Completed Aug. 2017...Leroy’s farmhouse sits between 10 other guest houses, on historic Mound City Planting Company. Pastoral shady setting among huge trees on the closest farm to Downtown Memphis. The wrap-around porch is awesome. Cool, comfortable and quiet, on a gated private road, 7 minutes from Memphis. Our 500 acre farm is a paradise for dog owners wanting plenty of space to enjoy off leash.

Very cute, just outside of Memphis!

The owners are so great, the house was clean, high quality bed linens, well stocked, well maintained. The only negative was hard to find at first, but once you find it, that is so much easier after that. We went to the wrong place first due to a GPS error. Would stay here again.

Elvis week

We enjoyed our stay. We had no communication with property manager - did leave a note about running toilet and wasp nest. There were no check out instructions so put towels in washer and left sheets on the beds. We enjoyed the town of Marion after spending the day in Memphis. The location was great and loved the quietness.. Never did see any of the other renters. I would recommend more than one TV and a flyswatter!

The early morning and evening atmosphere in a farm community will always be my best experience and this place was simply awesome. The host has clear instructions when we booked and those eased us in navigating to this place. The house itself was simple, clean, and comfortable. The location was beautiful.

Perfectly charming location!

Perfect location for multi-families to stay. The farmhouse was very clean and great amenities, even provided fresh eggs , juice and milk. Very easy to find and check-in was the easiest we have experienced. Great farm to walk around and explore. Definitely recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again.

Clean and Comfortable

We got in late, the lights were on for us and the key was easy to access due to Emily's good communication...The house was very clean and although it was a bit chilly, two space heaters were left on for us that were easy to move from the bedrooms to the bathroom, living room, or wherever we wanted them. The mattress and furniture were comfortable, and everything we needed was easy to find. We did laundry during our stay and accidentally mixed a white hand towel from the house in with our jeans and caused it to change color slightly, and Emily was understanding and friendly about it which was a relief. We personally try not to stay in the same place twice, since there are so many places to explore and experience, though if we did, we would definitely stay here again! It felt safe, and under different circumstances, we would've enjoyed the grounds and common areas even more. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for great lodging in the area!

Pure charm!

We recently traveled through the area on our way to the gulf coast. I can’t say enough about the charm of this little cottage! Not only were the beds comfortable and everything was pristine in terms of cleanliness, but the added touches of little soaps and most especially the fresh eggs and other yummies left for us in the fridge, were like a little treasure! We would definitely love to return!

Great Getaway

We absolutely enjoyed this property. It was quiet yet only 10 min from downtown Memphis. It was also a short trip to Graceland. The house was clean and cozy and very pet friendly! We would definitely stay again !

We planned an extended weekend in the Memphis area. This was an ideal location and the quiet country setting was a bonus! The house was very clean and well stocked. Will definitely keep this in mind for our next trip to the Memphis area!!

Nostalgia + Comfort

I grew up on farms, our stay at Leroy's House brought back all the feel goods from a blessed childhood! From the breakfast in the fridge waiting for us to the comfortable beds at the end of the day, it couldn't have been any better! Super clean and plenty of supplies including kitchen, bathroom and bedding. The location is phenomenal! Wide open spaces, beautiful views, leisurely walks, buildings and history to explore, this place has it all. Kids and dogs will love you for staying here with so much room to roam! Check in was super easy since it was just like arriving home! No paperwork, no check in time limit, no building to go to first, just drive up and you're home! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Our kids loved staying at the farm and getting away from the city life. Even though you are close to the city it felt like you were living in the country. The home was clean and the fresh eggs and English muffins were a nice surprise. We definitely will be back!

Wonderful country home 10 min from Memphis!

Emily and Charlie are fantastic and responsive hosts. The property was exactly as described. Everyone who rented Emily and Charlie's other nearby properties was friendly and polite. I was working in Memphis while I stayed here and was able to zip back to the house at lunch which shows how close you are to downtown Memphis. And at night, it was a truly relaxing place to be. I had several visitors during my stay and everyone commented on how nicely decorated and maintained the property was. I would definitely try to stay there again if I returned to Memphis!
