Beautiful View

Overall, the place was very good. The view is amazing, and everything was functional. Great communication from the property management team. The location is good, and the on-site restaurant was convenient. Price was reasonable. The only negatives are that the property is a bit dated and has a few minor deferred maintenance issues that were fairly easy to ignore. I'll probably try to stay somewhere newer / more luxurious next time.

Beautiful condo with amazing view

I highly recommend this condo for your stay in Maui. Very spacious condo, perfect for my family of 5. Very clean, the hosts were very responsive! We loved hearing the ocean at night and in the morning seeing the whale spouts right off the lanai, and perfect for viewing the sunset. The amenities were so nice, we made use of the pool, the beach and the pickle ball courts. Can't wait to go back to Maui and stay in this condo again.

Paradise

We have been to Sands of Kahana twice now and the entire property is beautiful! We were here for 6 days during the rebuilding of the restaurant but they tried very hard to keep all other amenities free and clear. The condo itself was just perfect! We kept things clean, took out the trash regularly and saw no little critters! Great weather, beautiful night skies and perfect location. Thank you for being so seamless to work with-we absolutely loved our stay!♥️♥️

Fabulous family vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the condo and property. The condo was clean and had everything necessary to make our vacation perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, and the kids enjoyed the boogie boards and mask. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect location

The apartment is very spacious, great ocean view, well equipped in the kitchen, plenty of towels and sports equipment as well. We had a great time! Very clean, attentive property personnel. Perfect size pool and the beach was perfect. Definitely recommend it.

Sands of Kahana Stay

Very well kept property. It was exactly as described. Communication was excellent. We had a problem with the A/C the first day we were there but after we called it in, they went in a fixed it and it worked great when we got back later in the afternoon.

Beautiful property and very relaxing

I brought the kids up for a family ski weekend, and we really enjoyed our stay. The property is on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. Small pond, stream running thru, multiple firepits, and walking trail. The house is pretty basic, but lots of room. The pictures and description were accurate. Our host bent over backward for us when we forgot some things and was able to help out.

Maui review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property at Sands of Kahana is the worst of several I have stayed in - many cockroaches, no remote for control of fan/overhead light in the master bedroom, linens were very old and shabby, big smudges on living room window, bathroom door off track,etc. Did anyone ever inspect this proprty?

Great place

This place was great. It had beautiful views, was very clean, and in a great location. The price was much better the big name resorts. The rooms were very spacious . I was happily surprised to find a pack n play in one of the closets as I was planning to rent a crib which was over $100 for the week. My only complaints would be that the building and bathrooms were a little dated and there was not much shade outside . People were sitting shoulder to shoulder in lounge chairs under the tree by the beach area. Overall, I would definitely book again. We really enjoyed watching turtles and windsurfers from the balcony.

Sands of Kahana

Building is a little over 40 years old. Our unit had a lot of new renovations. Kitchen primarily. Ocean front. Great views. Saw whales, turtles and marvelous sunsets from lanai. Stayed a month and adult children and spouses joined for various amounts of time. Did not have a car whole time but bus was convenient to use. Everyone was happy with the condo. Lucked out. Had maybe 5 minutes of rain the whole month.

Killer views...but dated condo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in was effortless, no issues. Condo is very dated and could use some newer furnishings and touch ups. Drywall patches were done here and there but never finished. The sliding doors don't latch - at all- and gaps between the jamb and door to the point you can see into the master shower/toilet area when the door is fully closed. It's like someone scabbed on the sliding doors after the fact but they don't fit well at all and again, don't latch. Bedding is older style and the 2 beds in the guest bedroom looked even narrower than standard single beds...tiny. Had one incident with neighbors directly above jamming on tunes to a crazy volume and we had to call security. 45 minutes later the music was still blaring so we called front desk again and asked and were told security went up and knocked on the door but no one answered so they left...duh! Ya supposed they didn't answer 'cuz the music was TOO F'ing loud? But the grounds are well kept and bbq grills were spotless each morning and we saw security guys walking around each evening and felt safe which was a big plus. We'd stay at this complex again but probably not this unit.

Clean with incredible view!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The photos don't do it justice; the views of the ocean and sunsets were just incredible! We (4 adults and 2 seniors) had a terrific stay at Sands of Kahana 366. The kitchen was huge and well-stocked with pans, kettle, drip coffee machine, toaster, toaster oven, dishwasher, plates, cutlery, the pantry even had a few spices. The washer/dryer was a life saver, very convenient. Being on the 6th floor meant we could take the stairs too if the elevator took some time (in the mornings, the cleaning staff use the same elevator). If you've booked a longer (7 night stay) there is no cleaning service however, they provided a lot of of bath, hand and face towels as well as beach towels (perhaps could use more kitchen towels) The AC didn't work very well for us, but we managed with the fans and breeze. We were worried when we read in the house manual that there may be bugs/cockroaches, but we didn't see any in the unit itself, just one in the elevator. The pool, the beach, the BBQ's were all great! We saw a nesting turtle on the beach as well as turtles in the water close to shore. Parking wasn't a problem, and the location was convenient to gas stations and the highway. Shower/water pressure was very good. There were nice views from every room and the condo had a lovely layout which felt private enough for everyone. Overall a very comfortable stay; would highly recommend it!

This property was beautiful and well kept. Exactly like the pictures, but better. There was beach access just past the pool and if you took a short walk down the way there was great snorkeling. Perfect place and perfect views of the Maui sunset!

Our family of 6 stayed here and we loved every minute. The place is really roomy and provides a fantastic floor plan for larger groups. The view from the balcony can’t be beat to view the sunsets. Parking is plentiful and the property is well maintained. This unit is on the 6th floor and has 2 sets of sliding doors that can be opened for a very open feel with great ocean breezes! We were worried about privacy for the master bedroom because the photos did not show the fold out doors that provide complete privacy. Turns out- they are easy to pull out and gave us a very private suite. The beds and furniture were all nice and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and cooking supplies to make it easy on you to prepare meals. The property manager checked with us several times to ensure we knew where to go for check in. Book this place- you’ll be glad you did!!
