This 1BR casita is perfect for two people to enjoy life at Vistas del Lago, the best gated and guarded community on Lake Arenal. Located just 5km east of Tronadora with spectacular views, Vistas del Lago is a vibrant community of expats, some full-time. Your stay at Vistas #14 includes full use of the clubhouse including exercise room, spa, media room and outdoor pool.

This is no ordinary vacation rental, this is our custom home loaded with high end finishes, a spa-like bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Managed by Beverly Sheatz, Co-Developer and a resident of Vistas del Lago. Bev has years of experience helping guests feel at home and cared for.

Relax and watch the weather roll across the Lake from the covered patio or, if rain comes along, you can retreat to the covered arbor area on the leeward side of the home.

The bathroom is luxuriously appointed with two sinks and a walk in shower that will make you feel like you’re at an expensive spa hotel. There you will find a dresser that provides a safe for your laptop and other valuables. There is space above for hanging your clothes and storage space underneath for suitcases.

The kitchen is well equipped and includes a convection microwave and blender as well as a coffee maker and toaster.

In the bedroom you will each find a hook on the wall for clothing and a dimmable wall-mounted reading lamp. There is a clothes washer and dryer for you to use as well as a hair dryer. For your convenience and entertainment, there is wi-fi internet and satellite TV with several English speaking channels. A new weather station gathers information and reports it on a display inside if you like that sort of thing.

At this casita, you will enjoy the beauty and privacy of your TWO covered outdoor seating areas surrounded by professionally designed tropical landscaping.

Two sets of locking French doors lead to a covered private garden area. One set is screened, the other has glass panes. You might want to keep the sliding French glass doors open most of the time to hear the sounds of birds and howler monkeys. The breeze almost never enters there. By opening one of the sliding vent windows in the bedroom there is often enough cross-breeze for the living area and there are two ultra-quiet ceiling fans for your comfort.

You will love the temperate climate here. Air conditioning is available but you will probably never need it. Low temperatures are usually 68-72 degrees with highs around 80-85. Humidity is much lower than at the beach; usually between 50 and 70 percent.

The onsite management at Vistas del Lago will help you during your stay. They can arrange for your massage, or guide you to the clubhouse pool and exercise room. They can also help you with information on some of the many outdoor activities in the area.

This location is great for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the Lake region. Your nearest grocery and meat market are in Tronadora and you will find a wide range of services and restaurants there, and in Tilaran, as well as dispersed along the Lake road on your way to Nuevo Arenal. Take a day trip to Monteverde, or to La Fortuna for a variety of outdoor activities including zip lining, horseback riding and ATV rentals as well as a variety of hot springs resorts.

Guest access

When you check in at the clubhouse office you will be given a code for entering the casita and a remote control for the automatic gate to the community.

You will have access to the clubhouse during normal business hours. The outdoor swimming pool is available anytime. Use the exercise room, schedule a massage or facial in the spa, enjoy the bar & restaurant or watch a movie in the media room. For your convenience, there are receptacles for trash and recycling next to the guard house.
