The Piot House está frente al océano, en un vecindario privado, con vista al Océano Pacífico, y millas de playa de arena, en Seal Rock. Acentos de madera rústicos cálidos son iluminados por las paredes de las ventanas a lo largo de todo el lado oeste de la casa. Entonces, su primer paso hacia el hogar ... ¡visualmente lo lleva 'de regreso' a las increíbles vistas del océano y Seal Rock! Este es un hogar cómodo y acogedor lejos del hogar. Muy privado; ¡Una vez que entras en el camino, no ves nada sino el océano! La cocina y el comedor son excelentes para entretenerse, y la sala de estar es un pequeño paso hacia abajo desde el resto de la casa, tiene una estufa de leña y tiene un deslizador hacia una gran cubierta cubierta, ¡lo cual puede ser excelente cuando hay clima aquí! El dormitorio principal es bastante grande y tiene una maravillosa bañera en el baño. El dormitorio de invitados se encuentra en el lado opuesto de la casa, al lado del baño de invitados para mayor privacidad. Maravilloso para dos parejas, familia, vacaciones románticas! El hogar tiene la llave de las escaleras privadas a la playa a lo largo de la propiedad. ¡Algunos de nuestros huéspedes habituales han estado regresando aquí por más de 16 años! ¡Definitivamente es un favorito!

Amazing location! Loved the access to the beach, which was almost like a private beach with hardly any other people around (mid-July). Able to see some amazing rocky coastal areas while walking north on the beach. Incredible beach views from the living room/kitchen. Clean and well-stocked house with all the kitchen and bath supplies that you would need. Master suite has private bath, while second bedroom has access to their own bath. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Open, spacious, wall of windows and beach access. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Quiet. View of ocean and beach is spectacular.

Cozy home with great views

This home was perfect for a couple. An efficient heating system kept the house warm and cozy while the weather was stormy. We spent a lot of time relaxing and looking at the ocean. The beach was easy to get down to and was a beautiful walk. Our host was quick to respond to questions during booking and check in was seamless. We would definitely return.

Million dollar view - but obstructed

The property is right on the beach and a short staircase leads you down to the water, no more than a 3 minute walk. The sunset views over the ocean from out of the living room windows were outstanding. Newport is about a 15 minute drive away and Waldport is only 5 minutes away. Although it is a million dollar view and the access to the beach is quick and easy, there are several shortcomings. The property is old and has not been updated. It is owned by a business that likely rents it nearly every night for the views alone, and they have let the maintenance lapse. The master bedroom walls are scratched and badly in need of paint, some of the furniture is old and dirty (we used towels on a couple of fabric chairs because they were so bad), some of the drawers in the kitchen (particularly the silverware drawer) don't function correctly. Perhaps the biggest oversight however is that the view of the ocean and beach are obstructed by overgrown hedges and plants in the backyard. 30 minutes of trimming would improve the view significantly and take it to the next level. It was frustrating to not be able to see the beach and much of the ocean without having to stand up to view it, both from inside and out on the deck. Overall, a nice place and a relaxing stay, but too many issues for the amount paid. We won't be back.

Lovely Oregon beach time

The house is roomy, more cozy than fancy, but the star is of course the accessible, uncrowded beach, with walks in either direction, and plenty of time to watch from the deck, or inside the large windows. If you like the Oregon coast, you can get plenty of it here.

Disappointing

I don't usually write negative reviews, but this property was disappointing for the amount of money we spent. The neighborhood was really quiet, we seemed to be the only renters in the neighborhood for the 5 days we were there. The check-in process was easy, and the house had been cleaned right before we arrived. 1). The house is still in the 60's and really outdated. Linoleum in second bath needs to be updated and the heat registers are rusted all over the top. 2). Living room furniture is very uncomfortable, the "new" couch included. 3). As others have said the cookware is awful; first morning we went out and bought a frying pan and a griddle just so we could make breakfast. 4). Beware when pulling out the silverware drawer, because it sticks and will fall on the floor if you're not careful. 5). The railings in the house are totally wobbly and dangerous. 6). The screen door out to the deck is really sticky and comes off the rails all the time. 7). The deck is not at all safe for children, it has no railing whatsoever. 8). If you are sitting in a chair on the deck, you cannot see the ocean out in front of you. All of the bushes need to be cut back at least 3 ft. 9). The path down to the beach is fairly easy, but needs to be trimmed back also. The hardwood floors are nice but in desperate need of being refinished. They do have a hidden closet that is well stocked with games, and the Wi-Fi was great, as was the cable TV. Needs major updates.

Amazing location!

This house had the best view. It was clean. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The house could use more comfortable furniture, and some new cookware.

We love Piot House

This is one of our favorite places to stay. They could use a couple of extra blankets for the beds as it was cold and another blanket for our son would have been great. Sadly, it will be out last time here as we will be getting a puppy and Piot House doesn't allow pets. If it did, we would never go anywhere else!

Piot House in Seal Rock

This is a very nice one-level house with big windows on the ocean and direct access to the beach. It has open common space and is quite adequate for 2 couples or a family with children. It's comfortable and pleasant. Only 2 drawbacks, one not related to the house: the water for all of Seal Rock comes from a watershed that is heavily logged and sprayed with toxins (typically glyphosate and other chemicals). We brought our own water and used it for cooking, drinking, and brushing our teeth. For this reason only, we will probably not go to Seal Rock again. Second, the pots and pans are old teflon covered cookware, much of it scraped away. I will never cook in teflon, so we went to Wal Mart and bought a stainless small pot for our morning oatmeal, which we left for the house. We hope it serves future guests.

Needs some work

Location was good and the view was ok if you could see over the bushes which a few of the chairs provided. The home needs updating. Beds are old, railings are wobbly as is the bench in kitchen. When Washington g clothes no hot water for shower. Range and DW were at least 20 years old. When we got there stuff was in dryer and old soaps left in shower. I mention this as there is a long list of check out items for you to complete that the cleaning crew should take care of. We also received a text letting asking us if we might be leaving early? I hitch made us feel rushed to go. Nice view, but we won’t be back. For nearly $1200 after all the fees, for just two nights I was expecting more

Wonderful house. Wonderful location.

The property was extremely clean, nicely appointed and beautifully located. The view to the ocean was very nice. The beach itself is not entirely sand. There are bit of shells about. When we were there, a portion of the beach was roped off by state fish and wildlife folks--apparently to protect a nesting area for Snowy Plovers. The stairway to the beach was solidly constructed and quite convenient. There are about 25 or so steps. The house is only about 3 minutes from Seal Rock where there are amazing tide pools and, during the summer, knowledgeable volunteers to help you find sea stars, anemones, etc. All in all, a wonderful place I hope to return to.

Best to be kept secret

We found Piot house about 5 years ago, after staying elsewhere for 13 years. We come twice a year from Bend, Or. to enjoy the coast. Really...it would be very hard to find another place that would be as private/secluded, spacious, on the beach with easy access to it. One could try to better this....good luck! Tom
