Family Paradise Lake View Cottage at La Casa Lakeside Cottage Resort

Life is busy and you need some time to revitalize and be with your family. Whether you are wanting peace and quiet with the tranquility coming from gazing over the beautiful Okanagan Lake or you want to energize yourself with sport and adventure our cottage, resort and surrounding area is the perfect place to vacation.

3 Bedrooms + Convertible sofa bed, 2 Fulls Bathrooms, (Sleeps 6 to 8)

If this cottage is not available, we have access to other cottages at La Casa.

The La Casa lakeside cottage resort and surrounding areas offer various activities for the whole family. Everyone can enjoy the refreshing outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and private beach area. For those looking to play we have mini golf, volley ball, tennis courts and a well equipped play ground. Water sports, including jet skiing, water skiing, boating and fishing are all available. More of a land lover, well we are sure you will enjoy horseback riding, golfing, biking, ATV, skiing (during winter) and of course, the fantastic shopping available in Vernon, Kelowna and West Kelowna. There are local events and festivals running from May through to October, not to mention the amazing 14 wineries all within a 1/2 to 1 hours drive from the resort depending on location.

Note: Full use of outdoor central amenities areas are weather dependent and full availability is from sometime in May to October.

In addition, Fintry Provincial Park (located 5 minutes drive north of La Casa) offers further areas to explore (Fintry High Farm, water falls, trails, sandy beaches and a boat launch). There is also several ATV trails throughout the local areas.

Our cottage is strategically located halfway between the beach/lake/marina and the amenities areas (pool, hot-tub, play-ground, tennis,& mini-golf). It is your cottage to enjoy. Take the time, because you and your family deserve it!

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. however the view you see in the photo gallery (which was one of the main reasons we booked this cottage) is not exactly what you will be seeing in reality. The photos in the gallery are cropped. The remaining 70% of the view from the patio are the neighbouring housing in close proximity.

Great relaxing space

It was a lovely unit to stay in, though upon arrival some dishes were dirty which wasn’t so pleasant. It was a longer, quite windy drive to the house than expected. Otherwise it was a great space. Fit 6 adults easily and was perfect for our stay. We had planned to go into town for a meal one night and to go to wineries another day which took some time with the drive. But the days we stayed at the unit were lovely, knowing the area better now we would just plan to stay in more than go into town. We drove down to the lake as the walk up is pretty steep, but if you arrive earlier in the morning getting parking isn’t difficult at all. The pool in middle of the complex was nice but had quite a few children as well as in the two small hot tubs. The mini market is quite impressively stocked for small things you may have forgotten. Overly a nice place to get away, definitely hoping to come back.

Nice cottage. Not totally clean when we arrived. Crumbs on floor and a beer bottle Cap. Patio windows and front door window had hand prints all over. Bathroom sink taps broken and unable to use sink. Lots of amenities shown in pictures are not available after august which is never stated. Cottage was comfortable but not very good lighting very dim. Room for 6 adults and 1 bigger dog👍. Bring your own spices if you plan to cook only salt and pepper in cottage. In september La Casa was pretty quiet😊great for relaxing. Nice deck with table and chairs with bit of view of lake which was pretty! Kelowna and area sooo beautiful!! Have been to Kelowna many many many times. Soo much to see and do! Enjoyed our stay! 😊

First impressions are everything!

Check in was at 4 and we arrived shortly after to pick up the amenity passes at the Strata office. It was closed. A man working at the store next door told us to come back in the morning! The exterior of the property did not disappoint. There was a spacious driveway and the yard at the back was nicely landscaped with a gorgeous view of the lake. The large enclosed deck kept our dogs safe and out of trouble! The interior was clean, and inviting. The kitchen was tidy but was in need of a good deep clean, especially the utensil drawers and the coffee maker. An audit and upgrade of some kitchen appliances would compliment the space! The walk down to the dog beach was a good hike and very scenic. Overall, we enjoyed our time at this property and had a comfortable stay!

