It was a lovely residential area to stay. Short stroll to the back beach. Plenty of room for our group. Just need improvement with cleanliness of the property from kitchen cutleries to pots and pans as well as the bbq. We had to give everything a clean before use. Can’t use the oven as it was very smelly with big patch of burnt residue that was left from before. However the host was kind enough to let us have a late check out so it was not too rush. It was a pleasant stay over all.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and your stay overall, and we appreciate you noting this. We apologise for the cleanliness issues and will address this with our team. We hope to welcome you again.
Nice house with plenty of room For a house that holds up to 19 people there needs to be a bigger fridge as it does not hold enough food for that many people. Other than that it’s a lovely house.

Hi. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the house and found it spacious and comfortable. We’ll be sure to pass along your note about the fridge to the owner for their consideration. We truly appreciate you taking the time to provide your thoughts.
Lovely home in a great location. Size was perfect for our large group of 4 families. Our stay was great however we did have 2 issues that were disappointing. The stove & oven were visibly dirty & clearly had not been cleaned. When the oven was turned on to preheat on the first night of our stay, it filled with smoke & smelt awful - we did not use the oven for the remainder of the trip due to the foul smell inside. We were also not given enough doonas for the amount of guests we had booked for which meant that we had to purchase bedding to keep everyone warm at night. Overall, we had a lovely stay but we were disappointed by a few small issues.

Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the home, location and that the size suited your group well.
We sincerely apologise for the issues you experienced with the oven cleanliness and the lack of enough doonas during your stay. We understand how disappointing and inconvenient this would have been. Your comments have been passed on to the cleaner and property owner so these matters can be addressed.
This house was perfect for our stay with 4 families, 8 children aged from 4-10. The kids loved sharing the bunk bed-rooms. We played soccer in the backyard, and did scooter races on the paved area from the garage. The oven was a great size, making it easy for us to cook for a crowd, and the location was wonderful: each day we did the very short walk to the beach with all the kids. Check in was quick and easy, and there was sufficient parking for all our cars out the front. We were all really happy with our stay, thank you to the owners

Hi Bronya,
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled the house worked perfectly for your group and that the kids had such a great time. We really appreciate your kind words and hope to host you again
Lovely house in a great spot- room for 3 families. Walking distance to beach, room for the dog in the backyard! WiFi was a bonus for the teenagers 😊 We had a fantastic stay.
We are a group 10 friends so the bedding configuration was ideal, comfy lounge areas and kitchen was clean and well equipped. Big BBQ and good outdoor eating space. There was a small plumbing problem with the toilet which was promptly addressed as soon as we reported it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We were in total 18 of us that stayed at this property. It was spacious and had everything that we needed. The kitchen was well equipped. The tea, coffee and coffee machine was a nice touch. The youngsters had their own space upstairs to hang out playing boardgames and watching movies. We went for alot of walks to explore the area which was nice. Some hangers in all the wardrobes would be nice as there was no place to hang our clothes. Thankyou...we had a lovely and comfortable stay.
Our stay was incredible! The house was amazing and we had a relaxing time away. The location is well positioned and a close enough drive to get into Cowes. There are plenty of areas to hang out, the beds were comfortable and the amenities were fantastic. The backyard has a wonderful open space, with a decking to relax on. Unfortunately the BBQ didn't work and the basketball ring was broken but that didn't ruin our experience. The house was super clean and just a really nice place to get away fro the weekend! Would definitely go back to stay there!
Great layout of the house for 3 different families, good sized yard and outdoor eating space, walking distance to dog beach and sand dunes or the wave beach. Overall great stay! Minor issues that could be easily fixed, only 1 tea-towel provided, 2 of the cooktop elements didn’t work and we couldn’t use the oven as all the labels had worn off - not sure if it worked, hair dryer also didn’t work - minor issues in an otherwise amazing stay - thank you, we’ll be back!
We enjoyed ourselves but en-suite vanity top was dirty. We found plastic drinking cups leaked( we presume dishwasher damage causing cracks around the base) so throw some away. Also only 2 drinking glasses. Neither bedside lamps worked in the downstairs queen bedroom,so we had to buy new globes, bit frustrating having to pay for that. Thanks.
A few small investments could make this property great, but sadly it fell short.
Examples:
BBQ igniters did not work, you need to lift the plates up to light. This means that you can't turn it off and then back on again shortly afterwards as the plates are too hot.
Oven decals had worn off so it was complete guesswork as to how to get it hot enough to cook
Gas hobs - the majority did not seem to light. The grating was not correct meaning that smaller pans were quite unstable
Beds - although most of the mattresses were ok, one of them was lumpy and uncomfortable.
Seating - not enough for a full complement of guests to sit at one time.
Kitchen implements - a bit of an odd one but the drawers and cupboards were crowded with more implements than necessary. It felt like a dumping ground for the owners' unwanted stuff.
Cleanliness was not great. The top of the extractor hood was very greasy, there were objects left behind by previous guests (including bottle caps in cupboards and on top of the extractor hood).
The bed linen arrangement was very strange. Certain items were provided but others you had to pay for or provide yourself. It wasn't clear why.
On the whole this is a decent property if you've got a large number of guests but it is frustrating that a few small and fairly obvious tweaks and investments haven't been made.

