Great Rental

Fantastic location. Close to South Lake Tahoe, but away from the busy areas. Very close to restaurants and shopping. Cute, clean cabin/home with amazing views of surrounding moutains. Easy access to hiking and great mountain biking steps away from the home. Clean and well maintained. Would definitely book this cabin again!

Our family loved this house. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked (best pots/pans we’ve had in a VRBO), and the views were great. We hiked the trail behind the neighborhood up the ridge to the Angora lookout, which had spectacular views. I later looked up the history and found that the whole neighborhood including the ridge slope had burned in a forest fire in 2007. That’s why all the houses are relatively new and some lots are still empty. That doesn’t take anything away from the beauty of the house, the views, or the neighborhood — it’s all beautiful now, it’s just an interesting side point. It’s only a 5 minute drive to town, and my kids (adults) hiked into town on the trails near the road a couple days and we picked them up on our way for lunch. It’s really a relaxing place to stay. We grilled steaks one night on the patio and it was amazing — the sunset on the clouds while grilling was very memorable. One of my favorite things to do was chill out on a couch in the afternoon with the windows open feeling the breeze blowing in while listening to the aspen trees rustling.

Great Place in South Lake Tahoe

We really enjoyed our stay here. This is a beautiful mountain view home in South Lake Tahoe. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood just about 10 minutes out of downtown South Lake Tahoe and about 15 minutes away from Stateline. Close enough to everything but also far enough away from all the noise and crowds downtown. The house itself is very nice, clean, and updated. Just has a cozy/at home feel to it. Love the multiple windows to look out over the patio toward the mountains. We enjoyed sitting on the patio as well. Communication with the property owner was good as well. We will definitely be back someday!

Excellent property

Great location. Beautifully updated. Warm and comfortable. Great views. The only issue was the smoke detector low battery warning in the lower floor queen bedroom beeped kept going off in the middle of the night.

Very nice!

We needed a house in or near South Lake Tahoe. This was in an area I had not visited before. Mountain View Estates is near many lovely locations and an abundance of outdoor activities. It was very well equipped and we don’t have one negative thing to say about the property.

Excellent Tahoe Getaway!

Looking for a comfortable house for my husband and myself, as well as my out of town parents for their first time in Tahoe, and we couldn’t have been happier. The house was comfortable and easily accessible to South Lake Tahoe. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the view from the deck is breathtaking!

Amazing Views, Peaceful Getaway

I was sold on the views - and was not disappointed! This property was easy to find, excellent communication with property manager. Very clean, comfortable and so quiet! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook in. And didn't take long at all to reach the heart of South Lake Tahoe. We skied at NorthStar and Heavenly and really enjoyed our mini winter getaway! The most disappointing thing was - the snow is melting too fast :( Would definitely recommend this home - would love to come back in the summer for some hiking!!

Our warm he base during our chilly winter vacation

The property was as described in terms of features, check in and out was a snap. The views were terrific especially while sipping some hot coffee near the gas stove. The owner was terrific to deal with, and gave us tips on local ski rentals and areas to explore. Loved our ri.w there, and we'll be back next time on the west coast.

Lovely house!

We REALLY enjoyed our time here in this house! It was so well done and comfortable and had everything you needed (especially in the kitchen)! It was such a pleasure and thank you so much to the owners for their attention to detail and hospitality :) The location was good too, not too far from everything and a short drive away! Can’t say how much this really made our Tahoe stay just wonderful!

This beautiful home it's a perfect place to enjoy the Tahoe area. Located close enough to the main areas of Tahoe if you're interested but also surrounded by many trails close by. The view is amazing, great neighborhood, quiet with lots of privacy. Furnished very comfortable yet provides a certain amount of mountain elegance. Beds are comfy, Lux linens a plus. Full kitchen, super clean upon arrival. Great Host Rick went above and beyond to recommend a specific trails in areas for me. Much appreciated!

Family Vacation

Captivated by the pictures of the property. View was magnificent. Property is very well equipped. Owners instruction manual in home was very detailed, and we really appreciate the effort he put into it. He also lists his local favorite restaurants which is tremendously helpful. It was a great find.

Beautiful home in South Lake Tahoe!

We have been coming to SLT for over 15 years and found this gem of a place off the beaten path but close to Heavenly village, Emerald Bay and all the beaches and shopping in between! The rooms fit our family of six perfectly and the kitchen was very clean and helped with our breakfasts and for the nights we cooked in. (The BBQ on the deck with a view, helped in cooking up our fillets!). Communication with property group was great and we were in contact with the owner with very responsive support and suggestions for our stay! (in all our years we never visited the Angora look out & lakes - very cool!). We were able to get in a few hikes with some geocaching along the trails behind the house to work off the dinners! We opened the windows in the evening to cool the house off and closed everything up before we left for the day which kept the home pretty cool and comfortable. Stay and support was top notch A+ Thank you!
