Excellent holiday weekend!

We had an awesome stay at Fox Hollow cabin over Fourth of July weekend! We highly recommend this property. Everything about it was easy! Hot tub was amazing! We would definitely stay here again and hope to do so in the near future!! 100% Satisfied!!!

Snow storm, no problem.

Great winter visit. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. Cabin is charming, beds are super comfortable. Not overly luxurious, perfect for a small family gathering, especially for outdoor lovers. Special thanks to property management for warning us about the winter storm and making sure we were prepared for ice and snow. Great stay!

Short Cousins Weekend Getaway

My cousin and I had a great stay in this beautiful and cozy cabin. It is exactly halfway between our 2 homes. The loft bed was so soft and felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I always have a hard time sleeping somewhere new... not here!! This was a great location for us to relax. The fireplace was awesome!! Thanks so much for having us... we hope to visit again!!

Peaceful

The cabin was exactly as described in the listing. We loved the books of restaurants and things to do in the area ( a great extra touch). Enjoyed the hot tub, and watching several different wild life: deer, squirrels and listened to the owl while sitting on the screened in porch). Cabin in the woods w/all the amenities & dog friendly too!

Nicely appointed and cozy "cabin" with ample room. Appreciated the dog friendly policy and the ramp entrance to the porch. We visited in August for a quick weekend get-away that wasn't too far from home in PA. We brought our 10-year dog, and she loved the easy access and environs! Enjoyed the hot tub and porch to watch the wildlife. Perfect balance of feeling "getting away from it all" yet being close to recreation opportunities and Berkeley Springs. Thank you!!

Beautiful backdrop for a great weekend

We rented this property for a girls weekend away. It is decorated perfect! Exactly what I would expect a cabin to look like. From the fox decorations to the fireplace! The first day we went in town and when we got home we parked and started walking away and about 18 deer came running right in front of the cabin and jumped the little stream. It was such a beautiful sight!

Family Christmas trip

The house was small and old, but clean. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was adequate and no problems with the Wifi reception. My only complaints are that the couch needed to be replaced. It was very old, had a big hole in one of the back cushions and was not comfortable. The bathrooms needed some shelving or hooks. Other than that the house would be good. We would definitely stay there again.

Good location, close to amenities

This was a really nice place, but the photos make it look like it’s really secluded. It’s not. It’s actually surrounded by other houses. Maybe that’s not a big deal for some, but we like to be away from other people. Also, it would be less of an issue if there were blinds or curtains on any of the windows. Unfortunately, there aren’t. Even the ones in the loft bedroom don’t offer any privacy. The hot tub isn’t very private either. It should also be noted that the pool and fitness center require passes. It was clean, comfortable, and centrally located to many different attractions, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Ok for a weekend stay. The house has the basic essentials and we enjoyed the big living room window (especially in the fall), fireplace and hot tub. The furniture and appliances are pretty outdated though. None of the bedroom doors lock, and the beds are very soft and wobbly -- they might be original to the house. The kitchen was missing several cookware pieces -- pots without their lids, rice cooker with no pot insert, broken partition in the loft. The closet with the boiler room was full of the owner's items (this is fine -- except for the aerosols which are explosive when heated). Host communication was also not great. I received multiple copy/paste emails with the same instructions 3-4 times/day, and a phone call to confirm the reservation and check-in time. Despite this, the rental wasn't ready when we arrived (after the check-in time). While the cleaner was fine and we adapted, host communication about this issue was quite rude. This was our first time booking a vacation rental through a property management company, and we'll be sticking to individual hosts moving forward.

Great cabin if you want to “Unplug”

Fox Hollow is a great place if you really want to be away from technology. The cell service is poor, the internet and cable do not work. I contacted the property manager multiple times & was told to reset the modem which did not work. They said Comcast acknowledged no connection & remotely corrected the problem, but that was not true. It wouldn’t have mattered to us except we were in town for the National Amateur USA Cycling Competition & needed to check information. Otherwise cabin was clean & comfortable. Kitchen is small with a very small dishwasher. Only one burner of the outdoor gas grill worked. There were not enough extra towels which were needed since towels did not dry while hanging up all day. However the hot tub was very nice and the back porch view off the deck was spectacular. It is a nice cabin for a larger family or group with these comments in mind.

Hello Anne, Thank you for staying with us at Fox Hollow. I am so sorry that the internet and cable were down during your stay. Cell service can be "iffy" depending on what carrier you have. We appreciate your feedback and will look into the towels and grill. If you would of called while you were there, we would of sent someone out to fix the grill and deliver more towels.
