We all highly recommend and hope to be back.
Communication was spot on! The owner is very attentive and available. 5 stars all the way!
Greg was a very responsive host and answered all our questions promptly. The house was clean, spacious for 2 adults and a dog and close to all the action happening in Boothbay Harbor. Kitchen is well equipped for lobster dinners and the deck out back is perfect for relaxing with a beverage after a long day sightseeing!
