Kitchen was the best equipped of any place any of us has stayed. It was so easy to slip in and have a lovely vacation without worrying about if we had what we needed. Everything was right at our fingertips - kitchen with storage items for leftovers, spices and oils for cooking, plenty of towels, and lots of space for our things. Rooms were clean and comfortable and well-appointed. TVs with clear instructions on use and access to streaming services. Lots of comfy seating for shared time in the main rooms, porch, and fire pit. Host was very helpful checking in and answering a couple questions for us. It's clear the host loves this home as their own and shares it with you.

Fantastic Home in the Hills!

We loved our stay at Mountain Eyes! The house was so well appointed and cozy and had so many little extras that made our vacation carefree. The house was so clean and well cared for. The kitchen was well stocked for staple items and extras of consumables were at the ready to make cooking a breeze! The host communication was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Awesome property!

This is an awesome property with gorgeous views. It is nicely decorated, very clean and well stocked. It had everything we needed and more. We came for a wedding in the area and had all adults. And yes, we did play some skee ball. I enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the wonderful view. Our host was so helpful and made sure we enjoyed our stay. If I’m in the area again, I would love to stay here again.

Mountain Bliss

Our family and another family friends had the most amazing stay here. The owner ensures everything you may need is fully stocked and the house is super clean and comfortable. The views from the large porch are spectacular. The large basement included games and toys for all ages to play. The location is perfect super close to everything we came to do. We can’t wait to come back this summer to explore more.

Great Family Getaway!

We had a fantastic stay; a perfect house for a family getaway! Booking and check-in were a breeze, thanks to an easy process. The owner was excellent to work with, and the house was not only clean but also fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect, just a short drive to the recreation center where our family enjoyed skiing and tubing. Highly recommended!

Special Thanksgiving

This mountain house was perfect for us to spend Thanksgiving week with adult children and grandchildren. There were many games and activities available for the children and the location was in close proximity to many other fun things to do. The house is spacious, clean and well equipped. We all agreed we want to come back and highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a house in this area.

Family Stay at Mountain Eyes

We were very pleased with our stay at Those Mountain Eyes! The home was very clean, beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The welcome note on the table and the placemats and napkins on the dining table set the tone for our stay. The kitchen was well appointed for all our needs. Bearing in mind that we are all seniors, we would suggest that you might consider installing grab bars in the toilet area and an additional one in the showers. Should you ever need to replace the toilets in the future please consider comfort height toilets. We would like to thank Scott for being an excellent host, and helping to make our stay so enjoyable!

Perfect place

Excellent property! Perfect for our family of 7 adults. Plenty of room for everyone. We loved exploring the nearby towns of Cashiers, Highlands and Brevard. Enjoyed seeing a few waterfalls and loved the hike around Fairfield Lake. We will definitely put this property on the list of places to return. Thank you Scott!!

Great for large friends and family gatherings

Excellent house, with plenty of room, a fully stocked kitchen, and beautiful views. We had 8 family members and there was room for us everywhere. We never bumped into each other or had to go in search of seating. We found great hiking nearby and loved going shopping in Highlands. Thanks for such a great property, we will return.

Perfect for our family

The house was just as described and was perfect for our family vacation kids aged from 23 months to 9 years old. Scott was attentive and answered questions quickly. The boys loved the downstairs game room plus it was great for the adults to have our own space. We loved having fires in the evenings, playing board games and had lots of laughs. The house is close to sapphire and cashiers. 20 minute drive to Highlands. Perfect location

Outstanding House

It was perfect for our extended family of 3 adults and 3 teenage boys. The house was very clean and well supplied. The owner was very responsive and his directions plus notes about the house were beyond thorough! We love being in the mountains.

Third Time Still Charming

This house is now our official home away from home for the MLK holiday weekend. Scott, the owner, is kind, generous and easy to communicate with. The house has beautiful views and so many comfort amenities. This is our third year coming with three families (kids from 7-14) and no one is ever bored (kids never want to leave). In addition to snow tubing this year, we took advantage of indoor pool and skiing (great lesson by Zach)! We missed out on fire pit with last year’s snowmageddon, but got plenty of s’mores made this year. It’s simply a perfect home for multi-family reunions and we can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful, Relaxing Stay

The house was so comfortable. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy the view every morning. We saw two deer the last day right behind the house. It is just a peaceful place to be.

Great Place to Stay

Overall a wonderful place to stay. Clean and updated. Very well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Outside fire pit was great on cool evenings. Large TV's in both living areas. Owner was easy to text and quick to respond. Got the amenities card and enjoyed kayaks in the lake and the resort amenities.

A perfect fit!

I rented this property for myself and six long time friends. It was absolutely perfect for our time together. Lots of room, plenty of bathrooms (a necessity with 7 women), and a good location for shopping and dining in Cashiers and Highlands. I’ve never rented a vacation home that was so well supplied. Scott was very flexible with check in and check out times and very responsive when we had a question.about the property or anything in the area. I highly recommend for friends and I’m planning to rent it again for a family get together.

Excellent in every way!

Beautiful views, very clean, thoroughly stocked, and (so very important...) comfy beds! What more do you need?? p.s. The addition of the "bear proof" trash cans was helpful...AND did prove to be bear proof, as we spotted a momma and 3 cubs hoping for a snack.

Ultimate Family Friendly SNOWcation

We can’t say enough how much we love this property and the owners. This is our second year staying for the MLK long weekend. We are 3 families (5-6 adults, 7 kids ranging from 6-14). The basement is a haven for the kids (1 full bedroom and bathroom; private bedroom goes to oldest kids); then it’s giant slumber party with full pullout couch, sectional, and 2 twin beds)! There’s games galore for endless entertainment. The upstairs and loft provide an adult sanctuary. The open kitchen and dining room provide plenty of space for sit down dining or buffet and board games or puzzling. On this particular trip, snowstorm Izzy was approaching. The owner reached out before to make a plan (reschedule or prepare for heavy storm). We opted for adventure and had the best time. We enjoyed tubing at Sapphire Falls (they will give group rate and guarantee time for group of 10+ if you call 72 hours in advance). Then after the big snow, we sledded in the driveway and streets for multiple days! The views of snow covered hills were spectacular. We lost satellite tv but no power or internet lost (so we were able to stream NFL football, movies and work - ugh, without any difficulties). The owner is great about pre-, during and post communication which makes stay so easy. We can’t wait to stay again!

We currently own vacant lots and this house on Gold Creek. Previously have owned a house near Lake Glenville. We have been visiting the Cashiers area for over 20 years.

While there may be some areas that are beautiful as well, most do not have the elevation of Cashiers to have cool summers. We call it free air conditioned air. This house is spacious, has a great view and is close to Sapphire Valley Resort and all the amenities.
