Last Minute Get Away

We loved our stay at this property. Check in was very easy so was accessing the building. The balcony was huge and we enjoyed our early morning coffees and our late night visits there. The street was so quiet that we could listen to the ocean from the balcony. The pool was crystal clear and clean. It was very refreshing. The quick walk and easy access to the beach was so important and we spent most of our time there. This condo had everything we needed to make our stay extra special. We would definitely rent again.

Great long weekend

The property location is excellent. The condo is great for a small family. The stove did not work great, that was my only complaint. Pool was nice and clean.

Bed and couch are shot. Other things were okay.

Great location. Fairly peaceful and good weather this time of year. The pool was nice. Kitchen and bathroom functioned as they should. We were sorry to find the floor and furniture dirty. Hair in shower drain as well. (Not the owners fault ) We were glad a vacuum and "swiffer" were there. Bed was uncomfortable...long past needing replacement. Couch cushions were shot too. Did not sleep well on any night. Really put a dent in our vacation. Sorry to be negative, but we feel we were " taken" / ripped off to be subjected to such things. Spoiled the trip , to a degree. We note they some new dishes immediately when we pointed out almost no microwaveable dishes. That was a plus, but did not make up for poor bed and couch. Am curious to see what efforts are made to make this right. We would stay again when bed and couch are replaced., but feel ripped off at present.

Excellent week at the shore

Lovely place. Three of us, including my wife and 95 year mother in-law fit in well. Close to the ocean, the pool was great. proper ,managers were excellent and the neighbors residents and other renters were friendly and helpful. While kitchen was fully equipped we could have used more silverware, oven and burners worked well but the markers on the knobs are backwards. Porch is excellent, spacious. Cushions for the chairs would be nice. Sofa bed is not vert comfortable. Glad we found the place and would be very happy to return.

Great place to stay

We rented this place for a short beach getaway. The location is perfect, right in the beach access and only a few steps from the beach. Note! It is not close to the boardwalk. We drove to the boardwalk two nights and it was great. We preferred the quiet away from the noise. The place was great, it’s a little outdated but it doesn’t really matter, you have everything you need. And the balcony is huge with a nice beach view. Overall, a great place to stay.

Would do it again!

Had an amazing time. Place is clean and enjoyable. It was just me since my daughter was down with all her friends, and i need somewhere for myself to enjoy and this place, with the view and pool was great

Several issues

The property initially appeared clean but then we discovered a lot of crumbs under the furniture. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working and the next day someone from the cable company had to come out and replace the unit. We were only there from Thursday through Sunday So basically 1/3 of our time there we couldn’t watch TV and my grandkids weren’t able to play on their tablets because of the lack of Wi-Fi. The unit it’s pretty outdated and could use a makeover.

Nice balcony, great location, but uncomfortable beds

When we got there, the condo was spacious and in a great location. I was aware of bringing our own sheets and pillow cases. However, we didn’t know we need to bring blanket. I messaged the owner about this and no responses. The owner was in contact w us previously! Also, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and my kids ended up sleeping on the couch because the pull out sofa was all springs & that it! Other than that the condo was fantastic. The owner Must invest in new beds and comforter!

Sheets and towels

Overall we enjoyed our stay, but would have preferred that the property was stocked with linens and towels. We found out after booking that we would be responsible for all sheets and towels, which put a heavy burden on us when packing for a short trip. We also arrived to find half a roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, no cooking oil or other basic products. The space itself was very nice and comfortable, but with a bare bones setup. Location was excellent and the balcony was a great place to relax by the ocean.

Great beach condo

This was a great place. The condo is right on the beach, and parking for the unit is right by the elevator which makes moving in very easy. The unit itself was clean and is decorated in a style I would characterize as Beach Baroque. We would stay here again.

Just got home

We enjoyed our stay, nice for a couple. Only sleeps 2, 1 bed. Pull out couch was sleeping on 2 inches off metal springs. Not a fan at all of cushioned toilet seat. We didn’t eat there and brought our own K-cup coffee machine. All in all for how much time spent there it was nice. Didn’t communicate with owner N/A

We really liked this place but a few cons

Overall, we had a great stay, but there a several touches that could make this condo absolutely amazing. Some of the cons are for the Diamond Head Condominium itself *not room 208 and I don’t know to whom to address those problems too.  Pros: -Location is wonderful! Easy walk to beach. -Large space in living areas -Keycode instead of a door key is brilliant and made leaving so effortless -Parking spot couldn’t have been better right up front by stairs and elevator -Plenty of electrical outlets  -Large kitchen and storage areas for food -Nice small recliner for child -Air conditioning was very cold and nice  -WiFi signal was awesome  -TONS of room compared to any other place we’ve ever stayed  Cons: -Many things in the condo are just on the verge of breaking (particularly the vertical blinds which we were afraid to open, shower doors, toilet flusher, most balcony chairs)  -As mentioned by another reviewer, the small toilet with the fabric seat is not comfortable and had to hold down the handle to flush. Fix? Replace toilet  -Tons of light switches and dials with no labels on them so you spend a lot of time playing with them wondering what they are even functioning. Fix? Label all lights  -Lots of big and small pieces of rusty metal was left on balcony. It appeared a chairs and tables were rusting away. With a small child in tow, I couldn’t avoid NOT cleaning it up. It took quite a bit of time and we still never went barefoot on the balcony in case tiny metal pieces remained. Fix? Get a magnetic sweeper to remove all remains -All but 2 plastic balcony chairs were very rusty. Fix? Remove all metal chairs/tables  -Hard to get balcony door slid open and concerns of it staying locked while you were out there -No security at the condo  -Parking spot is beside an unloading zone, but yet there was often someone parked there. Fix? Get security  -No way to bring up your items easily (i.e. large bin or luggage racks) Fix? Get some bins -Too many smokers at the pool disregarding posted signs that say “No Smoking”. Fix? Get security  -On the 3rd floor above the pool, there’s an older senior family that live there all summer and they watch the area like hawks. We heard them verbally bully several people and young children as they watched over them swimming multiple days. Meanwhile they were smoking at the pool in the corner all morning long. Fix? Get security

Cute little condo in great location

The location was great. Loved how close we were to the beach, and nice view from the balcony. Walking distance to good restaurants. The place itself is a bit smaller then anticipated. The layout and amount of furniture had a lot to do with cramp space. Place was dusty in spots, mostly in bedroom (lampshades, headboard, fan). The light switches need to be rewired. They need to use 3-way switches instead of 2-way bc sometimes was tricky figuring out how to turn on lights in bathroom. Overall was a nice place to stay for a long weekend.

Cute Condo!

This condo was a great location for my husband and I. He is disabled so the parking spot almost right in front of the elevator was perfect. When getting off the elevator the condo entrance is right there. The condo is nicely decorated but the living space is small. We could barely pull our suitcase through the bedroom door. The toilet in the bathroom sits low and we did not like the cushion toilet seat. Sorry! Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. There is a huge balcony with ocean views and we were able to walk to several nice restaurants nearby. It was only a 3 night stay. Overall a good experience

Great location!

Spent 4th of July weekend here, the condo is just steps to the beach and the pool was nice for cooling off. You can walk to great restaurants and shopping from this location. The place was very clean, had ocean views and large balcony. Perfect for a couple or small family.

Steps from the ocean

Great ocean views from the oversized balcony. See the waves breaking from the living room. Open the sliders and expand the living room to the outside. Wonderful OC memories made!
