Attractive Mountain home in Rodes Valley Nellysford,Va. Just minutes away from Vineyards, brewery's, hiking and skiing. Access to Wintergreen pool, tennis court, Lake Monocan and Stony Creek golf course.
Fully stocked open kitchen, dining room, 3 spacious bedrooms with queen sized mattresses. Master bedroom has deck with a beautiful view! 2 bathrooms, large screened in porch. Fire place and cozy sofas. Great views and very private.

Very close to UVA. Book early for parents weekend, football and graduation.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Grill should be pulled away from the house when in use.

Great, very comfy, cozy house. The host was super responsive and helpful. The home is older, but nothing that isn’t shown exactly in the pictures…but I would also say that added to the charm. The living room furniture was so comfy (and clean) and the beds were amazing. We loved the real fire place and the kitchen was EXTREMELY well stocked with anything you would need. We all slept great and enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Cozy property, great location

Great wooded lot, convenient to Stony Creek, Wintergreen, and lots of good breweries/ciderys!. House has good beds and two full good bathrooms, and appreciate the stock of things left in the kitchen!

Great Family Getaway

The house and location fit our needs perfectly. The kids (20 something’s) went snowboarding and my husband & I went to wineries. Location had something for everyone. Plus being able to cook a family dinner & be together was priceless!

Relaxing getaway in a great location!

This place worked perfectly for a friend meetup near Wintergeen! Near Bold Rock cidery and three notch'd brewery, and we stopped at Bear Creamery for an ice cream flight! Laurie responds quickly, we found the house just as described. Comfortable and very clean, in a nice residential neighborhood. We appreciated the screened in porch and the A/C during the day. Highly recommend this getaway!

Great retreat, well stocked!

Loved the big family room and the screened porch. House was very well stocked, Appreciate the pet-friendliness, took our dogs on great walks and made friends with the horses in the nearby field.

Perfect mountain getaway

This was a perfect place for our family of 4 with adult children and 2 Chihuahuas. Everyone had the space they needed and the dogs loved walking and exploring. The screened porch was awesome because we could gather outside with other area family without worrying about spreading the virus. We would love to stay again when we come back to visit.

Great property, perfect location, responsive home owner!

This house is perfectly located in Nellysford - so close to many breweries/Bold Rock/stores, yet in the woods and just a peaceful location. Short 20 min drive up to the mountain resort. You can tell the house is loved by its owner and it is cozy and personal. Love the back porch (screened in).

Great first visit to Wintergreen

This house was perfect for our family and dog. Lots of room to roam outside, even a pretty meadow out back :) It was located very close to some fantastic activities, our favorites were Paul's Creek Trail and Lake Monocan. Well stocked kitchen, and though appliances are older, they work just fine. We had great communication with the owner and I would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect stay!

This home is absolutely perfect. The listing pictures don’t do it justice. Very spacious home with everything you possibly need. Great location tucked away for privacy but close to all the wineries and breweries. We will definitely be back. Our pup loved it as well along with running around the property since it was far enough from the road.

Perfect Nelson County Home

We loved this house and the location. This home is tucked away in Stoney Creek at Wintergreen with a beautiful backyard view and easy access to 151 and Nellysford. We practically lived in the large screened in porch during our 5 day stay! The open dining room and living room area was welcoming and comfortable too. The home is well-stocked and the owner quickly replied to all questioms I had before check-in. We will definitely be returning to this perfect Nelson County home-away-from-home!!

The area is beautiful

The home is super cozy and well kept. Because of the rooms not getting any air, we opened the windows and there were mounds of dead bugs. Looked as if they had not been cleaned out in years. Other than that, the area is beautiful! The homeowner made access to the home easy and it was a great stay!

Another great stay

This is probably the 6th or 7th time we've stayed here (have grandparents nearby), maybe more! Laurie is a wonderful host, and makes everything super easy. The house is in a great location near many wineries, restaurants and attractions. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, with horses and deer all around. The house is plenty spacious for a family of 4 like ours, and it's perfect for kids. We love the large screened back porch overlooking a pasture. If you want state-of-the-art appliances and brand new renovations, this home is probably not for you- but if you want comfortable and well-appointed with everything you need, I'd highly recommend!

Peacefully Beautiful!

My husband, daughter, and her husband stayed at Laurie's house for Christmas. This was the first time we ever went away for Christmas, but our stay was wonderful. The owner, Laurie, went out of her way to make her house ready for Christmas by decorating a Christmas tree with lights, holiday candles throughout the house, and having cute holiday decorations placed throughout the entire house. The log burning fireplace was ready with wood and we had a burning fire the entire stay. The house was well stocked with sheets, towels, spices, cooking supplies, and items in the refrigerator. The owner was exceptional in answering our emails in a time manner, and the check-in process was so easy! Laurie is a perfect host and we hope to make her house a holiday tradition!

Good property in need of some love

Overall, the stay was good. We had a weekend celebration in the area for a wedding. The home needs a thorough clean - cobwebs and dust readily visible. Also concerned the dishwasher is not working well as cups had lipstick on them so we washed dishes before using them. The home seems to be needing a good overall maintenance check. The owners were extremely responsive and friendly. There was no advice (we might have missed it) to sort trash before taking the trash out (bins were quite a few miles away from the home). Overall, the home was fine for what we needed for the weekend in an area with limited options.

Why they chose this property

I love horses and nature. This area is wonderful for riding. There are places that offer trail riding or vineyard riding tours. King Vineyard has polo matches on Sunday's.

What makes this property unique

Swimming or boating at Lake Monacan, use of the Stony Creek pool and tennis courts, golf and skiing on Wintergeen mountain are all benefits of this home. The house is roomy but very cozy, the nature views are wonderful. The deer are in the yard mornings and evenings.
