I am Aisling ,I am from a long line of artists and I do some sculpture when I have the time. My mother is Irelands most well-known sculptor called Imogen Stuart. I've lived here at Rossnaree for 25 years, I run a festival every year which is called the Muse of Yeats which celebrates the Irish Heroine Maud Gonne who was my great grandmother. The festival is a cultural day with writers, musicians, poets and theatrical performances. My son lives on the estate with his family he is a documentary film maker. My partner is from Brazil and loves to prepare a wonderful BBQ s and the best Caipirinha My daughter is a fashion designer who likes to work with materials sourced from ethical ethnic groups in India and Africa. We have 2 very friendly dogs who love to accompany guests on walks.We have chickens that provide eggs for breakfast and geese, ducks and donkeys roam free.We live in a separate part of the house , I am very happy to meet you and show you around and recommend places to visit .
Why they chose this property
Rossnaree House has been in our family for 4 generations, the place has a long history which goes back to the 5th century. If you are interested in Ancient Ireland the myths and the legends, you have arrived in the place where many of the stories began. Apart from all this Rossnaree is a beautiful country residence tastefully decorated with antique furniture and collections from Aisling's travels in the East and Africa.You will find peace like nowhere else, walks by the river and through the woods. Books to read by the fireside in the elegant drawing room. Or visits to the ancient historical sites beside us. There is also a great pub in the village that has live music nights and 3 great restaurants in the village too. You can take a visit to the newly established Slane Castle Whiskey Distillery.
