A quaint dine-in kitchen, living room, gear room, two full baths, and three bedrooms with the most comfortable beds this side of Lake Ontario! A gas grill and picnic table create a beautiful back yard BBQ experience surrounded by forest and farmland where you're sure to see an abundance of wildlife! Hike or fish Douglaston Salmon Run’s private 2.5 miles of the Salmon River via the trail from your own back yard! Or access the river from the private stream side parking area, located just 1/8 mile from your lodge. Just a short drive from Lake Ontario beaches.

Comfortable and Clean

Our stay went great. The home is comfortable and clean. We found everything we needed and the location is convenient for our needs. Having the space to remove out fishing gear away from the main living area was very convenient. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotless. Good wifi and easy access to home. Would stay again for sure.

Great stay. Good location for fishing

It worked as a great homebase for a weekend of fishing. The mud room was perfect for drying waders and boots.

Nice and quiet

We were very happy with the cleanliness of the property. I wish we had a longer stay. It had a very cozy feel and the quietness at night was wonderful!

Trip Home

Deer Run was beautifully equipped and very clean. Access to the lodge was easy even after a snowfall the day of our arrival. Communication with the host was clear and efficient.

A great spot for a fishing getaway

The home was perfect and accurately depicted online. Very quiet surrounded by huge fields filled with wildlife. The Salmon River is a short 1/4-1/2 mile hike behind the home with great river views. Just my buddy and me fishing this trip but could accommodate 3-4 more people. Excellent mudroom to take off and hang gear at end of day. I’d definitely stay again.

Hotel Experince in a Home

Run like a hotel, this home rental was top notch. Old farmhouse, renovated, with all amenities necessary. Clean. Well appointed. Easy check in and out, great communication with DSR staff, close to salmon fishing and Lighthouse Marina. A/C in bedrooms, but house stayed cool. Traditional farmhouse, so the stairs are steep and short. Couldn't of asked for better accommodations for our 4th of July fishing trip!

Great base for adventures around Lake Ontario

Clean, comfortable and it seems they thought of everything. There was even an oversized mud room for storing all the gear one brings for exploring.

Beautiful Walking Trails!

My friend and I visited Pulaski to see the area and to do some tubing along the Salmon River. The home was clean, well stocked, and centrally located. I loved the firm mattress in the lower bedroom. My favorite part of this home was the 1/2 mile walking trail to the Salmon River and all the beautiful trails along the river. Great vacation place!
