Please read through everything before booking. A beautiful refinished hardwood staircase built in 1910 greets you as you enter. This large duplex house has over 2000 sq ft. There are 4 bedrooms with 4 queen beds. Two bathrooms with 2 large showers, soakertub and 2 double bowl vanities. A completely redone 3rd floor for the romantic couple. Large kitchen with granite tops and bar. All new appliances and Dining room with new large table and six chairs. There is a large sliding door in the kitchen as you step outside onto a large deck. Located on the second and third floor of Duplex.

The space

This unique, 115 year old home has lots of character and charm, has been completely renovated. Everything you need is here. Take a walk during the day and enjoy the front porch in the evening with your favorite beverage. Or stay on the deck and enjoy the view of the back yard.

Guest access

You have access to common areas: the 2 Adirondack chairs on the front porch. Please Be aware that the first floor is occupied.

This home is great for large families or several couples traveling together. No deck/porch use after 10:30 pm weekdays or 12pm weekends. This is how we stay good with the neighbors. Absolutely no parties or events. Street Parking only.

House was very clean. Although it is a older home the interior was nice and up to date. Parking was tight as its street parking and road is narrow and we were in bigger trucks, but we had no issues with it.

Thanksgiving family gathering

This location had just what we were looking for. Four bedrooms good kitchen two bathrooms nice location good owner communication. Parking on the street was not a problem. It was cold the week we were there but the house remained very comfortable.

Great House for Family

This property is beautiful. The 3rd floor suite has a wonderful soaking tub in the large bathroom. We had 3 couples and two children stay, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The deck off of the kitchen was a lovely spot for morning coffee.

Get Away Weekend For The Senior Ladies

The property was absolutely amazing! Very warm and inviting. Everything we needed was available to us. The neighborhood was lovely, and we felt safe. The host was always available if we had a question. We will definitely be renting it again if we choose to meet in Louisville next year.

Location was great. Rooms were spacious

We stayed here and enjoyed the house. It was walkable to many bars and restaurants. We have plenty of room to play games in the dining room. The kitchen had everything we needed. Wish there was time to spend on the deck it looks amazing.. we were just out and about too much.

Great place to stay!

We stayed here with friends (total of 7 people) while in town for a livestock show. The house fit us perfectly and we loved our stay. Itā€™s beautiful, and we loved the pretty neighborhood too. The street is narrow and only on-street parking, but we easily found spots for two trucks. Kitchen was well supplied with all we needed to prep meals. Could use a bit more comfy seating for a house that sleeps 8, but it worked fine. Weā€™d love to come back next year for the show.

Great location for your trip

Beautiful house. We came down to do a few distillery tours but also to spend a lot of time board gaming. This was a great location that gave us everything we needed, was walkable to a lot of great food options, and was an easy rideshare to our tour locations. The only real negative was minor, which is that the HVAC is pretty loud if you happen to be staying in the bedroom on the top level.

Super! Everything was just as expected and we expected!

The home is immaculate, convenient to so many amenities, the deck is WONDERFUL and the beds are comfortable. We walked the neighborhood and investigated the shops and restaurants and had an amazing dinner at La Chasse. We will be back!

We checked in as early as possible, to ensure we experienced the property! We were very pleased with the cleanliness, modern amenities, and convenient location to food and activity. Our overnight stay was quiet and comfortable! We really enjoyed the back balcony and observing the squirrels play on the property! We all slept great! The upper level bathroom is a gem! Highly recommend!

Beautiful house in walkable neighborhood near great hangouts

Well equipped and nicely appointed home. Master bath is beautiful and every bed was comfortable. Neighborhood is historic with big, beautiful trees. Bardstown has a nice array of restaurants and bars for those looking for walkable night life. Only thing keeping this from a 5 Star was showers never got hot water, had to work with lukewarm.

Excellent place in a great neighborhood! We brought our team for a trade show at GIE+EXPO.

Surrounded by beautiful giant oak trees and a park at the end of the street. Can walk to the end of the street to Panera Bread and tons of restaurants and stores. Amazing remodel of a historical home with modern appliances and bathrooms. The bedroom upstairs is private and has the master bathroom and a queen bed. The other three bedrooms downstairs all share the same bathroom. Owner lives nearby and was very responsive to any questions or needs.

Great find in a quiet neighborhood

My wife and 4 grown children spent a lovely weekend in this home. The house has a downstairs apartment and we never heard anything from them during our stay (I hope we were not too loud with our laughing and conversations). The home does have stairs to climb so be aware of that as you consider the location. However the home was clean and has some wonderful character which we thoroughly enjoyed. We ate breakfast on the back deck while some of us were still sleeping which was very convenient. Thanks Mark for your hospitality!

I am a retired teacher and retired Air Force Reserve member. I graduated from the University of Louisville in 1985. I have lived here for most of my life and very familiar with the area. I like for guests to enjoy their stay in my wonderful City.

This property has been owned by my family and friends for over 100 years. It has a unique history for being built for a doctor that had to leave the area because a new law was passed in the City that only degreed Doctors could practice medicine. Before that medicine like most professions were past down the generations. It was built with tall ceiling because there was no air conditioning, gas lights and steam heat with 40 radiators. In 2007 I removed the old boiler and radiators and converted to forced air HVAC. I keep some of the original wall paper of 1900s in some closets. Look closely and you will see it.

This house is located just a short walk away from great nightlife, restaurants and unique bars. No driving or parking to deal with. In addition, you can take a tranquil walk to the beautiful Cherokee Park that lies just a short walk. Go out the door and walk right then head straight or walk down the hill and see Daniel Boone statue. I am sure you will agree that once you walk the area you will be glad you stayed here.
