La Casa de la Playa - Beachfront Waikanae Home

This bach is in the Olde Beach area of Waikanae, with many amenities close by:

● 5 minutes walk: Long Beach and Hey Coastie restaurants and bars, Olde Beach French Bakery, Hendrix Cafe & shop, two local stores, Waikanae Boating Club restaurant and bar, playgrounds, pétanque court, free Plexipave tennis court, and basketball hoops.

● 15 minutes walk: Waikanae Golf Club.

● 10 minutes drive: Nga Manu Nature Reserve is renowned for its birds and bush, including the Kiwi Night Encounter Experience (you go past Waikanae Pool on the way to the Reserve).

● 15 minutes drive: the top-rated Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club.

● Trains to Wellington every ½ hour.

● Local artists’ studios within walking and biking distance (see art trail booklet).

The main bedroom is spacious, with a super-king bed that can be divided into two single beds (upon request to Bachcare).

Through a sliding hallway door is the sunporch (with bunks) and the other two bedrooms (separated by three typically-Plischke style large sliding doors, allowing the whole area to be fully open plan, or divided into three).

The sunporch opens directly onto the outdoor dining area and lawn to the beach. Outdoor dining is enjoyed around a large square table that comfortably seats eight, but there is always room for more.

The open plan kitchen/dining/living area is bright and welcoming with beachy tones. The indoor dining table seats eight, but can accommodate more.

The living and dining areas open out onto the paved courtyard and outdoor dining area, with the large lawn, stretching out to the sand dunes of Waikanae Beach.

La Casa de la Playa is ideal for water lovers, with plenty of room to park the boat on site. The Waikanae Boating Club launching ramp is 150 meters away. There are kayaks and boogie boards available for use. There is a well-stocked bookshelf and games cupboards. Set up your hammock on the two poles in a sheltered spot for a place to chill out away from the action.
As this property is unfenced (beach and road), adults should closely supervise young children.
