North House - Custom-built Home tucked away in the Woods, near Russell Bay!

Welcome to North House! This custom built home is nestled in the woods about three miles from the State Park. The large private yard is perfect for yard games, lounging on the deck or relaxing in the three season porch. You will enjoy a full kitchen and breakfast bar with bar stools; a wonderful gathering area while preparing meals. The spacious open floor plan features a comfortable family room off the kitchen with a floor to ceiling fireplace.
North House features many windows allowing plenty of sunlight to fill the home; and, give you the feeling of communing with nature. The home would be perfect for a family gathering.  The home features 4 Bedrooms.  The primary bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed and private bath. The remaining three bedrooms are on the second floor one is a  queen bed the remaining two have two twin beds in each.
(North House has a well appointed guest house apartment above the garage that is available upon request. Please call 888-747-2388)

Condiments (including salt & pepper, ketchup, mustard, oils etc. - WI Department of Health & Human Services requires all condiments must be removed after each rental)
Additional towels for going to the beach (bath towels provided are for use inside the property not to be taken outside or to the beach)

Lots of space

It was a very nice house, private, lots of inside and screen porch space. Lots to look at, that was appreciated.

It is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting.

Overall, it was a good experience. There were a few things that could be improved upon. The water in upstairs bathroom sink and shower were very slow draining. The lights in the kitchen were burned out, and the grill ran out of propane just after the burgers and brats were placed on the grill. A new tank arrived very quickly after we notified the management company.

North house was undersold and over delivered.

We have stayed at several VRBO or HomeAway places and they all have been good experiences but they are usually a little bit of a let down once you get there because the pictures and descriptions make it look better than actual. Not the North house. This was a beautiful house on a quiet secluded property that was in the middle of the island between downtown and the parks. Service was great too as we had to pump out the holding tank while we were there - no issues. We also didn’t have water pressure issue at all. Master bedroom and bath were better than what we have at home. Played cards every night in the screened in porch as the bugs could get bad at times. So peaceful - We will be back!

Had issues with low water pressure throughout stay

Very beautiful property that the listing did not do it justice. The only problem I had was that the water pressure was very low to the point where it was completely difficult to take a shower Or do dishes.

It is more beautiful than the pictures. Such a lovely retreat. Water pressure is a low, but I suppose that is part of island life. I hope to return in all the seasons!

First Time on Madeline Island

We were not aware that cell coverage was so spotty and the need to have a healthy dose of insect repellent was required. The only thing about the property was I wish there was a vacuum cleaner or possibly a broom since the grass was cut while we were there.
