This newly remodeled 1956 gem has been completely updated for the way we live today, yet honors the home's original Southern California vibe. The owners have preserved the gorgeous wood details, arched doorways, french doors and free flowing floor plan. Pool there is access from almost every room, blurring the lines between indoor outdoor living in true Palm Springs style.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
Beautifully landscaped and completely walled for privacy, the lovely garden setting features towering palm trees, citrus trees, lush grass, and a mature ficus hedge surround - showcasing the western Palm Springs mountain views. There is a sparkling saltwater pool surrounded by chaise lounges, conversation areas, a firepit lounge and plumbed gas BBQ. The outdoor covered dining pavilion is directly off the indoor dining room.

** The pool will be heated to 83 degrees upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival.

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
This upscale designer home is all about easy living and relaxing in the sunshine. Great for extended families. You get the Main House plus the attached Casita. Two full kitchens. Two living areas. And three Primary Suites.

The generous floor plan provides enough space for your entire group to spread out and enjoy. Professionally designed by the award winning team at H3K - the art and furnishings are fresh and stylish. This home is very comfortable...very livable. The type of home you can lay back, put your feet up and relax. Everything has been reimagined for the way we live today - new bathrooms, upgraded heating and cooling systems, high speed internet, 4 flatscreen TVs, gas fireplace - even foosball! The wonderful chef's kitchen is outfitted with granite counters, new cabinets, gas range and stainless appliances. The spacious dining area has both garden and mountain views and a built in nook to kick back before dinner.

** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS
All of the bedrooms feature comfortable hotel-quality mattresses and ample storage. There are three King Primary Suites - two in the Main House (one can be converted to 2 Twins upon request.)

THE LOCATION
This home is tucked away on a quiet residential street in the Tahquitz River Estates Neighborhood. Take a stroll to the South Palm Springs Business District and the world famous Palm Canyon Drive. Less than a mile to the Chabad. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, coffee shops, and bars. Fun spots such as the Ace Hotel, Moorten Botanical Garden, Mr. Lyons, Koffee, Townie Bagels and Kreem are all very close. This is the ideal location for those who want to be close to everything!

A decent place

The location is terrific and neighborhood quiet and relaxing. The property is overall decent: Plenty of space for larger groups, comfortable living room, updated kitchens and lots of outdoor seating. Could use a little TLC in some areas like bathrooms, bedding and A/C. A solid, dependable place if you don't need too much luxury.

Very relaxing!

We really enjoyed this property. It is immaculately clean, very well appointed, and a great location. We walked to the Bontanic Garden and to the South Lykken Trail head. Everything you need is in the house and the property management company is first class. Thank you!

WOW! Amazing House, Amazing Location

I don’t really know where to begin. I guess I will start off by saying that this house made our trip in Palm Springs. There were five of us vacationing in Palm Springs for a friend of ours 40th birthday. It fit five people remarkably. There was no shortage on bathrooms! And that’s always a huge plus when 5 girls are trying to get ready to go out at night. Each bedroom has its own en suite and then there’s another bathroom with a massive shower! The home is so clean, the beds were so comfortable, the Decor and the styling was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. It was so hard to get out of that pool! And don’t let the word “salt water” fool you, it isn’t salty and a huge bonus that we never smelled like chlorine! Acme house was on top of it when we had a little hiccup with our plumbing, and resolved the issue within 30 minutes of our call. The only reason to even mention that is to reassure anyone that if for some strange reason you need something, they are more than accommodating to help your stay remain comfortable. The location is incredible. It’s definitely walkable (if it’s not to hot) to the downtown strip, great distance for a nice bike ride, and a very in expensive Uber ride. The neighborhood is gorgeous every neighboring home is well manicured and taken care of and this home is no exception. We sat around the fire pit at night, cooked great meals and sat on the outdoor patio, curled up with good movies at night. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this house and the Acme House Company. We will definitely be back. We have a deal that every time we met here, we get to rotate who stays in the Casita! The birthday girl got it this year.

Great stay with a few drawbacks

Overall, we had a great time at this property. The inside of the house is spacious and well-appointed. The location was not walkable to downtown, but it was in a lovely neighborhood with a few restaurants within easy walking distance. We also rented bikes, and loved exploring the neighborhood. The house is older, and there was some disrepair, specifically in the outdoor pool area. There was a large, old stump right by the pool, and a good deal of decommissioned electrical equipment. The outside needs updating and maintenance (painting, etc). We spent most of our time in the pool and outside, and it was a surprise to have the outdoor space have these eyesores, especially given the cost of this rental. That said, the pool is large, beautiful and very clean. There were also pretty fruit trees in the yard and it was fun to pick a few grapefruits for breakfast. The air conditioning units were effective, but a little noisy. The rental company was very responsive to our one call, and checked up to make sure everything was going well.
