River Mountain Lodge Horseshoe Gulch Condo offers the convenience and comforts of a condominium (with hotel amenities) in the heart of historic downtown Breckenridge. Just ski down, walk across the street and you’re home! One block from Main Street, a short shuttle ride to the gondola or the Peak 9 base. You owe it to yourself (and your group) to book this place!

River Mountain Lodge Horseshoe Gulch Condo is a spacious, two-level deluxe condo with a great view of the slopes from the patio; it’s perfect for small families or groups up to four! There’s a full kitchen with granite counters, two bathrooms, and a large flat-screen TV. The dining table seats four, and there’s room for three at the counter for a quick breakfast or après-ski snack. You’ll also enjoy the in-unit washer/dryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, underground parking (one car) with elevator access, a fitness center, an outdoor heated pool, and hot tubs. Every Summit Mountain Rentals property comes stocked with plenty of linens, towels and hotel-like toiletries, and is professionally cleaned and inspected before each arrival. Our helpful staff is also available 24 hours a day to ensure you have everything you need to make your stay with us an unforgettable experience.

Quick stay in Breck

This place is in an excellent location for staying in Breck. Close to everything. Must like stairs though, small spiral staircase to main bed.

Good location, clean place.

This review is specifically for skiers - it is the info I look for when booking a ski in/ski out resort.This condo is at the bottom of 4 O'clock run - just across the street. The gondola is about 2 blocks away. Very walkable for snowboarders - a bit of a slog for skiers carrying skis and wearing ski boots. As skiers, we took the frequent busses in front of the lodge to either the gondola or Peak 7 or 8.The lodging is not fancy, but is clean and adequate accommodations with easy access to the slopes and the town of Breckenridge. Nice indoor parking.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great and we had covered parking included. However the pictures made it seem like the unit was in better condition than it was. The carpet felt dirty. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and the shower floor was damaged to the point we had to use shower shoes.

Great property

Property was as listed, clean, walking distance to town. Because it was warm we opened the windows. Property faces the major road so it was noisy. Overall a good property.

Keep carbon dioxide alarms maintained

At about 3:30 AM, the carbon monoxide/fire detector was alarming with a loud beep every 30 seconds or so. My two year old granddaughter was woken up and frantic, along with my sister and I. I found a chair to dislodge the detectors trying to shut the sound off before the fire department arrived! Please keep these devices maintained so that the alarms don’t go off in the middle of the night! I was finally able to locate the wall detector that was beeping and unplugged it. Even then, I was kept up wondering if we had a gas leak! Needless to say, my granddaughter was awake the rest of the early morning until we checked out. Our trip was wonderful until that last evening/morning. I feel that because of the negligence of keeping the alarm system maintained, our trip ended on a very low note.

Quick breck trip

Excellent location, plenty of room, close to Main Street. Father and son trip so we don’t need much. However, there was a lot of street noise which made it tough to sleep. It was warm in breck and windows needed to be open with no ac.

Great location

Great place to stay in Breck! Can't beat the location--close to mountains and Main Street. Clean property with everything you need for a getaway. Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great Location

This is a great spot! My wife and our 2 children had a wonderful stay. Pool was clean and warm and the hot tub relaxing. It is literally a 50 yard walk to the main part of town. We'll be back.

Great condo; perfect location!

Perfect location for a couple of small family or a couple of friends to escape to Breck. Great layout and absolutely perfect location for a winter or summer stay. Right off Main St so super convenient access to restaurants, shops, etc. Absolutely perfect for skiing as there is a shuttle stop at the lodge, and 4:00 ends literally across the street. Would definitely stay here again

