Take landing in this newly renovated four bedroom home, situated on a quiet street centrally located between the beach road and main bypass in Kill Devil Hills. This home offers all the style and luxury of a beautiful Outer Banks home, designed for more intimate family and couple gatherings. Landing Pad is sure to be your family favorite if you are looking for a mellow beach vacation.

Start your day off right! Rejuvenate each morning by laying in the Hammock and reading a good novel. The Landing Pad is located just one block from the Atlantic Ocean, so your family only has a short walk before their toes hit the sand. And to make it even easier, Beach Chairs, a Beach Cart, and a Beach Umbrella are provided for your convenience. After a long day of soaking in the sun, relax on the back deck sipping your favorite night-time beverage, while enjoying the wildlife, grilling out on the NEW Gas Grill and listening to all that nature has to offer on the Outer Banks. Rejuvenate each morning while laying in the Hammock and reading a good novel. Relaxation is endless at the Landing Pad!

A variety of restaurants are located just a short walk away, and shopping, grocery stores, movie theater, putt-putt golf, and more are all located within minutes by car.

The house you need for your vaction

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect for our family. The only thing that I would suggest is having the cleaning company clean the floor properly because it was very dirty.

Good location and floor plan

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the rental was excellent. There was plenty to do within a short drive and it is within walking distance to multiple beach access points. The floor plan worked perfectly for our family. Unfortunately, the place was filthy. There were dirty socks under the beds and visible dirt under and around all of the furniture. Between the couch cushions were filled with debris. Overall, I would consider staying here again if it had a thorough cleaning before hand.

Great Rental for our Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was exactly as described. It was clean, just the right size for 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids). Our kids loved the bunk bed room! We also really enjoyed the lovely and private back porch - we sat out there every morning and evening. The laundry room was large and spotless. It was also so nice to have beach chairs and toys available at the house. It is a bit of a walk on somewhat busy streets from the beach, so we were glad we brought a wagon for our 5 year old to ride in. There is also noise from the street traffic that can be heard from the back porch and at night from the bedrooms on the west side of the house, but that would be true of any house on that part of the block. It would be nice if starter toilet paper and paper towels were provided especially given the price. Overall, though, this was a nice house and we really enjoyed our stay.

Not As The Pictures Seem

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Picts made home look ALOT bigger then it actually is. Maybe 18 inches to walk between couch and wall to get to one of the BR. NO cable in any of the BR's, limited cable w NO kids channels in LR. No AC upon arrival, had to bring in window units for BR's. Common area is VERY small with alot of furniture crammed in. Toaster, coffee pot doesnt work properly, no counter space. WAY more than 1000 feet to the beach, be ready to drive to the main road and about 2-3 blocks to beach access. Outside shower allows water to drain into the parking area, so standing water at car all week.

Thank you for your review, Tonya. I do see where the A/C was out upon your arrival but our team did have window units to you within 2 hours and the A/C was back up and running the following day. We will share the other portions of your feedback with the owners and appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback with us.

Need a few improvements

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Vacuum cleaner was left out and plugged in, we had to finish the vacuuming. Lots of crumbs; sand and even an old piece of cauliflower by the tv stand. Biggest problems were the tvs in the bedrooms did not work so instead of a house with 5 tvs we got 1 tv, very disappointing. And add some mirrors! Only mirrors were 2 small medicine cabinet mirrors in the bathrooms which were set to high for anyone under 5’6. We add to pull chairs into the bathroom to see below the neck. There was also moldy coffee grounds still in the coffee maker but a new machine was dropped off within a day which was great. House was also in a terrible location for beach access. House was cute but could use a few easy improvements.

We did not hear from your during your stay regarding the TVs and would have liked to have assisted you with that issue. Our offices are open 7 days a week to assist our guests with any issues. We do provide a map within the home's listing so guests can easily visualize where the nearest beach access will be and are happy to assist guests in locating the best option for their home. Beautiful Vacation

The property was roomy. There were amenities and activities within the home. They provided a welcome bag and easy access to many activities around the area. The beach was a 5 minute walk. Overall we enjoyed our time here tremendously and will be returning. The only thing I would change is the floors and some areas were not as clean as I would like considering the fees that we paid.

Great house for family beach trip

This property was in a great location - about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. It was a few houses down from a busy road, but the traffic noise wasn't too noticeable, and it afforded convenience to shops, restaurants, etc. The house was clean, bright, and as advertised in the photos. We loved the outdoor shower and the grill!

After arriving to our original home, booked through Outer Banks Blue, we found that the owner was never informed there was a reservation leaving us with nowhere to stay! That is where Beach Realty came to the rescue. Not only did they quickly get us into this beautiful home, the provided us with gift certificates to local restaurants to help ease our stress. The home was very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend going through Beach Realty (and NOT Outer Banks Blue!).

Relaxing Week

The beach access was farther away than we expected but the house was great. It had plenty of room, and many extra touches. We were particularly impressed that there was a pot large enough to do a low country boil.

Great house for family get-away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at "Landing Pad" over the July 4th holiday. The location was great: very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and the beach (< 1/2 mile walk to public beach access). The house was very well-appointed, comfortable for our group of 7. The kitchen had lots of cookware, plates, glasses, etc, and it was nice that the rental company left us dish soap and a new sponge. Beds were comfortable (ceiling fans in every room), bathrooms clean, great water pressure, A/C, and no bugs! The washer/dryer worked great (entrance is off back porch; took us a while to find it) and there was a closet by the outdoor shower with beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, toys, cart, etc...everything you need for a day at the beach. There was spectrum cable (although not in every bedroom--ours had a tv with DVD player) and puzzles and games to keep us entertained while indoors. While we were there, two new chairs and a table for the front porch were delivered; it's obvious the owners care about making this house comfortable. We would definitely recommend this vacation home, and the rental company, and would happily use them again for future trips. (about the rental company: we left some items behind and they were very nice about locating them and mailing them to us--great service)
