Comfort room. Shower not easy to access due to high bath. Not suitable for people who have difficulties in climbing the 45 stairs, to Unit 23A. Great views of the tennis court and pool area.

Great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and great views. However the 45 steps up and down to the unit was not very friendly, no lifts installed. The unit needed a spring clean. If you are also uncomfortable with getting into a bath/shower with high sides this unit is not going to suit your needs.

Location Fab close to pub beach and bowling clubPool looked nice and clean didn't use because weather too coolChecked us in early staff in Ray white very helpfulIt was the cleanliness of this apartment that let it down.It needs a really good clean, the floors were dirty, the rug was dirty the spare pillows need throwing or at least cover them so you can't see all the stains! We had cockroaches in the bathroom The kitchen area was poorly stocked and utensils need a good washSorry but we travel a lot and this was one of the dirtiest apartments we have stayed in

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Older style, you can hear the drone of people talking in the next door rooms. Some small maintenance items needed attending to others accomodation was satisfactory.

Nice little place for our short 2 night stay here. It had everything in it. Would recommend. Only downside is if you don’t like climbing stairs as there is quite a bit to climb due to the location being on the top 3rd floor.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Property was amazing and really loved the kitchen! Ray White who managed the property were amazing to deal with and went above and beyond for multiple of our requests including early check in and late check out. Would love to come back

Bijou apartment, perfect for us.

It was soon after ex TC Alfred and the island was in recovery. It was a very peaceful time. Don’t think I’ll ever see Straddie like that again. I feel very lucky.

More information

Renters need to know it is a three storey walk-up property. The unit is quite nice except for the window furnishings which are growing mould. There needs to be more information about what the unit has and hasn't got. Very good location!

Take your own bedding!

The apartment is good, the complex is good (pool area etc. clean and well maintained). However, the bed comes with a doona without a cover. The doona had blood stains on it. Pillows were lumpy and the spares in the smelly cupboard had no pillowcases and were very stained.

Ok property, but all a bit 'tired'. Only two coathangers. Spare pillow unusable due to no polliw cases. Cooker dirty. Nice views and friendly help from Chris when the power went off.

North Straddie

Property was nice, unfortunately there was only half a roll of toilet paper which wasn’t a nice surprise at 10pm first night. The water jug was broken which was full of glass inside the bottle, it looked like ice but under further inspection it was glass 😳 my wife almost drank some!!! I would definitely stay there again, it was just a few little things that could happen at any apartment.

Great location

Had to defrost fridge on arrival as it could not be closed - the freezer compartment ice was so thick. Some pillow cases stained. Outside furniture set is a potential hazard - rusted and flimsy. Clothes horse on balcony broken. One bedside light needs new bulb. Aircon needs a clean - very dusty with musty smell, not usable.

Dated furnishings

We did enjoy our stay on Straddle. Looks like The Islander apartment 23a has had some modernisation. However a trip to Kmart or an online order to purchase some items would be recommended. Things I would buy would firstly be new pillows. There is a new washing machine there, but no usable clothes airer. No hair dryer. Purchase new coffee cups (one chipped) Only one drinking glass. No tea towel. These are inexpensive items that would certainly improve the rental stay.

June Week Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment was not cleaned to an acceptable standard (or in a condition anywhere near the photo on ). I have operated similar short term accommodation sites and understand what level of cleaniness is required (curtains were moldy, bathroom window very soiled and living room floor rug needs to be replaced). Very basic amenities and upgrade to outside furniture and screens on doors is needed. 1 roll of toilet paper provided for a 6 day stay / dishwasher not cleared / items left in washing machine. very poor attention to detail for our arrival.
