Maki was so helpful from before we arrived. The apartment was exactly as we expected and met every single need we had. Easy to get around Tokyo with station nearby and great places to eat but also a quiet place to end the day

Maki was always available and answered any and all questions promptly. The location of the apartment was ideal! Close to grocery stores and train station. Loved having the use of a kitchen as well as laundry during our stay.

This was a perfect little place for my daughter and I to stay for a week while we visited Tokyo. We loved how close it was to the train station. We loved how it gave us a little extra space compared to a hotel room. It was perfect for 2 of us. We really hated leaving it when it was time to go.

Amazing property and wonderful location. Maki was amazing and provided excellent documentation to help with navigating to the apartment and getting around Tokyo. I would recommend this location to anyone spending time in Japan

The owner is wonderful with great communication. The place is convenient to transportation, mini-marts, and eateries. It was perfect for us since we did a lot of touring while we were there. Thank you for a lovely time!

We had an enjoyable stay at this property in July, 2025. The apartment has an excellent location just 5 minutes walking distance from the metro station in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and small shops. For a family of 4, this is an excellent alternative to booking two hotel rooms if you require more space (Japanese hotel rooms are tiny by North American standards), need to do laundry, or require a kitchen. Everything in the apartment was functional but some items (e.g. drawers, beds, and A/C) will eventually require maintenance/replacement. The owner was very friendly and responsive, and check-in process was explained very well.

Had a great overall stay at this listing! Was surprised to see how small it was in person, but quickly learned this was typical Japanese style. Overall great space.

Spacious and centrally located.

I took my son on a 9 day trip to Japan as a high school graduation gift. Then in a few months, he will ship out with the Marines. This apartment was perfect for us. Knowing space is a luxury in Japan compared to the USA, we had ample space for luggage and places to put our clothes. The kitchenette was lovely with fridge/freezer, microwave, stove, and toaster oven. My son was delighted when he realized there was a shower/tub combo vs just a tub. So we could choose to soak in the tub or shower next to the tub. This was a great novelty. The location was nice. It was pretty quiet and we always felt safe, even walking at night. There is an elevator that always worked. Also, there is a 7-11 and a Family Mart just a few steps from the apartment. There is a train station around the corner, just a few minutes walk. That train line can get you where you want to go pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. Everywhere else is just one train ride from our local station...Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akihabara, Tokyo, etc. I was really impressed with the train system in Tokyo. The owner Maki was very helpful. She is on WhatsApp and was quick to respond to any questions. She has a binder in the apartment with some great information. And her check-in/out procedure is very easy. The A/C always worked and was nice and cool, which was great since we stayed in June. WIFI always worked too, which helped save our Japan SIM card data for Google maps. If we ever visit Japan again, we would stay here again. Recommended!

Great place to stay for the neighborhood

When we arrived we met the owner and he was really kind. He sat down with us and we got a chance to talk about our trip. Gave great recommendations. As for the stay the guest house is as advertised. It has great amenities and has space up for 4 people. We did get there early but have to mention that you can see the age of the guesthouse. Some improvements can be made here as there was mold in the shower, air vents and A/C units. My wife and I have allergic sensitivities to mold and it started acting up after our first night. My wife wiped the shower down to ensure no mold dripped from the ceiling onto us while showering. I want to reiterate, if we ever come back to this area we will definitely contact the owner as he is very kind and I’m sure he has plenty of properties to keep up with and sure it’s a lot for one person. Just need to update a few things and clean certain spots of mold.

Enjoyed our time in Tokyo

We had a very nice stay in Toshima City. The Komagome train station was in close walking distance from the apartment (on the JR Yamamoto Line) along with plenty of stores and restaurants and peaceful gardens in the vicinity. You’re right in the middle between the Tokyo station going clockwise and the Shibuya station going counterclockwise with wonderful stops in either direction. The stove and the refrigerator worked really well for us. The hot water is slower to arrive than expected but it was still okay. The portable clothes rack in the kitchen was utilized since there is no actual closet space. The entire unit was adequate but it’s a little tired looking compared to most other rentals we have stayed at. The owner was excellent with his communications and very quick to reply to our questions on the first day. Had no reason to contact him after that. It was pretty smooth sailing for the 5 nights we were there. The AC worked great in the bedroom but not in the living room, but that could have been our issue of not using the controls correctly but we were fine without it. Arrival to and departure from the rental was easy and hassle free. WiFi was satisfactory as well. We would recommend this place for the location and peace and quiet that we experienced. The cleaning crew could have done a better job and it could use some overall freshening up to give it more pizazz and energy.

Great location, great little spot

Instructions were clear for check-in and the location was great, a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes' walk from the Yamanote Line (and importantly, a 7-Eleven along the way). Great value for the cherry blossom season!

Maki was lovely

Small by our standards but comfortable. Good location for yamantoe train line. Many facilities in walking distance. Would be nice if the owner could supply small amount of milk and coffee for first night, especially if arriving late so its there for guests in the morning and you dont have to go out to get some ( even if convenience store is close)

Good launchpad for a local feel

Our family of four stayed for four days. The flat was adequately large, but tight by North American standards, which was expected. The host was very accommodating and the check-in communication was very well-articulated.Close proximity to the JR Yamanote line was helpful, and local restaurants and services were a positive surprise. Stay here is you're looking for a local feel vs a flashy Tokyo experience. We definitely appreciated the feel of the modest and authentic neighbourhood, coupled with the very convenient transport links.

Clean, comfortable and close to Yamanote line

Clean apartment that matches the photos. Like everything in Tokyo, it's small, but it's efficient. It's comfortable for two people, but would be very tight for four. The Yamanote subway line is a four minute walk away where you can quickly reach the Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno and Tokyo stations. Self check-in was easy and communication was quick and friendly. The most surpising part was how quiet this apartment is. That's hard to find in Tokyo. Would definitely stay here again.
