“Ocean Creek Escape” is a custom-built Charleston-style home with a reverse floor plan offering spectacular panoramic views of the Ocean Creek golf course, lake, and marsh. We encourage you to read the past-guest reviews which reflect that we strive to provide a home -- not just a "rental."

Highlights include:

• Convenient location near the family-oriented Cabana Club pool complex, Activity Center, Wardle’s Landing Pier, and Davis Love III Park (playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts)
• Bright, open living area with custom vaulted wood ceilings and five skylights
• Over 1,000 square feet of covered outdoor space on three porches (one screened)
• Exceptionally well equipped kitchen, extra refrigerator/freezer in garage, Weber propane grill
• Comcast Xfinity high-speed internet, YouTube TV,surround sound system, 4 HDTVs, 75+ DVDs
• Four beach cruiser bikes, beach gear (chairs, cooler, etc.) and indoor/outdoor games
• Pack'n'Play Crib with mattress, highchair, stroller, and baby gate for any little ones

NOTE: A golf cart is NOT PROVIDED with the rental. Pets are NOT allowed.

The home is tastefully furnished and decorated with a "coastal" theme. The sofa and chairs will ensure that you’ll be comfortable as you gaze out the over-sided sliding glass doors or watch a movie on the 6-speaker surround-sound 55” HDTV. The large dining area can accommodate 8 and the kitchen is well stocked with all of the pots, pans, bowls, and appliances you’ll need. Convenient seating at a breakfast bar is available as well for enjoying cereal in the morning or a quick bite at lunch.

There is a King-sized bed in the primary bedroom and two queen-sized bedrooms located on the second floor that are all nicely furnished and have HDTVs. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower/tub combo while the primary bedroom has a private bath with a large custom-tiled shower and two shower heads. The queen-bedded (with twin day bed also) bedroom on the 3rd floor (main living area) has an adjacent, large bathroom with shower conveniently located next to it. The laundry room is equipped with a sink and a large-capacity washer and dryer.

In order to access amenities (pools, golf courses, activities, restaurants, etc.) of the Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort, guests must both purchase Guest Cards ($39-$55/pp) AND pay a resort amenity fee equal to 12.8% of the property's rental cost (excluding housekeeping fees, taxes, etc.). All individuals age 13 and older are required to have a Guest Card to enjoy resort facilities. While not mandatory, the vast majority of our guests do purchase card to enjoy access to everything the resort offers.

Weekly stays (Sat-Sat) are required in the Summer, 4-night minimum stay required all other seasons. Reservations must be confirmed (full payment and signed rental agreement) at least one week prior to arrival date.

Check in time is 4pm. Check out time is 10am.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay! House was just as pictured. A lot of stairs and reverse floor plan, but worth it for the views. Perfect location for July 4th fireworks. Excellent location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It was the perfect size for our group. The home is well equipped with everything you need. I especially loved the screened in porch off of the primary bedroom. It was so nice to sit there and read or have a cup of coffee and not have to worry about the bugs! The view off of both rear decks was lovely! Thank you for offering this home as a vacation spot. We would love to stay again next time we visit Fripp!

This is our 4 th year renting this home. The house has everything we needed. Nice location great view from deck.Have already booked for next year. Home owners are helpful and answer any questions in a timely manner.

We loved our stay on Fripp Island. The house was in a wonderful location- quiet neighborhood and close to a pool and playground. We would recommend renting a golf cart to ride around viewing the abundant wildlife. If you like less crowded beaches, going down to the end of the island was a short golf cart ride and had a great beach at low tide. The owners were very helpful and the communication was excellent. Having a bedroom on the top floor off the kitchen and living area was great for our 87 year old mother. (There were steps to get up to the top floor but they were wide and had good handrails. We would definitely stay here again!

Paradise

This place was fantastic! There was plenty of room for our two families and everything we needed for a family getaway. The screened in porch overlooking the spectacular view of the pond on the golf course made for some great evenings for entertainment and socializing. You really cannot beat this view. The 4 car garage kept our cars out of the sun while also providing enough room for several golf carts as well. The owners have really thought of everything a family would need for a fun week on Fripp!

