This spacious, modern and sunny home with multiple living areas has been tastefully decorated throughout. Suitable for 1-2 families or small groups of mature couples it is located in the heart of Mangawhai's 'Golden Circle'. Within walking distance of the shops, estuary and golf course what more could you want, maybe a pool, well its got that too! The main house has three bedrooms and a bathroom and then the 'sleepout' has one bedroom, a bathroom and a huge living area.

The lush tropical gardens provide a beautiful background and create a relaxing oasis reminiscent of a tropical island. The hardest decision will be whether to venture out or just to chill out around the pool. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy Magical Mangawhai.

A really great place for our family of 7. Walking distance to the local restaurants, shops and supermarket. Only 1.5hr drive from Auckland, so the drive back home to Auckland was quick. The only thing we noticed was the lounge smelt like a cat lived there. The smell was quite strong, we had to air out the space during the cold weather. Apart from that, we would happily return. The hosts were quick to respond to our queries, and helpful.

Had a lovely stay in this Mangawhai house. It was a nice large space with plenty of room for everyone. It had everything we needed and was a short walk to shops and restaurants. The only downsides were the wifi was terrible so everyone had to use data and the TV in the smaller unit couldnt get a signal. Didnt stop us enjoying our time here though! Would definitely return.

Two separate living area’s definitely helped us during our stay here, everyone could have their own area to chill in, children and adults were well accommodated in this way, would be good for two separate small families as well.

Hidden oasis

Fantastic property for our family of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids) the sleepout is much bigger than the photos give credit. Perfect for a second lounge or parents retreat - pool was great to have as well.

An Amazing property where you can gather as a family in 1 side and also go and have a quiet moment if needed in the other part but still see what is happening across the pool in other area.

Extended family getaway

Great house & very comfortable. Plenty of room & living space. Would rebook if we’re to go back to Mangawhai Heads. Very close to the village. The pool is small but was fine for cooling off, would be great for littlies. Property managers were lovely to deal with and went out of their way to help me when we left something behind after checkout.

Love this place caters to your needs I’d imagine this spot to be hard to book over summer. Just because it has everything you need there. Oh in the first driveway the decking there is abit slippery apart from that awesome spot. Cheers.

Great property for a group

Our extended family of 7 adults and 3 children enjoyed the stay with plenty of room in the 2 houses. The pool was a great hit with the kids. There were a few things that needed attention which I have informed the property manager of but they did not detract from our great stay. The swimming pool fence definitely needs some work but we were able to fix it to make it safe. Overall it is a great property in a good location with an easy walk to the estuary.

Location Beds & Layout for the win

Great property. We loved the pool l. The set up was fabulous for our group (2 families). Beds were uber comfy and being able to split the super kings made configuration perfect. Sadly, 2 downfalls. 1, there is only one plug in the whole kitchen, which is shared with the microwave, making access difficult. I could have lived with that, but the other issue is, no aircon at all in any living room or bedroom. It was too hot for us sadly. Otherwise I'd rent it again and again. Two diwnfalls

Awesome accommodation for large families or groups

Great house for large groups; having the main house and the sleep out with the decking area and pool in between provided our family our own space if needed but also closeness for us to be together. The house is within walking distance to the town centre and easy enough to get to the beach. We enjoyed being at the house with the pool that we didn't feel the need to venture out that much. Wifi and netflix was available in both houses and that was great for all of our family. Dave and Steph were easy to deal with, Steph was really helpful on our arrival. Minor things to note which I suspect they will address during the quiet period is the toilet seat in main house could be replaced and the pool fence fully secured where it was coming away at the bottom of the fence (wasn't an issue for our family but just for complete safety). Other than that, our family really enjoyed our stay. We wanted to relax and feel comfortable at the house and we got what we wanted.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your feedback. We have actually just fitted 2 new toilet seats so that should hopefully alleviate that problem and there is a new pool being put in before the next pool season in December. This includes modification to the decking and fencing so there is a plan to fix this. The fencing is not old but it appears some of the screws/fittings used were poor quality. Thanks again and hopefully we will see you again in the future.
