This home was very dated and is in need of some updating and repairs but gets the job done. It’s a first tier home, right on the water, it is just set back a bit further from the dunes than the two neighbors. It has a private sand path, along the neighbor’s pool, right to the beach, which was very convenient. The kitchen and living area are wide open and very spacious with lots of windows overlooking the beach and water. There are two bedrooms on the main floor, both with king beds, and one has a full bath. There is also a second full bath on this floor. Upstairs has a loft bedroom with a king bed and futon. It also has a ton of windows overlooking the beach. The room also has its own window AC unit since upstairs rooms at the beach can get hot and it worked perfectly. Every room also has a ceiling fan. The kitchen is stocked with odds and ends, no full set of pots or pans, which would be helpful. We bought a large pan to use for the trip and left it there. Overall, the house and location was great. You can walk about a mile down the beach to the National park. We would definitely stay again.
We had four adults, two children, so the size of the house was perfect. Great beach access. Even though it a "second tier" home, set back from the beach a little more than the neighbors but still no roads to cross, it was actually very close to the water and had a private path to the beach. Great views, very uncrowded beach, nice bike ride to the lighthouse/restaurants/shopping. The house isn't new, and shows a little wear, but hey, it's a beach house. The sign inside that reads "If you're wearing shoes, you're overdressed" is spot on. Not a place for a wedding reception, but a week at the beach for 4-6 people...perfect!