Thanks Peter for taking the time to review. We've already replaced the oven so we're sorry that had not yet been done for your stay. There should have been a long-armed lighter for the BBQ, so that was unfortunate that it must have been moved by the guests prior. Being in a regional area with few laundromats, regarding linen - as per the listing guests can either bring their own beds sheets, pillow cases and bath towels, or we can add that on for a fee if guests would prefer. We have photos of the tables & chairs on the listing so we encourage guests to review. We'll chat to the cleaner regarding the rangehood, thanks for raising that with us; we will however keep the overstocked kitchen utensils as guests love finding exactly what they're after in that drawer! Kind regards, Phillip island Holiday Homes
everything was great, the drain in the downstairs shower is semi-blocked , no real drama but it won’t get any better , regards WH

Great location but needed some TLC
Outside of the property needed some love - a lot of cobwebs, grass needed mowing, dusty and just some general maintenance. No batteries in some of the remotes, and there was only one champagne glass - lots of other glasses though. The bedrooms were great and upstairs bathroom lovely. Downstairs bathroom shower clogged up. Kitchen was well supplied but needed a better clean (a bit greasy in parts). Had to run glasses through dishwasher as they had fingerprints all over them. Overall the place was very comfortable but could be really lovely with a bit more time and effort.
Enjoyed out stay at the property. It would have been noce if it had a 3rd toilet given that it accommodates 19 ppl and only 2 toilets was a struggle. But the overall property experience was great. Please do consider putting a ducted heating and cooling.
The place was perfect for our trip with big groups of friends with children. Check in process was easy and they were also super helpful to send something back to us that we left behind. Location was close enough to walk to a quiet beach. Would recommend if going for a trip with a big group
This property is well furnished, clean and warm. We had no problems and really enjoyed the space for a large group of 11 mixed with kids and adults. The only thing to be aware of is you need to bring own linen, towels and pillow cases which will add to your packing load. My only other suggestion is the venue update their kitchen items such as glasses, fry pans etc. Overall, a great weekend getaway with friends. We would definitely return to this property.

Get Together went well but all of us very disappointed in the overall presentation of the property
I hope there isn't a word limit as I have an extensive list of complaints!
-The smell of curry on entering the property was overwhelming I don't mind curry but this was overpowering.
-The Oven was absolutely filthy! we decided to investigate the BBQ instead and is was even dirtier then the filthy oven
-The knob on the electric kettle was missing making it potentially dangerous
-The top of the stove has the incorrect hob fittings which means the saucepans tip over again a real hazard!
-The Many Cobwebs ended up being the least of our worries
-The rubbish under the beds and behind and under the couches and cushions was disgusting this has not been properly cleaned for a LONG time unless the previous renters were pigs
-Empty Boxes/Rolls of Baking paper and Tin Foil
-The shelves and bottom of cupboards and Drawers were dirty
-Fly Screens and windows were very dirty and some Mouldy
-Queen bed downstairs really Rickety and Mattress very uncomfortable felt like springs were pocking through
-Milk frother missing the part that froths the milk
-Coffee Plunger has a hole in the bottom!
-Split system downstairs did not work
-Lights over kitchen bench were also filthy
-The power point in the Bed2 upstairs was extremely unsafe as it was not secure and pushed into the wall
ALL IN ALL THE FAMILY ENJOYED GETTING TOGETHER BUT THE PROPERTY WAS EXTREMELY DIRTY AND VERY DISAPOINTING
SOMTHING SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE PRESENTATION AND CLEANING OF THIS PROPERTY
I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHS OF ALL THE THINGS LISTED AND AM HAPPY TO SEND THEM

Really sorry to hear Dawn was disappointed. We'd have love to have heard from her during her stay to be able to check and fix any issues. Unfortunately, she sent photos which showed a clean home after her stay, so with respect, I think her definitions and expectations are very very different. After seeing her comments, we checked both the clean report prior (and after) and respectfully, we strongly disagree. We (and our cleaners) are human, and can miss things, but it's disappointing to not be given a fair chance and to be left an extremely inaccurate review. I hope guests will refer to other comments to provide some context.
