Beautiful Mountain Cabin + Hot Tub

  • 5 of 5

This cabin has an awesome hot tub. If it were nothing more than a hot tub on top of a mountain that alone would be enough reason for you to spend your vacation here. But it is so much more than that. The cabin is super cozy and much of it is handmade. You can see this handiwork in the railings, walls, and other cabin features. It has large windows that let in a lot of natural light and really connect you with the beautiful Nantahala National Forest. It has a loft, beautiful wood flooring, and a porch perfect for immersing yourself in the sounds of remote mountain bliss. The cabin is in a clearing and at night you can sit on the deck, look up at the sky and see millions of stars. It has a fire pit so you can cook food, roast marshmallows, tell stories, and do other fire pit related activities. It is fantastic. In fact, I am kind of wondering why I'm not still there. If it were possible to give this place 10 stars, I would give it 11. I would recommend if to families, couples, singles, platonic friends, professionals, amateurs, and anyone who enjoys all the gorgeous mountain scenery North Carolina has to offer. Also, the owners of this place are some of the most gracious, kind-hearted, welcoming people you will ever meet. You can stop looking your next vacation getaway, you found it.

Weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is lovely, tucked in the mountains near the Nantahala National Forest! We ate breakfast on the porch every morning, enjoying the mountain scenery.

There are plenty of hiking trails nearby, and a creek to dip your toes in. For a little more adventuring we headed over to Helen, GA to go river tubing. The Folk School in Brasstown is another nearby must-see.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin, and hope to visit again! Highly recommended!

Slice of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

More beautiful than photos; real craftsmanship and unique. Secluded but close to hiking trails, waterfalls, historic towns, John C. Campbell Folk School, arts and crafts galleries, antique shops, etc. I especially loved the porch with the swing and big rocking chair. Great place to read with cup of tea. I had most of my meals on the porch. Description of amenities as listed; more than adequate. Cannot say enough about the owners --very welcoming and wanted us to be comfortable and feel at home. We did. Would love to be there during the fall; sure the mountains are beautiful.

Perfect for family with 3yo Toddler

  • 5 of 5

What a magical retreat from the city!! So close to pristine Fire's Creek - clear water, rounded pebbles, flowers blooming, waterfalls. Our toddler enjoyed floating down creek on water tube and hiking the easy, paved trails at the Rec Center. The wifi works great, hot tub is fantastic, and the cabin is a work of art. It was the perfect, relaxing easy trip our family had been wanting. Thank you so much!

A Magical Mountain Oasis

  • 5 of 5

I have been very fortunate in that I have been able to return as a guest at this cabin several times. The cabin is certainly something to behold, a true work of art! The craftsmanship is truly remarkable and the cabin itself has everything you could ask for: games, kitchen supplies, plenty of room for friends, etc. Not to mention, it is the perfect place to relax, get away from the daily rush, and cozy up with a good book. The quiet surrounding nature, the beautiful creek, and all the fun nearby events/activities (hiking, tubing, rafting, festivals, a great folk school, and more) combine to make this spot my FAVORITE mountain retreat locale. I look forward to returning ASAP!

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed the "magic" of our mountains in our cabin at Fires Creek. You are so right about the peace and quiet available at our cabin, and yet there are great opportunities for entertainment and adventure so close. The Folk School offers free concerts and dances, Hayesville free Friday night concerts, GA MTN Fairs and concerts, Folk School Fall festivals, hiking, and white water rafting. Hope you plan to return very soon!

Beautiful Cabin in a beautiful setting!

  • 5 of 5

Had such a great time in this beautifully crafted cabin! Enjoyed the peaceful and quiet setting that is conveniently close to a georgeus national park! You can really see the pride and care that went into designing and building this quirky, cozy cabin! Sleeps a lot of people comfortably as well!

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed our cabin. We truly enjoyed designing our cabin and handcrafting every detail. The use of our native walnut and cherry woods help make the cabin shine! The open spacious floor plan allows for extra bedding on the first floor with an additional double bed, couch pull out and single bed. So many people comment on the comfort! Please return as often as you are able!
