About Sugar Mejia
I look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Rogue Valley and especially to Ashland. I have lived in small towns, big cities and in several different parts of the country -- Ashland is the best of all! Small town charm with big city sophistication, world-class theatre, restaurants, shopping and a backdrop of magnificent mountains and beauty everywhere virtually all year round!
Sugar Mejia purchased this House in 2015
Why Sugar Mejia chose Historic Railroad District
Second Street Cottages is ideally located if you are looking forward to enjoying short walks to wonderful restaurants, world-class theatre, fabulous shopping, unique art, great coffee houses, exciting nightlife, tasting rooms, Lithia Park and more (all within one to three blocks of the house). Described as a “year-round paradise” Ashland draws visitors from around the world during all of its magnificent four seasons. This location is the perfect "home base" -- 90 minutes to Crater Lake (one of the “Natural Wonders of the World”); nearby Britt Festival brings renowned music and entertainment and over 200 wineries and micro-brew establishments in the region. Within minutes of downtown Ashland there is world class white water rafting, kayaking and fishing, mountain biking, hiking, birding, golfing, skiing, snowshoeing, and Creek to Crest and Pacific Crest Trails. Ashland has become a popular destination for wedding and annual family reunion location with an international airport less than 15 minutes away in Medford, OR. Both units on this property can be rented (depending upon availability) and will accommodate up to 13 guests.

Comfortable, well equipped, and central location
This was a great spot for a family get-together for Thanksgiving. Close walking distance to downtown restaurants, Lithia Park, etc. Sugar (the owner) was very kind to stop by with a lantern as a wind storm was knocking out power in some parts of town (luckily didn't affect us).
Only quibble might be a somewhat slow internet connection, which for this time didn't matter, but if needing to get some work done, that could use a speed bump.
Wonderful, charming property a few steps from downtown Ashland
House was absolutely lovely. Was spotless, well equipped and very very charming. Beds were comfortable and home contained everything you needed to feel very much at home. Location was excellent, an easy walk to all attractions. I came with 2 girlfriends and we LOVED it. We hope to return next year.
We loved our stay here. Very clean, very convenient, fit our needs.
Thank you so much for staying with us, Susan. Hope that you come back again soon!
Terrific home in Ashland for a group
We have stayed in Sugar's house numerous times and have enjoyed every time. It is a terrific base in Ashland for a group of six adults. The kitchen is well stocked, the location couldn't be beat and the front porch caps it all off. Sugar is an excellent hostess. We highly recommend this house.
Thank you, Jerry! We always love welcoming your wonderful group. It makes my day to know that you had a good time again on your visit to Ashland. Hope to see you again soon.
Great Stay in Ashland
Lovely home and so convenient for everything in downtown Ashland. Nice not to have to figure out where to park, all around theater and restaurants are walkable.
Perfect location for your visit to Ashland. Historic Railroad District is situated between two downtown shopping and dining areas -- two blocks to theatres, Ashland Coop, fine dining, coffee houses, wine bars, brew pubs, shopping; four blocks to the plaza for people watching and Lithia Park.
