Loved staying in Kissee Mills

The house was very cozy, well stocked. It felt very much like home. The beds were comfortable to sleep on. I got a very good night sleep every night. Before we got there, Ms. Mary texted me and let me know what my surroundings were, i thought was wonderful. Have never had that before. Was a beautiful location right by the water. Will definitely book again next time we come to stay in kissee mills. Thanks again Ms. Mary!

A nice little place on nice little section of the lake...

Although we did not see the area as it normally is due to flooding (Beaver creek was a lake!!), we still had a great time at this nice little lake home and a great time boating on the water. Spacious, clean and affordable, this home provided everything my group of 6 needed to have a blast over 4 days. Mary was a fantastic host and communicated with me quickly for anything that was needed (which was nothing more than basic questions). Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and yard and the house had all the things you need to relax and enjoy your time. Lots of room in the kitchen and the deck is pretty cool as well. I suppose that the only negative I could find was the beds were uncomfortable. But that was it!! The water is a short walk away and there are plenty of places to put in your boat or go for a swim. The driveway is big enough for a large truck and trailer as well. We had a great time and would definitely go back. If you want to skip the crowds and enjoy a quiet and affordable weekend on the water...This is a great place to be. I would definitely recommend it.

Outlr stay was very comfy. The kids loved the home. Very clean and helpful. Would recommend this place to those looking for a nice quiet scene. This is our second time coming to this beautiful home and I am so grateful for the owners for sharing their place for other families.

The WiFi is bad and couldn't get enough signal to make calls let alone internet access. Nice, clean place with plenty of space for us with a nice deck for relaxing in the evening.

Great location - great stay

This was perfect for 3 adults for a weekend getaway. The house was nice and had everything we needed. Loved being able to go down to the end of the street and fish plus popping up to Springfield to go to the aquarium and then into Branson for shows and shopping.

Family Vacation

The host Mary was very helpful with information on the surrounding area. We loved the property, it was perfect for our visit. My mom wanted to stay longer it was so peaceful. Three bedrooms were great, very clean and close to the lake. We plan on staying again when we come and visit family. Thank you Mary for making it so nice.

Spectacular home

It was a great visit. The home was very wonderfully equipped and spectacular. It was so close to the creek my children loved walking to it and enjoy the outdoors. It is very comfortable and relaxing. The owners are very attentive to you. They answered any concerns or questions and very helpful. My family enjoyed it and can not wait to go back one day.

Great place Great Views!

Incredible Ozark Mountain retreat. The views from deck was very nice. The pictures don’t do it justice. The home had everything we needed for our family , and Mary was so helpful to answer questions we had in advance. She also had helpful local info. (This isn’t in his book, but if you come, Parmesan’s Pizza in Kimberling city, near silver dollar, is amazing. )The home was super clean, comfortable and well decorated. The location really is accessible to all Branson has to offer. Thanks again Mary for the incredible stay!

Home away from home!

The home was better than described and in the pictures for the listing. The host responded immediately and checked on us often and offered suggestions for local places. The lake was beautiful ,we enjoyed the proximity to the lake. Every thing you could need was in the house (laundry, dishes to eat/cook, personal care , etc). The home was tastefully decorated, the layout was nice with the main bedroom away from the rest. The furniture was clean and comfortable. Location was great for a day trip to Branson or a boat rental at Bull Shoals. We will definitely be back!

The home was okay except one bedroom had no air conditioning vent and was hot. The WiFi only worked occasionally. The television worked sporadically. We weren’t told we were by a flooded camp ground with no access to swim or rent a pontoon for tubing. We were very far from anything safe to do. We had to drive quite a bit in order to get on a lake.

Be warned!! Not as advertised!?

So communication with the homeowner upon arrival and receiving the keys from the lockbox went well and that is where the good story ends. When driving to the property we noticed that a lot of the area was flooded out. Which was not ever told, communicated or disclosed by the property owner or online for the lake itself. The amenities of having the park,fishing, and swimming which were some of the booking points that we looked forward to when booking this property were not even available. From there we found out from the locals that this lake and property had been flooded out by 28 feet of water for the past 9 months. Therefore that information left hard feelings since none of this was disclosed and we would not have booked this property knowing that we were looking forward to the amenities that were near. The story doesn't end there. The drinking water which was a cloudy Brown water which I have photos of was due to the water treatment plant not being able to filter out the flooded water which now contaminated all drinking water and showering water. This lead to us having to purchase 3 32 cases of water to support our family for a 4-day stay there which we left a day early due to amount of bugs from flood water, wasp, and the mold and animal smell that lingered within the home. Evidence of prior animals being there from pee stains actually in the floor. The smells of animals and urine due to the age of the carpet lead us to a uncomfortable stay when in the home. There was fur all over the comforter in the master bedroom as well. Very displeased with VRBO and the homeowner due to the lack of communication. If pictures are needed I would gladly provide them but in the comments section here were unable to add those. To any future renters be weary of the property and do your thorough investigation with anybody that you can communicate with to ask questions about the area. We are going to request some type of refund or compensation due to the fact we did not stay for our allotted time , Fact that the property was not up to par in any way, and the fact that the surrounding area were below standards.

Stay by the lake

Great place for the whole family. Great and clean! We were interested because of the boat dock but with the water being so high the dock wasn’t accessible. Overall great stay though!

Nice serene location

We were looking for a quiet getaway with the dogs, and this place fit the bill. We had an issue and the nice owners took care of it promptly.

Great place for a vacation

Our family had a wonderful time here! It was a great place - plenty of room (4 adults, two kids), very clean, nice and quiet neighborhood, close to the water. We all loved relaxing on the deck and watching the family of deer in the evenings. The kids loved the bunk beds. The short drive to Branson was perfect for enjoying the beauty of the hills. We all have a blast here and look forward to staying again!

Excellent vacation home

My whole family stayed in this home including a toddler. We had a great time and would Definitely return. We enjoyed having our boat within walking distance to the slips. The kitchen was fully furnished and did not miss anything we needed. We cooked all of our own meals. We loved having the deck area locked for our toddler to play and be safe. Mary was very helpful and easy access.

Excellent vacation home

We rented this home for a week with the whole family including a toddler. The home was perfect for us and really appreciated the deck with closed gates for the granddaughter. The kitchen had everything we needed. We also enjoyed being able to walk to the boat docks! Mary was very helpful when we had a couple questions! We would definitely rent here again.

Comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood.

The home was very clean. Comfortable beds. Kitchen has everything you would need if you’re doing any cooking. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the deer in the evening.

Amazing View

We had the opportunity to stay in this home. From the time we walked in we felt right at home, the fireplace was a great feature, kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. Everything was provided and extremely clean! Great view of the lake and was in walking distance to the dock. We also were just a short distance from Branson. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, nice neighbors, view of the lake and sitting on the deck watching the stars. I highly recommend staying here we will definitely stay again !