Great Cabin, clean welcoming but some surprises

Before you get to this location you should be aware of these things 1) Book a golf cart!!! You cannot walk up to the pools or to the lake without a vehicle 2) Don't be mislead there are no sandy beaches anywhere close 3) Essentials are provided, i.e. toilet paper paper towel cooking utensils 4) the beds, all three are very hard so pack your own pillows if you want a good sleep! 5) There is construction going on so up early with the noise

You are isolated ,the place had kids panties under the bed and Kleenex in the light above the kitchen table,the stove had to fix the elements. I guess I should have researched more. I thought it was lakefront . Not lake view. Didn’t like I had to drive everywhere and to rent a golf cart nobody got back to me . Will I recommend this place no . I know now buyer beware pictures don’t always tell the story.

Dear Shawna & Guests Prices have been the same for about the last 10 years and basic hotel rooms at this time of year are around the same price. With a fully equipped cottage compared to a less equipped and smaller hotel room - this cottage is not over priced. As well, pricing is on par with similar cottages in the area. It is unfortunate that you misunderstood that the cottage was actually lakeview and not lakefront - Note that basic header for advertisement states lakeview and not lakefront. Not sure how you could have missed the clear difference. Full information including civic address was provided in advance for your review. In general - quite petty to complain about finding a child''s article of clothing under a bed and a tissue on a light fixture. Most guests move around the resort by walking or driving their vehicle. Golf cart rentals are an option and not an absolute necessity for most people. Golf cart and watercraft rentals are handled by separate third party companies, not us. It is possible that everything was rented out before you inquired. The majority of owners including ourselves have never owned or used a golf cart at La Casa. The cottage is strategically located within 5 minutes walking distance of the central amenities area. Wishing you safe and fantastic future travels. Robert & Christine Z.

30th anniversary take two

In forty five degree temperatures the air conditioning was very welcome. Nice area did some morning hiking before it got to hot. A little bit of artistic license on the waterfall area the water was nice in the swimming area.

Decent place, not worth the location

The house was nice and the view is great, however we were very disappointed with the unclear communication and inaccurate photos of there being a pool access when there was NO POOLS. if we knew we wouldn’t have stayed at such a far location in the middle of nowhere. Host was responsive and nice so I feel bad leaving a bad review but it really ruined our time there. Even the email sent 24 hours before had confusing phrasing and mixed messages about the pool being open. I’ll also add that a couple pillow sheets, some table cloths, and a few towels smelt like wet dog. Also there was no bar of soap which would have been a nice basic amenity (along with one shampoo atleast).

HI Neda Sorry that the pools and hot tubs were closed - this was communicated to you in advance that they are normally open from May to October; however, due to Covid they were closed until further notice (opened June 19). Other outdoor amenities were available. Not sure about the wet dog odor - no reports form cleaner and other guests. Note that we do not use heavily scented cleaners due to sensitivity for some people. A list of stocked items and items to bring was e-mailed in advance. We have never provided bars of soap due to inherent waste as well as risk of plugging bath tub drains, toilets and sinks. Liquid soap dispensers are provided. Beyond expectation. BLEW US AWAY!

Rented Robert’s home for a little surprise getaway for my mom’s 50th birthday! Due to COVID-19 we couldn’t really throw her a big party. So we had our own little family party/getaway in this cottage. Robert’s home had everything we needed and wanted! It was clean when we arrived and the layout of the home was great! We are a family of 7 and this home was perfect for us. The lovely and spacious deck allowed us to have a nice breakfast outside over looking some beautiful houses and the Okanagan lake! This home is also pet friendly so we were able to bring out fur babies. Over all, a great experience! Kitchen utensils were complete! So we didn’t have to worry about bringing our own stuff which was nice. This resort also has ALOT of amenities to enjoy with the family!

The is no reason for you leave the complex as it has several activities for the whole family it was specially perfect to be secluded away from the crowds due to COVID The one and only thing is would be great if the rental of kayaks and paddle boards would be convenient to deliver at the dock as we don’t have means to travel to and from the rental. If you have the roof rack perfect as the price is cheap per day not per hour. Highly recommended the place.
