About Jackie and George Wheelwright
My husband George and I (Jackie) are both realtors for Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty. We have sold real estate in the midcoast area for a total of over 40 years. We have 5 grown children and two grandchildren, several who have chosen to remain in the midcoast. We love to cook, garden and raise our small flock of chickens.
Jackie and George Wheelwright purchased this Apartment in 2003
Why Jackie and George Wheelwright chose Camden

This little pink house has everything you might need or want in a clean and compact space. I loved the sunny breezy rooms. Near enough to walk to Camden or Rockport. The fresh chicken eggs were delicious!
Charming, comfortable, quiet escape cottage within walking distance to downtown Rockport.
We were delighted with the cozy little apartment and were rather surprised with the fruit laden peach tree right outside our kitchen window. There were eggs from chickens in the garden, butter, juice ready in the refrigerator upon our arrival. There is a lovely garden next to the parking area but we did not get into it running around as we did.
The kitchen is well stocked with good equipment and even lobster pots but that was more than we wanted to handle. The bed was comfortable and the extra twin in the living area was useful. The dining area in the kitchen is a bit tight but workable.
We lucked out with the weather at low 70's and sunny so we did not need to run the dehumidifier after the second night. It does fill up overnight and cycles on and off so if you are a light sleeper, may be a bother. We just opened the windows and it was delightful.
It was a most pleasant experience and Jackie was always available as we called a couple times with questions. Met George only once since he has a day job. We highly recommend it for a couple wanting peace and quiet.
Sweet and relaxing
This little house was just what we needed. We were in Maine visiting colleges with my older daughter, and we were able to reconnect with my college roommate. We enjoyed beach combing in Camden and day trips to Acadia Park. It was just right for the 4 of us. We wree able to make our own breakfast and dinners so it made the meal time more relaxing. No TV which worked for us. The apartment was clean and well stocked. The owners were helpful.
Beautiful and comfortable
I enjoyed my stay. Very clean and comfortable....perfect!
A bit dated
The Pink House had everything we needed for our two-night stay and was well situated for our Camden/Rockport visit. The owners were communicative and friendly. That said, the unit feels a bit dated in style (fluorescent lights) and needs some paint touch up. It sits on a gravel driveway alongside a fairly busy road so no real outside space. Overall it was fine, but not our favorite.
Cozy house with all you need
It’s a small house but we knew that. There is a large spacious closet. The kitchen is well stocked. Everything was close and easy. Owners responded immediately to questions.
We are located just a block from The Photographic Workshop College as well as nearby to The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship School. Convenient to the center of Rockport and Camden, Snowbowl for the Toboggan Races and of course the beaches and water nearby. This apartment is year round, heated and AC. Film festival, PopTech, Camden Conference, Christmas By The Sea, to name a few of the fun features in the area.
