Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay (my family from Denver and me from San Diego). I have a timeshare at Sands of Kahana and was there two weeks prior to moving to the three bedroom. I was only disappointed about the fact that there was not much notice (the day before I moved in) that you didn’t supply salt and pepper, coffee filters, laundry detergent, washing machine detergent, trash bags of paper products. I was told “we’re not a timeshare”. It was difficult to find two weeks’ worth of detergent; I could have brought things from home if I had notice. Salt , pepper, detergent and coffee filters are basic items in any rental unit. Luckily some items were left behind by previous tenants. Otherwise we loved it and are coming back the same time next year!

The property was great. Very spacious and clean. Loved having beach access right there and a restaurant. The views from the balcony was spectacular! Check in and out was a breeze and took less than 10 minutes for each! I will say that the washer and dryer didn't work well. Washer didn't clean all that well and the dryer took a very long time and multiple cycles to get the towels dry. We would stay here again, in a heartbeat!

Relaxing getaway

I loved waking up to the beautiful blue-green ocean, the sound of the waves, and the cute bird visitors on the lanai. Prior to our arrival we stocked up on food from Costco which gave us the flexibility of enjoining our own home-cooked meals. We made our own smoothies, had breakfast as we wanted. Plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils. One morning we did have breakfast at Captain Jacks which is located near the pool. The food was great!The one issue was tripping on the track of the partition wall. We had to put the throw rug over the track to keep reminding us it was there. Overall, plenty of room to spread out and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would do it again in a heartbeat. Loved it!!Thank you for your hospitality and letting us stay at your place to enjoy the amazing beauty of Maui.

Great View

If you are looking for an ocean view this is the place to stay. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant too. The property was close to snorkeling and other attractions.

The property is not as described. The elevator did not work the first or last day of our stay. Not pleasant taking luggage and groceries for a five day stay up six flights of stairs on the first day. Grandpa could not join us on some of our experiences because he could not manage the stairs while the elevator was out. He was stuck in the apartment when the AC did not work the first day and a half. AC is needed in spite of of management’s claims. Supplies were very sparse. We had to restock toilet paper on day three. To the next person that stays at the unit you’re welcome. There wasn’t even leftover paper goods from prior guess. The can opener was so chintzy we were sure it was gonna break while being used. The management is so cheap that they did not replace baseboards when putting in new tile floor.On a positive note, the view is exceptional and the unit is very spacious. We had a group of six consisting of three generations. Oh and you can see turtles when snorkeling in front of the building.

Beautiful View

Overall, the place was very good. The view is amazing, and everything was functional. Great communication from the property management team. The location is good, and the on-site restaurant was convenient. Price was reasonable. The only negatives are that the property is a bit dated and has a few minor deferred maintenance issues that were fairly easy to ignore. I'll probably try to stay somewhere newer / more luxurious next time.

Beautiful condo with amazing view

I highly recommend this condo for your stay in Maui. Very spacious condo, perfect for my family of 5. Very clean, the hosts were very responsive! We loved hearing the ocean at night and in the morning seeing the whale spouts right off the lanai, and perfect for viewing the sunset. The amenities were so nice, we made use of the pool, the beach and the pickle ball courts. Can't wait to go back to Maui and stay in this condo again.

Paradise

We have been to Sands of Kahana twice now and the entire property is beautiful! We were here for 6 days during the rebuilding of the restaurant but they tried very hard to keep all other amenities free and clear. The condo itself was just perfect! We kept things clean, took out the trash regularly and saw no little critters! Great weather, beautiful night skies and perfect location. Thank you for being so seamless to work with-we absolutely loved our stay!♥️♥️

Reviewer Comments: This property at Sands of Kahana is the worst of several I have stayed in - many cockroaches, no remote for control of fan/overhead light in the master bedroom, linens were very old and shabby, big smudges on living room window, bathroom door off track,etc. Did anyone ever inspect this proprty?

Fabulous family vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the condo and property. The condo was clean and had everything necessary to make our vacation perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, and the kids enjoyed the boogie boards and mask. Thanks for sharing.

Very well kept property. It was exactly as described. Communication was excellent. We had a problem with the A/C the first day we were there but after we called it in, they went in a fixed it and it worked great when we got back later in the afternoon.

We (4 adults and 2 seniors) had a terrific stay at Sands of Kahana 366. The kitchen was huge and well-stocked with pans, kettle, drip coffee machine, toaster, toaster oven, dishwasher, plates, cutlery, the pantry even had a few spices. The washer/dryer was a life saver, very convenient. Being on the 6th floor meant we could take the stairs too if the elevator took some time (in the mornings, the cleaning staff use the same elevator). If you've booked a longer (7 night stay) there is no cleaning service however, they provided a lot of of bath, hand and face towels as well as beach towels (perhaps could use more kitchen towels) The AC didn't work very well for us, but we managed with the fans and breeze. We were worried when we read in the house manual that there may be bugs/cockroaches, but we didn't see any in the unit itself, just one in the elevator. The pool, the beach, the BBQ's were all great! We saw a nesting turtle on the beach as well as turtles in the water close to shore. Parking wasn't a problem, and the location was convenient to gas stations and the highway. Shower/water pressure was very good. There were nice views from every room and the condo had a lovely layout which felt private enough for everyone. Overall a very comfortable stay; would highly recommend it!

Sands of Kahana

Building is a little over 40 years old. Our unit had a lot of new renovations. Kitchen primarily. Ocean front. Great views. Saw whales, turtles and marvelous sunsets from lanai. Stayed a month and adult children and spouses joined for various amounts of time. Did not have a car whole time but bus was convenient to use. Everyone was happy with the condo. Lucked out. Had maybe 5 minutes of rain the whole month.

Perfect location

The apartment is very spacious, great ocean view, well equipped in the kitchen, plenty of towels and sports equipment as well. We had a great time! Very clean, attentive property personnel. Perfect size pool and the beach was perfect. Definitely recommend it.

Beautiful property and very relaxing

I brought the kids up for a family ski weekend, and we really enjoyed our stay. The property is on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. Small pond, stream running thru, multiple firepits, and walking trail. The house is pretty basic, but lots of room. The pictures and description were accurate. Our host bent over backward for us when we forgot some things and was able to help out.
