About Sharon Duke
After totally remodeling this home for our son's wedding we decided to rent it for short periods rather than have a full time tenant. It was a labor of love and we hope you will enjoy the beauty and quietude of this special cottage.

A peaceful place in the country
Looks like an older house that has received extensive interior renovation and modernization. On a quiet country road in a very pretty countryside on a big piece of land. Total peace and quiet, all during our stay. Beds and full baths upstairs and downstairs and two sitting rooms on the main floor, so two couples could share this place and have a bit of privacy. Beds are comfortable and baths and kitchen are well equipped and fully modern; tastefully furnished and decorated. It's a bit of a drive to get to shopping (or anything else), but that's an aspect of the peaceful seclusion. Note there is no TV, but we didn't miss it one bit. There is a radio/CD player, but the radio couldn't pull in much; I suspect it needs an antenna. The owner promptly replied to the few questions we had. If you want a quiet, pretty place for getting away from hustle and bustle, this is ideal. On a clear night, you can see the stars through the skylight in the upstairs bedroom!
Dear Tony. Thank you for taking care of and appreciating our little gem. We hope you will return and bring another couple!
We had an amazing visit to VA. and
We had an amazing visit in Virginia and this lovely Wine Country Cottage was a big part of why I used the word amazing. This property was beautifully furnished, decorated, full of natural lighting and stocked with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and like home. The grounds were stunning and we could not wait to take a walk around the pond that sits behind this charming cottage.
If you are looking for a place to stay during your visit to the vineyards, Walton's Mountain and or all of the history Virginia has to offer, this Cottage is where you want to call home during your stay. We definitely will be back. The Gilarnos
Thank you for the glowing review! We a so glad you enjoyed the surroundings as well as the hose. You were a pleasure to host!
We loved staying here for a weekend away from DC metro area. Really charming place with an amazing host!
Thank you. Please come again when it isn't so wet!
Spacious, clean, and peaceful.
This place is a real gem. Plenty of space and very clean. A little difficult to navigate the roads at first. When you enter the address into Google Maps it takes you elsewhere about five minutes away. For visitors, travel there in the daylight. For the host, our only recommendation is to add WiFi.
Very Nice and Clean
Love the house but a little to far away. Also was surprised no TV or Internet. Quite cozy.
Everything we imagined it would be and more
We had the most wonderful time at this amazing cottage! From the welcome to all the amenities....it was perfect from start to finish. The porch, of course, was amazing. Lovely evenings playing cards and relaxing mornings with fresh coffee. We had a great dinner in Louisa (Obrigado). The second floor bedroom was a treat. Listening to the rain on the roof put us to sleep and the sun shining in the windows was a delight to wake up to. And the shower......love it! We took our 93 year old mother to Monticello and she had a fine time getting around the house. Many thanks for a wonderful visit!
Historic Green Springs is a protected farm area. There are many wineries with in a short drive.
