If you're looking for a quiet, roomy home with the most amazing view of Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, look no further. Breathtaking views of Pikes Peak, the Garden of the Gods and the front range of Colorado... it is spectacular. The hot tub on the deck is probably one of the most wonderful hot tub experiences you'll have in your life. Old Colorado City and the Garden of the Gods are within walking distance. Some of the many attractions within just a few miles are Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, historical downtown Colorado Springs, the Cog Railway, Barr Trail, the Air Force Academy, the Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, the Broadmoor Hotel, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the New Santa Fe hiking/biking trail. If you stay for three days or more, I'll be glad to personally guide you into the Crags of Pikes Peak hiking area (very easy hike) or show you the way to a back trail to climb Pikes Peak which is very difficult requiring excellent fitness. I also have two bicycles that you can use and will be glad to direct you to some amazing bike paths. I have a canoe, but require that you've had some kind of certifiable course training for safety reasons. We can discuss in person.

About Tim Hobson
Hello! My name is Tim Hobson and I'm a Colorado native born and raised in Colorado. I've been in Colorado Springs since 1988 working as an IT Project Manager for 30 years. I've finally decided to break away from the life in a cubical and go back to my love of working with customers. I was a llama / fishing outfitter/guide back in the early 90's. I have backpacked and camped all over Colorado. My main goal is to insure you have a wonderful time when you come to stay in my home. I will go out of my way to make sure you're comfortable, cozy, entertained and happy during your stay. Therefore, this is not just your standard rental. My plan is to add services which will improve your stay. I'll be glad to discuss the activities you're planning in the Colorado Springs area and make sure your vacation is a wonderful experience! I'm looking forward to meeting you.
Tim Hobson purchased this House in 1999
Why Tim Hobson chose West Colorado Springs
You just can't beat the view from my back deck. I've had many people visit my home and are 'jaw dropped' when they walk out onto my back deck. It really is spectacular. The sunrises and sunsets are soothing to the soul. The hot tub experience is magical. You just won't believe how beautiful it is. Watching the sun go down over Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods and then star gazing into the night is an experience of a lifetime. Of course, location is everything when you come to Colorado Springs. My home is in the heart of so many wonderful attractions.
What makes this House unique
1) Free hiking/biking/fishing guide (me!) 2) Centrally located in the middle of many of the tourist attractions in the area that make the city of Colorado Springs famous. 2) Game room in the garage including ping pong and pool 3) Wildlife come right into the yard. 4) An old, lovely grand piano that sounds wonderful in the sun room. 5) Over 40 board games in the collections (so far). If you have a game you like to play and I don't have it, I'll get it! It's just another addition to my collection of games in the house. 6) One of the most amazing views in Colorado Springs. I've had many friends of mine who are Colorado Springs natives that are stunned to see that I have such an amazing view. The first thing people say when they walk onto the deck is, "Wow... this is amazing." Come see for yourself.

Fabulous property! We will definitely be back!
We arrived late at night so the amazing view first thing the next morning blew us away!
Owner has thought of everything....cannot think of one thing we needed for our stay and Tim is a great host! We are looking forward to many visits to come and just hope we will have a chance to stay here again...we even joked that if we gave too good a review we would be sliming our chances to book again!!! Thanks Tim for making our trip even better than we could have imagined!
Fantastic getaway, everything you need, spectacular views!
We stayed (me my husband and our 2 best friends from Colorado) at this amazing home, hosted by the more amazing Tim. The views were spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed our New Years Eve 2019 in the hot top overlooking Pikes peak with fireworks! Tim had the house stocked with everything you could possibly need, robes, coffee, plenty of clean towels, and all types of staples for cooking as well, which saved us at the grocery store, the kitchen is chock full of every utensil and piece of cookware you may need for your stay, The house was clean, the beds and bedding, including the pillows were clean and super comfy. Being there in the winter months, did not put a damper on our fun, with an official size ping pong table, pool table, darts and corn hole, oh let’s not forget about the fussball table too. When down time was needed Tim had many movies to chose from his Netflicks library and the cozy fireplace to snuggle in to enjoy. Oh, don’t forget to play one of the many games available and be sure to take your fingers for a stroll across the piano!!
