Spring break 2025

Absolutely perfect week. The house was bright and sunny with lots of windows. The kitchen and family space were perfect for movie and game nights. The walk to the beach was short and there was little traffic since it is a dead end street. Love this house! Will definitely be back!

Beautiful house

We enjoyed our stay at Halcyon Daze on Oak Island. My daughter , her husband and two young children went with me. The house was perfect for our needs and just a short walk to the beach.

Retreat on Oak Island

This property is exactly as advertised. It was very clean and well-appointed. My two girlfriends and I stayed there and it was perfect for the 3 of us. It's very close to the beach so it was fun to walk there whenever we wanted. I would highly recommend this house.

Great house and location

The house was exactly as described. Fit our needs perfectly and well laid out. The laundry left by the housekeeper on the porch sat for a couple of days but the minute I notified the property manager it was removed. One word of caution, read the check in instruction email thoroughly, the checklist of items to bring with you in particular, as there is NO stock.

Lovely home with a great location

Everything about Halcyon Daze was fine except for the stairs. Truly. The house is lovely with good functional spaces and everything you need to cook great dinners or lunches is at hand. It was also ver clean. Do note that the management company leaves nothing. Not even salt so be prepared to bring all food and paper supplies. Actually really check with management company because the house is truly without small amenities. They do give you a small bag with a roll of toilet paper, a tiny bar of soap and some toothpaste. Guess we are just used to a few things being in the house when we arrive. That is not a complaint about the house. Now, the stairs. The first floor is a long way up and the steps are very, very steep and seemed narrow to us. So also be prepared to climb. Location is great. Short walk to the beach (which is also great) and the East side of the island has many amenities including two grocery stores and good restaurants.

Perfect retreat.

What a wonderful vacation home. Beautifully decorated and we had a chef with us who was delighted with how well the kitchen was equipped. The only down side we experienced had nothing to do with the home. We had two 70+ Guests and there were many steps to climb. I would not rent this home in the future due to that alone. We had to escort our seniors up and down the stairs each time we went somewhere. An elevator would have made this a dream vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Oak Island! The house was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well designed. The rooms were spacious yet cozy. We enjoyed three porch options and a very short walk to the beach! The location was perfect! Great house!

Halcyon Daze was a wonderful house to for our family celebration of my son’s wedding in Southport. We loved the open floor plan and ability to access the decks and porches from the living areas- great flow.

Beautiful home. Decorated very well. A very short walk to the beach. If the house a couple of doors down were to cut some limbs from their trees, the house would have a great ocean view from the deck.

This was my first time staying at this property. Everything was new and as advertised. Very nice and clean house with easy access to the beach. I have stayed at multiple homes in OKI this was very well kept a great experience for our family.

We loved this quiet street + house! It was the perfect location & wasn’t overly crowded. We would definitely return to this house - it checked all the boxes- comfy beds, clean, new, did I say CLEAN!

Lovely!

Loved staying here! Beautiful, comfortable, and clean house close to beach. Short walk to the beach, bike rides to local ice cream and shops, and quiet neighborhood make this a great location. House has everything you need and attention is given to making it feel like home. Beds are super comfortable and plenty of space in and outside. (Screened in porch AND deck were nice.) Perfect for our family and would definitely come back. Lovely home in beautiful Oak Island!

Great stay!

House was wonderful with easy access to the ocean. Street felt very private. New house with great appliances and furnishings. Only negative was previous renter was still there after 12pm although check out was 10am. House was not ready for check-in until AFTER 5pm so we had to hang out in the car for over two hours so we could keep our groceries cold. Check-in from 3-5 does not mean your house will be ready at 3. It just means they start at 3 and close at 5 so keys will be available at their Dropbox after 5 if your house isn’t ready. Coastal Vacation Resorts was very unsympathetic. Lesson learned.

Family Getaway!

What a gorgeous home a short walk from the beach. Our family had a wonderful time! The home is beautifully appointed with high end finishes. It was like living in a brand new home! The kitchen was stocked nicely with all the appliances and cookware we needed. Lots of books and games provided a homey touch. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for providing a peaceful place for a relaxing family getaway!

Great House, Great Week!

House is exactly as described and the location is great! It’s close to the beach you can easily walk. There are several restaurants and grocery stores in a short drive. The kitchen is well supplied with anything you would need. We loved it and plan to come back soon!

Beautiful place!

Halcyon Daze is a beautiful home on one level - tastefully decorated and well laid out. It was perfect for us! Once we figured out how to work the door locks (had to call maintenance who were extremely courteous and helpful) and the TV, we were set for the week. Close to the ocean and to some good restaurants. We'll be back! Thank you!
