Shore Thing on Oyster Bay - Waterfront, Boat Dock!

Enjoy some of the island's best water views overlooking Oyster Bay from nearly every room of this custom beach home! Located on a bulk-headed waterfront lot in Richardson's Landing, you can fish and crab from the backyard! A wonderful feature of this spacious home is that you'll find your bedrooms on the first level and your main living area on the second level. The great room opens to the kitchen and features wood floors throughout. And the views are spectacular! Lots of windows!! Some of the bedrooms have waterside balconies. This home has four televisions- all with cable hooked up! You'll find all the bells and whistles here! So take a look at all the pictures and then give us a call or book online. Make memories to last a lifetime!

Perfect stay at this house - we loved every minute! The layout worked well for our family and the screened in treehouse was amazing, we used it every day. Rented kayaks (delivered to the house) and we were able to set off right from the canal next to the house. Within 10 minutes we could be in downtown Chincoteague, with 20 minutes the beaches of Assateague. Everything was clean, check in was easy and the kitchen was fully stocked with all our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic home in quiet neighborhood

We went for a girls’ getaway weekend to celebrate a friend Getting married. Beautiful home right on the water with friendly neighbors. Very clean. Check in process was super easy, and manager responded to all questions and requests promptly. Would definitely recommend, and hope to come back soon!

Great house on the water

House had a beautiful view! Nice quiet neighborhood. Upon arrival some of the deck material was in the middle of living room. Screens on deck were ripped in a few places. There was a storm recently. Workers arrived the next day to work on screens but only fixed one area. Kitchen had everything needed. I would book this house again for it’s beautiful view!

Off Season R&R

This large beautiful property was just what we were looking for. My brother and I and our spouses were looking for a quiet getaway near the water. Relaxing and spending time together at the house and the national seashore nearby made for a great vacation. Good restaurants on the island as well for when we didn't feel like cooking. Hoping to book this property again in the future!

This was our first year vacationing in Chincoteague and it did not disappoint. We absolutely loved staying at your beautiful vacation home. The kitchen had anything and everything you would need, the house was clean and the perfect set up for our family! The view wasn’t too bad either! We will be back!

Perfect location

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our fourth time to the island and second time at Shore Thing on Oyster Bsy. We love the location and lay out of the home. We pick this home even though their is only the two of us. We hope to make this an annual trip, however the upkeep on the home is slipping. We were greeted with a super smelly kitchen area, fish! Yuck! After opening every window overnight the smell was mostly gone. Why couldn’t housekeeping have addressed this? The carpet on the steps to upper living space is torn and dirty, too dirty to walk on without shoes. The ceiling fans are coated with heavy dust, beware when you turn them on. This house has so many positives that I hate to see it become less than the lovely home that it was. Tastefully decorated without clutter with high end furniture. Please take this as constructive criticism so we can return . I believe this residential area is the best on the island.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My girlfriends and I enjoy our stay at a Shore Thing. We now come for 2 weeks because after 1 week we didn't want to leave. Coffee on the treehouse porch watching the sun rise is my favorite part. The kitchen is very well equipped and we are very comfortable on all the furniture and beds. We love our vacation at a Shore Thing!

Okay stay, not as good as previous stay and not worth price

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Previously stayed at property in 2017. Our stay was not as good as in 2017. We booked the house from Sunday to Sunday. One of the reasons we rent the house is because of the screened in porch. There must be small holes in the screening of the porch because as the week went on we stopped sitting outside due to the mosquitos. Also, the people renting the house called Island Girl (which is three houses down and managed by Chincoteague Resort Realty) were loud all week making noise, playing music, and singing. I called Chincoteague Resort Realty to report this on Friday, as I was originally tempted to call the police and should have called the realty company earlier in the week to report this. The realty company listened to my concerns and the people at the Island Girl house were quiet the last night of their stay. Also, we found the house overly humid and clothing and towels took a long time to dry. In terms of cleaning, the floors in the house are very dirty as found when we went around barefoot in the house. Finally, the screen on the screen door was torn and should have been fixed prior to our arrival.

Fabulous Home Away From Home

The house was beautiful and was very well equipped for our stay. We absolutely loved the screened-in porch and the beautiful views. The house was very comfortable. I liked that there were 2 bedrooms with king beds. The location was in a nice peaceful residential area, about 2 miles from the bridge. We had great crabbing from the sea wall, and saw lots of birds nearby. Overall, it was a great place for our vacation!

Wonderful home and location

Great location off of the beaten path and quiet but close enough to easily get to local attractions. Very comfortable home, great view of the water (Oyster Bay), and the large screened-in porch is great for gatherings.
