Welcome to The Heritage Suite at Second Street Cottages!
(Permit#:06-01959)
The Heritage Suite is located just two blocks from the center of Ashland, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival theaters, delightful shops, and unique restaurants.

It is one of two separate suites at Second Street Cottages: a turn-of-the-century home now completely renovated as a travelers' accommodation. It is located on a lovely, quiet residential street in the historic Railroad District. We welcome guests to spacious, fresh rooms and wonderful outdoor spaces.

The Heritage Suite:
- 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms (sleeps up to 8 people)
Consisting of:
* Two bedrooms with private baths and queen beds, and
* Two bedrooms with twin beds and a shared bath
- Living room, dining area
- Large, fully-equipped kitchen
- Oversized front porch and patio

The Heritage Suite has all the amenities: spacious rooms, hardwood floors, finely-appointed furnishings, TV/DVD player, free WiFi, and central air/heat.

The Heritage Suite has its own private entrance, an oversized front porch with table and chairs (seats 6) for outdoor dining – as well as casual sitting area for enjoying coffee, drinks, or just relaxing.

Please note there are security cameras on the exterior of the property.

Life is uncertain - we strongly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance for your trip. In the event of a last minute emergency or need to cancel, travel insurance offers peace of mind for all. Please consider this as we cannot offer refunds outside of our stated policies.

Second Street Cottages also has a charming 2 bedroom/2 full bathroom unit: The Garden Suite. It can be seen at VRBO listing # 737950. Although the two suites are independent units, they can be rented together at the same time (depending upon availability). Please call for availability of a one night reservation. We are happy to accommodate if possible.

Nothing better in Ashland

This small cozy house was perfect for our group over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Great kitchen with every item we needed. Cannot beat the location. We will be back.

The perfect place for two families to stay!

The property could not have been more perfect for our group of eight (three moms, five kids aged 6-10). We appreciated the big front yard and huge covered porch, where the kids could run around, play board games, and get the wiggles out, the proximity to everything (we never drove anywhere, just walked), and how clean and inviting everything was. The beds were COMFORTABLE. Three bathrooms! All with showers! We are already planning our next visit. We had one minor challenge with check-in (not getting the door code in advance) but Sugar was so responsive and friendly and continued to check in with us during our stay.

Adorable Cottage, Great location

Adorable cottage in an adorable town. Cottage had all we (4 adults) needed and was within a half mile of theaters and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the front porch in the quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was very well equipped - thanks for the snacks and candy! I highly recommend this property and we hope to return soon.

Love the porch

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here for our family reunion in Ashland. It is a very comfortable home. The dining space is a little small for 7 but the front porch is so comfortable we used it often.

Wonderful location

We came to Ashland to attend a family wedding. We especially appreciated the location of the cottage as it’s very walkable to shopping and restaurants. Lovely.

Our new favorite place to stay in Ashland.

We spent 5 nights here with friends and family. Everything was as advertised and we even lucked out with the weather. We saw five plays and they were all fantastic. Incredible production value and top notch talent. Everyone should come back to Ashland!

We keep coming back...

Apex rental option. We've rented this house twice in the past 2 years and will do it again when we return to Ashland. Sugar is a most gracious, responsive host. The house is well stocked, nicely furnished, clean and so convenient to the theaters, restaurants, the great Ashland Co-op and the galleries. We didn't use our car the whole time (4 nights) we were there! Love the front porch any time of the day and the ease of parking.

Great rental house for going to OSF

Very clean home located close to co-op and the OSF theaters. Living room is a great area for guests to sit and share experiences.

A Family Tradition

This was our 30th annual trip to Ashland (starting in 1994 and skipping one year due to Covid). We have been staying at this house for about 7-8 years. It is the best. Sugar was very communicative, responding quickly to a question we had and checking in to make sure everything was in working order. It was. We have already made our reservation for next year.

Absolutely charming

Such a charming cottage! Well maintained and stocked. Very clean and comfortable. The location is superb, just a short walk to downtown. The host was easy to communicate with. Our stay was wonderful and we would definitely stay again.

Incredible location!

Sugar made sure there was everything we might need and checked to make sure our stay was perfect. Our friend owns the house across the street, so the location was great for visiting with her. We ate in some wonderful restaurants and saw lots of art and Lithuania Park in full fall colors.

Very nice home in a great location!

The house is in a great location with everything needed for our weekend away. Neighborhood is quiet and only a few blocks from downtown. Very clean and well kept inside and out. Would definitely recommend this home, great for couples, families or friends.

We have stayed at this property many times and it only gets better. Very nice, well equipped house in a great location. The front porch is an added bonus. The house is very well maintained and Sugar is a wonderful host. Highly recommended