Cozy, convenient for ski vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were really happy with this rental for a ski vacation. The location is ideal - easy walk to restaurants in the evening, shuttles regularly stop right out front to take us to the gondola, and the 4oclock to town trail ends right across the street, so practically ski-in accommodation. It was nice that once we parked our car in the garage we didn't have to use it again until we left. Key pickup and dropoff was in the rental company's building, but that is located just around the corner. The amenities in the complex were also appreciated. There were three functioning hot tubs (the fourth was snowed in that weekend) - one outside by the pool, one outside connected to the health club and one inside in the health club. This was appreciated when it was especially cold and we wanted to limit walking outside while wet. We managed to find an available hot tub every evening. We also appreciated the restaurant in the basement for our arrival day when we wanted something easy and also for some late night snacks. The front desk also has ski valet to store your skis since they're not allowed in the rooms.Things to note about this unit: Both the murphy bed and the bed in the loft were comfortable for sleeping. Although there were two showers, the hot water was not strong enough for both showers to run at the same time at max heat, so we did have to take turns. Kitchen supplies are only pots/pans/dishes/etc and do not include things like cooking oil, so note that if picking up groceries. The dryer is old/slow, but did eventually dry clothes, just don't expect to it work in <45min. Four towels were available - we used two for showers and two for the hot tub (pool towels are not provided by the hotel for condo guests).

Holiday Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, Summit Rentals did not disappoint, nor did the ski-in location of River Mountain Lodge. The location is fabulous. From the Horseshoe Gulch Condo balcony (311W), you can watch family members ski in from the Four O'Clock Run. In the mornings, when we left to ski, we would pick up our skis from the front desk/concierge and walk outside the doors where we were picked up by a shuttle that would take us to the gondola or to the bottom of Peak 7. When you exit the back doors of River Mountain Lodge, you are steps away from Main Street - an area lit with Christmas lights and teeming with shops and restaurants. The property was clean and well-maintained. There is a master bedroom with its own bathroom in the loft area. The living room area has a sleeper sofa and a Murphy bed. This was really nice since my boys are 16 and 20. River Mountain Lodge does need to upgrade their hot tubs and saunas. Not all were functional, and not all functioned at a level they should. However, the climate control of River Mountain Lodge is good. Our family has stayed here twice in the last three years. We did not experience altitude sickness or headaches at night due to humidity issues. (We have stayed in other places in Breck where we ran multiple humidifiers in every bedroom & struggled to sleep soundly. This has not been necessary at River Mountain Lodge). I hope this information helps you in making a decision for your family.

Great location and space for a family!

We stayed in Breckenridge for a weekend soccer game and this location is unmatched to walk around town! We loved having a big open space with 2 bathrooms for a family of 4. Check in was a breeze and communication was great! We would absolutely stay again!

Horseshoe Gulch Condo 311W

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived the heat in the condo was on, not controlled by the thermostat. We called management, who contacted building maintenance. Tyler shut and bled the valves and corrected the problem in a very professional manner. Ashley, property manager, was very helpful and concerned for our comfort during our stay. Management was great in correcting the problem, but the unit on the west side of the building is on a very noisy, busy street with traffic all times of day and night. It was not enjoyable to spend any time on the patio. I would not recommend rental of this condo, but possibly something on the east side of the building along the river. The unit was very clean, well-maintained, and well stocked. I would rent again through Summit Mountain Rentals because of their responsiveness and professionalism in resolving the problems.

Perfect location

The condo is in a perfect location for shopping, restaurants, and the Gondola. It is nicely equipped. Tastefully decorated. We enjoyed our stay. The only drawback would be the summer months when needing to open windows. The street is very busy and loud 24/7. Also we prefer a contactless check in however the team was very nice and quick. They are attentive to all your needs. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect location!

The location of this building is perfect! You can step out of the building, cross a bridge and be in the middle of downtown. We love being able to walk to restaurants or to get coffee. Very close to the gondola. Close drive to many hikes. This was our second stay in this lodge but a different unit. It is a bit run down (older carpet, showers a bit dingy due to lots of use) but the beds are comfortable and there was everything we needed. I would trade new and shiny for this location any day!