We can’t wait to book this magnificent place again and make more memories! You won’t be disappointed!
Thanks Tim for all you do!
Amazing accommodation and views with an extremely responsive and gracious property owner.
Our family of 6 adults chose this as our destination Christmas location. We were so pleased with our choice! The property owner Tim went above and beyond by completely decorating the house with a Christmas tree and lights-he even set out six stockings for us! The kitchen possessed every gadget we needed to prepare Christmas cookies and our traditional dinner. The beds and bedding were so very comfortable and cozy. But the most outstanding feature had to have been the views. Absolutely stunning! We spend many evenings in the hot tub enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. There were also an extensive array of activities to enjoy in the area as well as every game (board games, cards, pool, ping pong and foosball) we could possibly want at the house. It was such a relaxing time with family and we could not have enjoyed it more. Thank you Tim for making our holiday getaway such a success!
I'd go back again and again.
So many extras. We felt spoiled. The view was amazing. Coffee and robes and ice cream and flowers and candy and... The hot tub was so relaxing. We plan on going back. Book this trip now. So much room. The beds were so comfortable. I cannot say a bad thing. Seriously simply amazing.
This is our ninth VRBO/Homeaway rental - so here goes:
Arrival-Saturday, 4:00 Check-in -Tim called the day before leaving to see when we were coming in. No one else has done that. He even asked if there was anything we needed at the house before arriving. No one has done that. We were going to be pretty early, due to the flight time, and we just need to know if we can come in early or show up at 4. Two owners said 4, no matter what. Tim and others based check-in on when house was ready, not 4:00. Arrival = A+
House-Very clean, comfortable, view fantastic. We had 6" of snow on Sunday, and Monday's view from the deck was simply spectacular. We look at the little things when renting: Kleenex, toilet paper, even dish towels, due to being there a week. Usually have to get more, because the owner's skimp. Not Tim. Garage had heaters, smart. Temperature in house was something we could control. And Extra Fans! During Tim's tour of the house, he asked a blunt question. The front room's TV picture was starting to go. My opinion was - OK for us but replace after. He was ready to go to the store then, but I said, nope, it was OK. No one has done that. And Plush robes! An Elk wandered by on Wednesday. Very cool. House = A
Location- Less than 5 minutes for everything you need. I'm jealous. Location = A+
Owner/Host- Tim is the only one of the nine owners who talked to me before arriving. Upon meeting him on Saturday, I met a passionate guy who truly cares about taking care of the people who rent his home. Also accessible: Certain idiots locked themselves in the garage without key and cell phone on Monday-opened the garage door and got lucky with a couple walking their dogs. Cavalry arrived within 10 minutes while we waited playing Ping Pong. Owner/Host = A+
We would rent this place again in a heart beat.
All the comforts of home...and more
The view is the star of the show. The pictures don't do it justice. Incredible. Tim (owner) is very hands-on and accessible. He has simply thought of everything. This is a turnkey operation--just add fresh food from the King Soopers about 5 minutes away, and you are set.
The early 80s decor as seen in the pictures is surprisingly well-preserved, and the property is located in a quiet, authentic neighborhood.
We look forward to staying at Tim's place again, and would certainly recommend it to our friends and family.
The Air Force Academy is 14 miles away. The football games are great! Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Broadmoor Hotel are located near each other and are about 7 miles. The Broadmoor Hotel is a historical site open to the public. There is a wonderful lake and views including restaurants and bars. You can sit and have a drink and soak in the atmosphere of a 5 star hotel (but then come back and hang out at the most amazing spot Colorado Springs... the back deck). The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is fantastic. It's one of the best zoos in the country. The entrance to the Pikes Peak Highway is about 11 miles. It's another 19 to drive to the top. All of these attractions can be found via the web on a variety of websites. Last, but not least, my house is at the gateway to the Rocky Mountains. I'll be glad to help steer you in the right direction for site seeing, hiking, biking, fishing and many other recreational activities. Bottom line: My home is centrally located to many wonderful attractions and I'll make sure you have a wonderful time during your visit. Note: If you stay for three days or more, I'll be glad to take you on a guided walk into the Crags area on the north-west slope of Pikes Peak. It's a very beautiful area and the hike is easy. We can discuss all of your needs and interests over the phone when you call.
