Great Cabin

Everything was great, and I but this is the first time I used a privately owned vacation rental and I didn't receive my email with information needed to get in. We were able to work it out and enjoyed our stay. Nice cabin in a peaceful place.

Mountain cabin

The cabin was fabulous, at 7300’ it has a great view of Prescott. The area is quiet and there is a disk golf course nearby. The road to the cabin is rough in spots, so a higher clearance vehicle/suv is suggested.

Great secluded cabin!

Loved this property. Amazing view from back porches on both stories. Nearby access to trails. If you truly want to get away, this is a great selection.

Bell Tower exceeded our expectations!

Very quiet and private. Beautiful views. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. The decks are a highlight with plenty of outdoor spaces. Wild turkeys were a treat. Abundant wildlife. Plenty of close hiking. Great ham radio spot just below Spruce Mountain lookout tower.

Good place to unwind but....

House is nice and has everything you need for a relaxing time. Power went out twice and had to help owner in basement to get batteries to charge again. There is a backup generator but if your going to relax the last thing you want to hear is a generator running for hours on end which happened twice. Previous review stated there was a rodent problem 2-3 weeks before our stay. Glue traps were set around the house during our stay and had a mouse caught on one evening. Called owner about mouse in the trap and she said “your a man just grab a trash bag and pick it up”. I didn’t expect Barbara to run up and take care of rodent but her answer wasn’t great. The main problem is she knew about the power issue and rodents but hadn’t really done anything to address it before our stay. Between the power and rodent issue it kind of took away from the weekend. Road up to house is slow but not to bad.

Suggestions for a better experience

There were NO directions for this property in the wilderness. It would have been helpful for TV instructions (the contact person couldn't figure out how to get reception for 3 days and that was listed as the "entertainment") and power information. Our power went off and we had no idea what to do. There was a mouse problem. The contact brought up traps. My husband trapped FIVE mice in 3 days. The bathtub and grill were not clean. Thank goodness we had a comfortable bed and the view and temperature were wonderful.

Awesome views!

Rough ride to get there but worth it! The views are amazing. The cabin was well equipped and very comfortable. Would stay there again.

Excellent view

At top of mountain, and view of Prescott is outstanding. Very clean inside, but outside needs attention. Many spider webs on deck, and property is overgrown with weeds and underbrush. Would rent again.

Retreat from the heat

We had a great time! Very comfortable. Can’t beat the view! Barb was a pleasure to deal with and was very responsive to one minor question we had. Would stay here again!

Great Cabin

This is a great cabin with amazing views. The pictures do not do it justice. The whole property is great as well. Hammock, horseshoes, patio swing are a great addition.

Couples retreat

The space was great for 2 couples. We really enjoyed our time and absolutely loved the view! Barbara was also easy to reach with any questions we had.

Mountain top hideaway

Lovely view of Prescott valley and mountains with plenty of decks and good views inside and out. Beds comfortable and everything in working order. The drive up the mountain was not bad, saw mule deer and turkey. Plan on going back.

Cool spot in the mountains

We had a great time at this cozy cabin in the mountains south of Prescott. Everything was great about the house and the property. Would recommend and would love to stay here again!

Bell Tower

The house was not very clean. Crumbs were on the counter, a lot of dog hair was on the carpet. There was several large cob webs on the patio some of the linen was dingy and just thrown on the shelf. The coffee pot had moldy coffee in the basket. The house had some amazing views and we were very happy with it. They should get new house keepers. Thanks Barbara

Quaint cabin off the grid!

We stayed recently for the Whiskey 50 MTB race. The house was well stocked and comfortable for our small group. The views off the deck are incredible and is a perfect spot to relax and unwind. There are just a few other houses on the top of the mountain so you won't get much interaction with others. The house was a bit more off the grid than we anticipated, so keep in mind if you need to get back and forth from town. There is a 3.5 mile difficult dirt road that almost certainly requires an SUV - it took us about 20 min to get up/down in a large van. We'd stay here again if we were to just stay put and didn't need to travel back and forth on the dirt road!

Quaint cabin for relaxation. Loved the views from the porch. Very peaceful and private. The home was very clean and met our needs. Definitely need 4WD in winter when snow is present.

Cute comfortable house. Awesome views. Long drive up a dirt road, 4 wheel drive necessary. Comfortable couches, squeaky beds. :) Also, no live TV (had Roku), we ended up streaming from our phones to the TV, which worked fine. The internet was strong enough to handle that with minimal buffering.

Nice escape from the hustle and bustle!

We enjoyed our getaway weekend with our family! The cabin was big enough for all 5 of us and the views were amazing. The drive up isn't terrible either - we got to see some deer up and down the trail. Our only issue was that the grill didn't have any propane to grill with. We tried to contact Barbara a few times via the number we were given and we weren't able to reach her. Other than that, it was a great time!

Cabin was great for a family getaway!

Property was very lovely and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway Kitchen was impressively stocked! Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. Of note, we do not have an all wheel drive and had a very hard time getting up to the cabin on the dirt road. Apart from that, it was a gorgeous weekend. Would definitely recommend to friends!

Great location

The cabin is great and a wonderful location to look out over the mountains and to go hiking. The road up is very easy in the summer and had little traffic on it. We had immediate response to concerns or questions. The refrigerator is very small and struggled to keep our perishables cold so we threw most of it out. Best to bring up non perishables or use the food right away. Overall, great location and experience.

Prescott Jewel in the Woods

Top of the mountain views of Prescott & Prescott Valley. Off the grid, charming 2 story, 2 bedroom home, with two decks and a ground level patio. Well equipped kitchen (but no microwave). Nestled in the woods but town is not far. Be prepared for some dirt road driving, switchback curves and a steep incline up to the home.
