Sometimes places look better in pictures than they do in real life, but not here! This property is gorgeous! The house has all the rustic vibes but with all modern conveniences! It is convenient to the wineries and downtown Dahlonega as well as hiking and other activities. I would absolutely stay here again!

Tim and Leigh were the perfect hosts! Tim greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the property to make sure we got settled in smoothly. Throughout the trip, he and Leigh were checking to make sure that all was ok. Unfortunately, the hurricane dumped a good bit of rain on us while we were there but the lodge was so roomy and comfy that we just enjoyed ourselves by mostly staying in. Although the lodge is very old, it was very clean and well decorated. I highly advise anyone looking for a nice relaxing weekend in Dahlonega to book this lodge!

Tim was an excellent host. Very responsive to text messages and greeted us when we arrived. Everything was wonderful. His wife even made us super delicious homemade pumpkin bread. I would definitely stay again.

This property is absolutely gorgeous and the hosts are so kind! I spent my 30th birthday here with some friends and loved every second. Multiple of my guests asked me to share the listing because they couldn’t wait to come back with their spouses! Can’t wait to visit again soon 3

Everything was exactly as advertised, only better. A one of a kind property, very peaceful and relaxing. Easy to get to everything but secluded enough for quiet reflection. Next time in Dahlonega we will be back.

Our host’s cabin was everything I had hoped for after previous Vrbo booking was canceled on us at the last minute. It sits right on the bend of the Chestatee River and the views were simply gorgeous! They even provided a freshly baked loaf of pumpkin bread to greet us! They allowed me to collect some river rocks for a memorial I’m building and was very pleasant and accommodating. The best part was just the peace and calm of the property and the seclusion made it the perfect getaway.

We love this cabin so much, we didn’t want to leave! The location is amazing, very close to attractions and restaurants, and you can’t beat the stone deck right along the river.The well-stocked game room was a favorite feature. Super cozy and unique.The host is fantastic. Highly recommend. Very quiet. We would definitely come back.

Absolute tranquility. Large beautiful home that sets on a river. Plenty of outdoor space. The homeowner is very accommodating. Just minutes to wineries, downtown and shopping. You will not be disappointed.

The rustic cabin was comfortable, peaceful, and so much fun to stay in. We loved it.

So relaxing!

Wonderful stay in a relaxing atmosphere. Really enjoyed relaxing by the river and being relatively close to hiking the falls and Appalachian trail. Great experience and beautiful property.

A Wonderful Experience

This property is cozy, comfortable, and charming, and was perfect for a family getaway. The cabin provided ideal accommodations for mom & dad, a teenage and early 20s child, and grandma. The hosts are charming and responsive. It was a great place to stay.

We had a great stay at the beautiful Lodge! It was equipped with everything we needed and more!

Once we arrived we were blown away by the setting! The house was super clean and loved the river right outside the front of the house. The owners could not be nicer and were available for any questions we may have had~ Love the history of the property~ Would stay there again!!

Beautiful cabin!

This property is exactly what we were looking for: rustic, homey and beautiful. The surroundings are breathtaking. Cannot wait to return in warmer weather. Tim and Linda were great to work with and made our stay delightful.
