Mattress was excellent. The linen was minimal( not all pillows had pillow cases). Bathroom towel only just adequate. No tea towel was provided. Apparently a welcome pack(including soaps etc and tea bags/coffee , dishwashing liquid & sponge) was supposed to be included but was not given out. Very disappointing that I had to shop before settling in.
Kitchen cabinet laminate had peeled off in sections.
Overall, the place was tidy but tired.

Location is good as across from the marina. The apartment (37) In Nelson Towers is very tired and requires some attention. It is not a low cost apartment so broken ornaments and a filthy rug in the lounge room were very disappointing. Also the cups and glasses are very mismatched. No bottle opener and the coffee machine was broken. Verandah was dirty and the outdoor table filthy.

I booked 2 night last month.I wasn’t happy at all the apartment was all sand everywhere the beds smell very yuck the toilet was very dirty the towels were used and not washed. I called the office it was sunday no one answered. I spent 2-3 hours cleaning the floor washing and drying the bedding and towels.I was very disappointed especially because i already spoke to them few days before my arrival to ensure that the apartment will be cleaned after each visitor and they told yes they have cleaners and they taking extra care during this pandemic time.(i have screen shots for the conversation as a proof).I sent many emails i sent photos and videos to prove my bad experience and how bad it was .the team apologise to me and ask me to email the manager and they sent me her email.I sent her all the conversation screenshots,the apartment photos and videos .she didn’t reply me till now.I will never book this apartment againIn plus it s very hard to find the entry and it s so complicated to get there

absolutely great
This is the third time we have stayed at this unit and we absolutely love it. Its in the heart of Nelson Bay and it has a great view. Once you have parked you car in the garage its stays their, because every thing is walking distance. The unit has everything you need except for food and drink, but you can walk to Woolworth, we are planing to book it again.if you want some were to go and relax its the place.

Great location....but
I've stayed in this unit quite a few times now, its decor is dated, falling apart and plenty of things not working just in general. It needs some TLC big time. Its comfy enough and certainly roomy with a great balcony and so central to all you need. The double car garage is a squish, but yes you can get 2 big cars in, a Commodore and a Toyota side by side if you know how to back them both in with manoeuvring. Upon entering the unit i noticed it was disgustingly dirty, there had been no cleaning after the previous guests and was not impressed as this then took another 2 hours of our time to wait for the unit to be cleaned by amateurs. It can get noisy at night but you get used to it, its normally other tenants who make the noise not so much the road. Will i stay here for the 4th time, probably not, ill be looking elsewhere, until they lift their game.....

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your overall experience at this unit. It would be helpful to know what has concerned you this third visit compared to the first 2 visits, apart from obviously the place not being clean. This is very disappointing to hear and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. This issue will be addressed with our house keeping immediately. We have had no other complaints from guests about the place 'falling apart' or things not working. In future please ring the office immediately if you find some things missing or not in working order and we will have it dealt with immediately. We do hope you come and visit us again.

Lovely unit
Booked through Port Stephens Accommodation which was cheaper than other online booking sites for the same property. Three adults, no kids, stayed 1 week between Easter and school holidays, weather was perfect.
Pros:
Spacious unit with lovely holiday decor. All mod cons, comfortable beds and very clean. Great location above town centre, didn't need the car. Port Stephens Accommodation staff were very friendly and helpful. Booking process and payment was straight forward and plenty of information provided to get you there and settled.
Cons:
With convenient town centre location comes traffic noise, it spoilt relaxing on the lovely big deck a bit. However, the traffic eased at night and double glazing meant the unit was quiet at night, had no trouble sleeping.
The unit is listed as having lock up garage for 2 small cars. The garage is a double garage but it's in the corner and there's no way to manoeuvre to get 2 small cars in. We had to juggle street parking for one of our cars which we didn't think we would have to do when we booked. I think this listing should say room for 1 car and a motor bike so people don't get caught out like we did.
Unit had king size beds so we couldn't bring our own sheets which we prefer to do (had there been another unit available with queen beds would have considered it first.
Didn't appreciate the $13.50 credit charge fee.
I know the "Cons" list looks long, but it's more to let people know what to expect. We really had a lovely time and "Cons" not withstanding we would stay there again (but maybe not if coming in 2 cars).
