Good beach access, comfortable

No real problems, I was happy with the communication. The place was a bit small, but perfectly comfortable for few days. I would have liked better water pressure in the shower and this place should really supply mosquito spray (CVS was out!) because we got seriously attacked by mosquitoes on the short walk to the beach. But I would stay here again.

Short Vacation

Great location. Place was well maintained. Balcony was off limits so that was kind of a downer and limited our quiet time when my 4 year old was napping as well as my father. We were really looking forward to the balcony space. Condo was clean but did find 2 drawers in maim bedroom with boxes of food in them.

I guess it was "ground floor" but there were 18 steps to get to the room.

In addition to that the garbage disposal trunk so bad we had to buy vinegar and pour it down it.

We were needing to escape our hectic schedule in Austin, Sandy Feet condo delivered a restful, and fun weekend. Definitely will rent unit again. Port A Escapes property management, always professional and helpful. I have rented several different properties through them, always professional and helpful. However, ask ahead of time for early checkin, 4pm is standard but would like to get in earlier.

The glass table has been updated to a larger rustic dining table which I appreciated when traveling with kids. The two chairs have been upgraded to add a love seat and one chair which allowed for more seating room for everyone. WI-FI should be added immediately. No WI-FI, no access to use streaming services is a shock in 2024, especially when a 2 yr old cries at every commercial..

Warmest Winter Stay Yet for Winter Texans

Reviewer Comments: SandyFeet is a pleasant and comfirtably furnished condo unit at BeachHead Resort. Both bedrooms have king beds. The dishwasher didn't work, but as soon as management company was called, a new model was promptly delivered. A new set of cooking pans were also delivered for the unit! We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the warm sun and relaxing. We just wish there had been a bit more of the gulf to see, but flocks of marsh birds were fun to watch.

Sandy Feet 501BH provided the perfect escape for us. The property was clean & well maintained, the location in proximity to the ocean is great & has an awesome boardwalk for access and the condo is in one of our favorite communities which is quiet & serene, just how we like it. My favorite things about this condo were the deep & comfortable bathtub in the Master bathroom & the balcony where we sat at night to enjoy the sounds of the ocean!My only suggestion would be that the frying pans need replaced & the noisy bathroom fan could use some maintenance but overall, this property is worth checking out. Be sure to grab some food from Fins Grill & Icehouse while you're there. The food was delicious!

Clean condo inside. The property needs some work.

Had a nice stay. Condo was clean inside. Balcony was closed due to “maintenance”but we didn’t see any maintenance work happening. Internet was horrible…kids iPads wouldn’t work. Property needs work. The parking spots were completely muddy after just one quick rain…they never dried up (we were there 4 days). Had to back out just to load and unload every time we left. The whole property seems to be in a low area, as many of the picnic tables and BBQ grills were in marshy areas full of high grass and standing water. The playground was very run down and not what was pictured (unless there was a 2nd playground that we never saw). Pool area was very nice, as was the game room area.

Disappointed and Misled

I would’ve needed binoculars to see the sliver of ocean. The door leading out to the tiny patio had no handle. I had to pull on the key to open the door and the patio furniture was dirty and a bit ragged. Tons of stairs. The stairs leading up to the pool were steep. I couldn’t take my special needs daughter to the pool. Appliances were outdated. Condo was much smaller than photos presented. Overall disappointing experience for the money.

Long term winter rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This review is for the condo as a long term winter rental. We enjoyed our stay in this unit, but I cannot recommend without caveats. Pros: good location, good price, comfortable heating system, accurate property pictures, a small peek a boo view, nice breeze on the porch, updated kitchen and bath, plenty of linens. Cons: The furniture is tired, uncomfortable and the pots and pans limited and in very poor condition. We were advised the internet is not necessarily reliable and this is correct. There were many days without wifi. After talking to the condo office staff, this appears to involve a set up limitation and is not entirely an island issue as advised. These issues may not affect a short term stay, but are uncomfortable in a longer stay. There is noise from the air conditioner because it is on the back of the bedroom wall.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose this rental based on the various amenities available. One of the most important was Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, we onl had access about 8 hours during the entire visit - 5 days, 4 nights.I contacted management and was told that Wi-Fi was never guaranteed and that is why they posted that on their website. I never saw that and have since looked. They also gave me a story about bad internet on the island. Not true. The problem was that they were running the internet through the office and hoping it reached the outlying areas. It didn't. It wasn't just was nonexistent. I really didn't like the dismissive attitude of the manager, Cindy, either. To be fair, the property itself was completely acceptable, but I want what I was told I could have. I would not stay here again.

Upon arrival, the coffee maker was dirty and counter tops needed to be wiped down. Otherwise, it was great. It would be even better if the beds were updated with new mattresses or had bed toppers. The bathrooms are tiny, but really cute! The pool and Amenity Center is awesome! I definitely recommend checking it out before the last day( our mistake). It was a short walk to the beach, which was our primary focus for this trip. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we plan on returning. Thank you Port A Escapes!
