George and Sally's farmhouse is a beautifully restored original farmhouse. The Draughn family raised their 7 children in the early/mid 1900's. The original structure is now over 100 years old. Recently restored in 2015, this two bedroom 1 bath home is perfectly located in the countryside just outside of Mount Airy(Mayberry) and Dobson, NC. The farmhouse sits in the middle of a 120 acre farm with views of the blue ridge mountains in the distance. Three miles of walking trails take you to the banks of the Fisher River bordering the farm. Guests can enjoy fishing in the river or in the farm pond located across the road from the house. Come be our guest and enjoy the quiet peacefulness of the Carolina countryside.

Such a charming farm house in a very peaceful setting! It was extremely clean and was equipped with everything one may need to enjoy a home away from home! We enjoyed hiking Pilot Mountain, touring local wineries, & sitting by the gas logs playing monopoly at night. I highly recommend this property to others!
Great home and awesome location. Will def be ba k
Great property and lovely clean home.
This place is simple and amazing. We got married at a venue here in Mt Airy and wanted a nice place to stay before, during and after the wedding. We arrived on Thursday to find a beautiful charming farmhouse. Lots of character to the home. I absolutely loved it! Staying here was a wonderful bonus to our special day. We look forward to staying here again. The owners are very friendly. Highly recommend.
Felt like home!
Katie and Wayne’s home is very warm and inviting! The house was super clean and had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. My 8 year old was thrilled to be able to play outside and enjoy exploring! The owners are super friendly and full of knowledge! Thank you Katie and Wayne for making us feel like we were at home!
Clean, cozy, and charming
We are four college suite mates, class of 1959, who have spent one reunion week per year together for many years. This year it was Mayberry Days and George & Sally’s Farmhouse, and we were completely charmed by both! The house was in a lovely setting, and every effort had been made to provide for our comfort and convenience. Everything was clean, easy to find, and in good working order. Whether sitting around the kitchen or dining room table or enjoying a glass of wine and good conversation on the front porch, among other things, we felt very much at home...and happy to be there!
