Family Vacation

We just got home today from an amazing vacation to Corolla. Carolina Sunrise was perfect!!!. There were 13 of us and we had plenty of room, more than enough kitchen items-pots, pans, plates etc. Most of the bedrooms had their own bathroom so that was nice for each family to have their own space. The pool was a hit with everyone-adults and kids alike. The kids spent hours in the pool every day. The house and grounds were clean and everything was in perfect working order. Easy check in and check out. If I had one complaint-and it's not really because it was "as advertised" but the beach was a pretty good walk. It was an easy walk with nice boardwalks and quiet streets but took 10mins or so to walk it. Corolla is a great area with lots to do within walking distance or a short drive. Definitely recommend

We had never been to Outer Banks and other than the long drive and having to wait for the text to enter the home it was wonderful. The home worked well for our 3 adult married kids and their children. Bikes, wagons, strollers were all left totally unattended at the beach and nothing was taken or stolen. Amazing! Not crowded on the beach or around the home. We had a great time.

Great Value for a very memorable family stay

Overall the house was a great place for multiple families to stay, providing ample space for everyone including many children. The pool got heavily used, they had lots of toys, sports and beach equipment that we got good use out of. The place could have used a slightly better cleaning (cobwebs and dust) and you really needed to be vigilant about the Air Conditioning otherwise it kept resetting and the house would warm up very quickly, especially the top floor. The location was easy for us to make trips to the supermarket and a few long blocks to the beach wasn't too bad. We rented a golf cart which made everything much easier to cart back and forth but walking it with beach gear might have been rough. Not a detractor (we didn't realize it) but we wished the 4th master had a Queen or King bed instead of 2 twins. The property management company was very nice and responsive to our requests and came to the property to fix minor issues. We would definitely consider staying here next year if we can't find something with a 4th master room with a larger bed.

There were a few issues (hot tub wasn't working and there was a leak in the ceiling in one of the bedrooms) but as soon as we called the rental agency they sent someone out that day to deal with both of those. House is a good size though and has all the amenities you would need (very well stocked kitchen, beach things like chairs and a few toys).

Family Vacation

Place was suited to our needs for traveling with small children. It was very clean when we checked in! Process of checking in and out was nice and simple. Location of the house was quiet and clam but close to activities and stores. Owners were hands on and contacted us personally shortly after we checked in. We highly recommend staying here.

Great location, large house

The house is in a great location with about 10 minutes walking to the beach and easy driving or biking distance to shops and restaurants. The layout of bedrooms and bathrooms is great for sharing between 2 families with almost every bedroom having an en suite bath. The kids loved the pool and hot tub after a day at the beach. One thing that was pretty bothersome is that the kitchen does not have ANY pantry space. There is literally nowhere to put away pantry and grocery items because every single cabinet is full so that was very annoying - it's a lot of food to store on the counters when the house sleeps that many people. Overall, the house was clean although there were drawers missing in the kitchen and bar area, which was very odd, and some of the amenities like the basketball hoop have seen better days. It also was not disclosed until we checked into the house that the house had mice in the past and there were active bait stations set up. We, thankfully, didn't encounter any, but it was unnerving. This was somewhat offset by the owners' thoughtful touch with bagels and cheesecake, which we all loved. Overall, we would be happy to stay here again and love Corolla.

Excellent Location and Clean, Beautiful Home

The home was exactly as shown- beautiful and clean! The location was fantastic- so close to the beach, shopping and activities! We rented bicycles and rode and walked to the food store and activities, as well as food. BEST vacation and vacation home!!!

We loved having a hot tub and a pool right outside our door. The pool is not heated so it took a few days before it was warm enough to swim in. The house is beautiful, clean and had everything we could have needed.

Very clean and well maintained. The owners take great pride in making sure you have the best vacation experience possible. We had a problem with an outside receptacle not working and they had an electrician fix it the very next day. They even had a cheesecake delivered during our stay which was a first and delicious by the way. We will definitely be booking this property next year.

Very clean, well kept, and tidy on all levels with everything functioning as expected. Only minor issues were lack of pantry made kitchen somewhat cluttered and hot tub cover needs to be replaced as parts of tape were constantly melting in water. Otherwise, would definitely stay at this house again.

Nice, well-equipped home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We used the entire house with our 8 adults and 4 small children covering 3 generations. The kitchen has every utensil you can imagine. There was even a Purr water filter in the refrig, which is always welcome with the NC water. The pool was cloudy the first day, and I immediately reported it. A service person was supposed to be contacted. We never saw the person, but the pool cleared by the second day. We have been going to OBX since 1989, always to this area. It is quite different from then, good in some ways but much more crowded.

Thoughtful touches!

Overall very very good-great place to spend the week with your family. Close to the beach, long roads to bike on and all you need for the pool/beach! Plenty of games and movies for Rainey days, too. Special thanks to the owners!
