I love staying here. The view of the lagoon and the birds is a slice of paradise making walks, including the beach and river a daily pleasure. It’s cozy, comfortable, well equipped and warm. The upstairs mezzanine is a sun trap and a wonderful place on a cold day. Communication is prompt and caring. Thank you.

Property was beautiful. The small deck area out the back has a lovely view over the water. The house is well looked after. Very cozy. And the communication from the host was excellent. We felt very welcome.

This ticks all of the boxes from the wonderful host's communication, location of the bach, it is beautifully warm with a log burner. Linens are always beautifully clean. If you have mobility issues there is a downstairs bedroom - it is ideal.. oh and its private too, with beautiful trees and shrubs ensuring privacy. Our little dog loves it, and feels safe here. Thank you for having us back

Beautifully situated beach house

We wanted a quiet place to relax and this was what we got. Comfortable, colourful, so close to the varied bird life on Waimanu Lagoon, and to the beach and river for walking. It was a lucky find. I'd travel from Auckland again to stay there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jenny's home. The location is great with access to the beautiful lagoon walking track available immediately at the rear of the house. Also, the house is close to Waikanae Beach and the Waikanae River Inlet. This beach is one of the best on the Kapiti Coast. We appreciated the prompt and welcoming attitude of Jenny and the fact that our Bordie Collie dog was allowed to stay with us. The house was very clean and tidy and it's a great place to relax and enjoy the lagoon views and the bird life.

What a beautifully kept home, ideal for families and couples alike. Very Pet Friendly, I think our dog Lili would like us to move in! The Host has been awesome as a family crisis interrupted our holiday. Thank you Jennifer for your understanding and kindness. The view of the lagoons is absolutely unbeatable, and relaxation happened without us noticing. Thank you for hosting us.

This house was exactly as described on the web site and the location was even better than we had imagined. A quite road with easy access to the beach and a short drive to nearby cafes and mini markets. The highlight was the lagoons which were just outside of the back garden. Being able to walk around the lagoons and enjoy watching the water birds as well as listen to the dawn chorus of the other bird was a real privilege.

Serene and idyllic

The house is perfect for a small family, but the location is the real draw. The Waimanu Lagoon at the back door is stunning and peaceful and filled with a multitude of birds. From the front door is it short stroll to Waikanae Beach and all that it offers.

Stairs

The owner gave very food info about the stairs and as we are in our 80’s we decided to sleep downstairs. It’s a lovely bach in a great spot by the beautiful lagoons with bountiful wildlife and close to the beach

Amazing relaxing location

The bach is right on the beautiful lagoon, you could easily spend a day just sitting on the back deck just watching the birds. The inside is cosy, with everything you need in a holiday home. The owner is great, with speedy communication, and lots of helpful info.
