Villanor Cottage - un charmant chalet avec une vue magnifique sur la mer

Découvrez le magnifique lever du soleil sur la mer en ouvrant la porte de votre charmant chalet et en montant sur votre terrasse. Niché dans un jardin arboré avec de nombreux palmiers, le chalet et la piscine offrent le cadre idéal pour profiter du calme et de la tranquillité de cette plus belle île. À seulement 20 minutes en voiture, vous atteindrez la côte sud et les nombreuses plages, restaurants et activités que vous pourriez souhaiter avant de rentrer chez vous dans votre chalet pour vous prélasser dans la piscine ou sur votre transat.

Le chalet est situé dans les jardins de la maison principale. Il est spacieux et comprend une chambre avec un lit queen-size, une salle de bains, une cuisine et un salon. Il y a aussi un patio orienté à l'est de la chambre avec vue sur le lever du soleil. S'il vous plaît noter que le AC dans la maison est déconnecté donc pas disponible pour utilisation. Il y a de belles brises la plupart du temps et des ventilateurs de plafond dans chaque chambre. Le chalet est également complètement alarmé.

Les clients ont un accès complet et exclusif à la piscine et à la terrasse de la piscine et disposent d'un patio privé donnant sur l'océan Atlantique avec table et chaises s'ils choisissent de dîner en plein air.

A Great Three Weeks

The property is excellent for a couple. Everything you need is available and the location and views are perfect. Wynette and Doug are fantastic hosts. Everything was explained in person by Wynette but the communication prior to our arrival was also wonderful. During our stay they were also always available for us and when we met up they were great company. Just a really enjoyable holiday.

Great views

Really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive to all our enquiries. My husband fell ill so we weren’t able to make the most of the first few days and explore as much of the surrounding beaches as we had planned but the last few days made up for the missed time. The views from the ocean facing patio were lovely and we really enjoyed having breakfast there.

Wonderful Christmas in the sun

The bungalow was extremely comfortable; a perfect base for our holiday. In a very peaceful part of the island where a rental car gave us easy access to dozens of beaches and attractions. Doug and Wynette are amazing, not only for making us a Christmas lunch but for their kindness and generosity too.Wynette had decorated the bungalow for Christmas, even adding her own home made soaps and they were always available for help and assistance if needed. If we come back to the island this is where we’d stay.

Amazing Holiday Spot

The Villa is absolutely amazing, every thing you need for your stay is available to you. I have thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful pool and gardens, yes there is the odd plane overhead but nothing to invasive. The hosts Doug and Wynette are lovely lovely people, extremely welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay fantastic. I will definitely return to this beautiful villa, it has been one of, if not the best holidays I have experienced in Barbados. Thanks again to our hosts for letting us experience their holiday oasis.

Haven or Heaven: You decide

Villanor Cottage has all of the amenities necessary for our perfect month long Barbados holiday! Private and cozy with a fabulous view of the Atlantic Ocean, yet only 15 minutes to Oistens and the Fish Market, or 20 minutes from St Lawrence Gap. Douglas and Wynette are marvelous hosts, willing to go to extremes for their guests. Thank you again for the Grill. Whether having breakfast watching the ocean, sunning by the pool, or dinner under the evening sky, relaxation is the only constant at Villanor.

Kevin and Jackie were the perfect guests who felt more like visiting friends. We really enjoyed their company and the many tips they gave us - a new beer for Doug to try with the brewery delivering to Villanor, markets we had never heard of and even Jackie's favourite spices. A Five Star experience ....

We have just enjoyed a wonderful week's stay at this gem of a property on the Barbados south coast. The cottage offers everything - uninterrupted sea views from the back terrace and a lovely pool and tropical garden at the front. It is very well equipped, comfortable and clean. Even though we went in the low (rainy) season, the weather was wonderful, with occasional showers just serving to freshen things up. Barbados itself is great : the white sand beaches and crystal clear waters are really stunning ;but best of all are the people - warm, kind and welcoming. Wynette and Douglas are the perfect hosts and we look forward to returning to the cottage soon.

A gem

Villamor is a gem of a find. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. It is very comfortable, both inside and out. The garden and the Swimming pool are delightful. We often returned early because the cottage was our oasis. There are no tourists nearby and you feel very much a part of the real Barbados. You need a car but the Drivers are very considerate and kind on the East Coast. Miami Beach is about 20 minutes away and the East Coast beaches are also easily accessible. Wynette and Doug are always around if you need advice but also are very considerate if you want to be private. Their help with our final leaving day made our journey home much easier. We’ll definitely be looking to return in the future.

Perfection in Paradise

Everything in all the other lovely reviews is true. We believe we have found the perfect place to escape from a cold eastern Canada winter. The sound of the ocean, and the wind in the palm trees are the only night noises, with the occasional doves cooing in the day-- there aren't even any roosters in this quiet residential area. We loved the back patio, looking over a wall across the open field to the ocean, for completely private sunbathing on the lounge chairs in the mornings. The gas grill tucked into a covered sheltered end of this area was perfect for cooking several of our dinners. When you are feeling like cooling down, the pool in the beautiful front courtyard is again a sheltered place between the hosts' main house and the cottage. Many days we were feeling like just being lazy and spending the day around the pool. There are enough shade sources that we could always choose between sunbathing or reading our books in the shade. And if you didn't bring enough books with you, there is a good shelf of books in the cottage. There are many choices for beaches, and also for shopping for supplies. It took us a while to discover the World of Wine at the Six Roads commercial center, as well as the nearby FourSquare rum distillery for an interesting visit. We found all the locals very friendly, and drivers too, but watch out for sudden stops by the taxivans. And if you are driving into the oceanfront tourist areas towards Bridgetown, don't try to be in a hurry as it is going to be slow going. And now for a word about our hosts Wynette and Doug, who are the nicest people, completely available and helpful if you needed anything, and otherwise very discreet and respectful of your privacy. And also very important, is that we weren't bothered at all by mosquitoes!

Fantastic location/stay and view

Fantastic view, fantastic cottage and perfect. Just a nice time and lovely hosts. Really recommended. Perfect for a couple. Great location with fabulous views. Pool was a great place to relax. Hosts are lovely, very welcoming and will assist with any queries you may have. Cottage is a perfect location for a couple looking for a carribean getaway! Would highly recommend and will hopefully be returning soon!!

Christmas in Paradise!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Villanor Cottage. It was peaceful, quiet and everything I wanted my stay and accommodation to be. The property, gardens and pool are beautifully kept and I felt very comfortable there. It's a lovely safe and quiet neighbourhood. I have highly recommended it to family who want to stay here. We are from the UK and spend roughly half the year in Barbados where we are fortunate enough to be able to own a second home.

We love the stunning wraparound ocean view, the beautiful sunrises and the constant cool breezes coming off the Atlantic. Our garden is delightful and well maintained with mature tropical plants. There is easy access to the rest of the island and lovely coastal walks. It is a very safe and quiet residential neighbourhood. Our guests always remark on how peaceful, quiet and relaxing it is.