Highly recommend! The owner was very responsive and made sure every thing during our stay was going well. Perfect house for kids. It has a pack and play (with a good mattress), high chair, stroller, and baby gates. Also you don’t need to bring any beach items because the house is fully stocked. Appreciated the fridge in the garage too for extra storage! You’re walking distance to the cabana pool, which the kids loved. We purchased the resort cards for the week, which I recommend and also rented two golf carts. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and all the spices. Thank you for letting us stay!

Beautiful Home Excellent Location

Great stay at this property. Home was very clean, lots of chairs, a cooler, couple of bikes etc…are provided by the owner. Fridge / Freezer in the garage was convenient. Double car garage that is deep…ample parking for 4 midsize sedans inside. Great location being situated very close to the Activity Center and Cabana Club pool. Golf course and playgrounds are short distance on the same road, and one left turn to head to the marina and restaurant. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great Escape

This property was perfect for our family. 3 generations of island lovers stayed for a week of fun and relaxation. We enjoyed viewing the lovely setting from the living area and all 3 of the spacious porches, while watching birds, deer, and golfers. The Cabana Club pool was right around the corner. It's a fantastic place to view the ocean and inlet. We took our golf cart over to the beach every afternoon for some fun in the waves. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Fripp vacation

We had a great time at Fripp. The house sits on the golf course with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed many evening and mornings watching the birds and the alligator from the second story porch. The close proximity to the cabana club was great for us as we had a toddler and an infant. This was our first time staying at Fripp and we will be back!! Bob was a very responsive and helpful host.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable Fripp vacation during our stay at 168 Ocean Creek. Bob was attentive and responsive during the months and weeks leading up to the rental. Sue the property manager had it ready and clean for us exactly as described. We found it to be a well-stocked, clean, and relaxing property for our family vacation. We will definitely consider for future rentals. Also.......tremendous viewing spot for 4th of July fireworks.

Family Fripp Vacation

The property was perfect for our family of six adults and three children. There was plenty of space with the two porch’s and the spacious open family room kitchen and dining area. The many items for the pool/ beach and outside shower was perfect. Golf was great! What a wonderful week!

We have been staying at Fripp for over 15 years. This house has been the best by far. Communication with Bob was fantastic and he made sure any issue we had was taken care of immediately. Above and beyond anything I have experience. You will need to get a golf cart if you're going to the beach, but the view from the back is gorgeous and the proximity to the pool is wonderful. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful home. Steps were a problem which I had not considered. I was battling knee problems and sciatica so ended up not being able to join my siblings in activities as I'd planned but they enjoyed every bit of the island and that made everything good for me.

Fripp 2024

We enjoyed our stay however the floors were filthy, inside and out. We couldn’t enjoy the screened in porch because the furniture cushions were so dirty. Only 2 wash clothes per bathroom meant we had to do laundry everyday 😢. By the way, there is a snake in the garage! Front bedroom was extremely warm.

We live in the Atlanta area and scouted a number of beach communities (Sea Pines, Kiawah Island, Edisto, Tybee Island, etc.) before we found exactly what we were looking for on Fripp Island. We vacationed with three kids (now grown) and have equipped the home with everything that we would have wanted in a rental property.

Why they chose this property

Fripp Island is a nature lover's paradise with wildlife and lush vegetation everywhere. There are countless outdoor activities (golf, tennis, kayaking, biking, etc.) with the beach just a short golf cart ride away. We love the Charleston style design of the home and having over 1,000 square feet of covered porches (one screened) makes it truly unique. The panoramic golf/lagoon view from the top floor porch is considered to be one of the best on the island. And the location is fantastic -- just a few minutes walk from the Cabana Club Pool Complex, Wardle's Landing, and the Davis Love III Park.

What makes this property unique

Local property manager 24/7 support, lots of entertainment options (DVD library, paperback book library, board games, ladder golf and corn hole games, etc.), and Child-friendly (high chair, stroller, Pack 'n Play with mattress, baby gate). We provide lots of beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, coolers, toys) to minimize what you need to bring.
