Recently renovated master suite available in an updated mid-century modern home. This is a shared property with the owner on site. Situated in a safe neighborhood roughly thirty minutes north of Carlsbad Caverns National Park, we'd like to welcome you into our home! While we do reside on the property. Guests are welcome to relax in the pool and make use of our outdoor cooler or catch up on missed episodes in the living room. Living and dining areas boast large windows with plenty of natural light, and you might catch a glimpse of the resident turtle begging for bacon. With a king sized bed, private en-suite bathroom with shower, TV, and private pool/patio access, this room is the perfect pace to unwind after a long day of work or exploring the Caverns. Guests will enjoy covered driveway parking. Guests will have full access to all common areas: kitchen/dining area, two living rooms, and private back yard with large patio and pool. I am very excited for to to come enjoy your stay and earning your five star review!

Excellent communication

This is a nice property to stay in Carlsbad to avoid the pricey hotels. The owner left great instructions for entering the property, parking (covered area in driveway), and things to do in the area. As an added bonus, a hot tub was recently installed which we were welcome to use. We were also free to use the laundry and common areas. We rarely saw the owner but when we did he was sincere and helfpful and we would stay again.

Good people sharing their home

Stayed a few nights while I cleared cedars off some family property near by. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and nicely decorated. Private bath but shared cooking facility. Hosts were available but close to invisible unless I reached out to them.

Great location

The room and ensuite were clean and parking in the driveway convenient. The friendly host recommended two restaurants that we tried and were very good.

Nice location

Very clean and nice. Location was great for us. Morning coffee which was important to us was available and easy to get. Will stay again when in that area.

Great little place in Carlsbad

First off...WOW! This was me and my wife's first try at staying in a hosted property. We've rented condos and houses before, but never a "room." We've also never been to this area, and really didn't know what we were getting ourselves into... Thanks for making our first experience WONDERFUL! The room and house were clean, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and well stocked (plus, the shower had AWESOME water pressure), and the hosts though we never saw/met them were super accommodating. Not going to lie, it felt a bit awkward being in someone's "home," but we never felt uneasy or as if we were imposing. The hosts left notes and other little nuances making us feel very welcome. The home is in a quiet neighborhood very close to the heart of downtown, but it feels like you're much farther out. The check-in was seamless and easy, the information binder answered questions we did not know we had, and the recommendations therein were spot-on (Trinity Hotel for dinner our first night AND breakfast our second morning, followed by El Jimador for dinner)! I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting the greater Carlsbad area. Well done Lu and Kerry and thank you BOTH for your service to our Country and to your community!

National park base camp

Nice place for our base camp while visiting the national parks. Really enjoyed our short stay. Nice space with Netflix! Also appreciate being able to use the kitchen. Great commutation before our stay as well as good info on Carlsbad area once we arrived. Comfortable and affordable!

Great place to stay

The property was very cute, clean, and exactly as described! Was especially thankful for all the little thoughtful details they put into the room and guest binder, including restaurant recommendations.

Not what you expect when you get there

The owner of the home seems very nice his girlfriend was very sweet unfortunately the pool was not even Able to swim in very dirty and when you're in a 100ﾟ weather that's not very good thing look nothing like the pictures on the VRBO Website Left day early the house was very warm at night not able to sleep well

Very homely!

We are from Austria and stopped in Carlsbad to visit the caverns. The house of Lucas and Kerry was the perfect base. Our room was very lovingly furnished and tastefully decorated. We had access to the kitchen, the living room, the outdoor area and the pool. We felt like we belonged. Highly recommended! Kerry and Lucas were pleasant hosts. We felt very comfortable with them. Thank you for everything.

Good place to stay

Good place to spend the night while visiting the caverns. We got in late and left early. Didn't see anyone while there. Room was clean and had everything we needed.

Nice and cozy!

I was visiting my husband who is currently doing some training in Artesia and I decided to book this lil spot. Since my husband was tired of chow food, I decided to make him some home cooked meals. Lu and Kerry were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. They were nice enough to let us have full access to their kitchen. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this place! Thanks Lu and Kerry!

We stayed with Lucas and Kerri over the weekend while taking a family vacation to the Carlsbad National Caverns with our 9 month old. Their property was perfect for us. I felt comfortable in their home and had plenty of space for everything we needed. I would stay here again.
