Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house in a terrific location on the lake. We appreciated all the fans provided, it kept the house very pleasant. The fenced yard was perfect for the dog The only thing is the railings are in poor shape, splinters galore so be careful not to use them ( which defeats the purpose of having them). A really terrific house, we will be back!

Great Cabin with a great Lake views

Very nice place to go and enjoy the mountains. The management company was very friendly. Easy to check in and out. The place has also a separate suite that you can have friends or in-laws stay close but not in the same house. We will definitely go back Thank you

We were really pleased with the customer service. We originally rented a different place that had scary stairs for our 2 dogs and toddler. They were super understanding and we got in a different place within no time. The new Place was great! Lake front, nice views, clean, comfy beds and my daughters favorite...a jacuzzi and fuz ball table

Everything was great! We really enjoyed it. Short walk to a great hike.- Castle rock. Big coffee maker not working, NO broom in house. Also, a little disappointed with the non view from hot tub because the cover had to lean that way so you couldn’t see the lake. But amazing views from patio & nice to have the dock for the afternoon sun. We will be back;-))

It was just me my little guy and my dogs and we had such a Great time. My boy felt super comfortable like if we were at home. It was nice to be able to bring the dogs and go for walks so close to the lake! I loved making breakfast and dinner with the spectacular view. It was very quiet and we were so fortunate to see a bald eagle while I bbq hot dogs! Thank you we cant wait to go back.

Enjoyed our stay although the home could have been cleaner

The kitchen cabinets and handles were dirty. There was animal vomit on the lower half of the kitchen bench. We had a good time but believe you need a different cleaning crew.

All-around AWESOME!

The house was clean, spacious, nicely decorated, had all the nonstick cooking pots/pans - thank you...the beds were comfortable. The house was so nice and warm for us when we walked in. Perfect location and access to the lake for nice walks. and fun in the snow. PLEASE THANK THE OWNERS! You are so appreciated! This has nothing to do with the property, but the check-in process...we had to drive by the house all the way past the town to FIND the check-in area and read exactly what we read online and agreed to then be told okay, we will send you the code via email. That was a bit annoying after being in the car for over 2 hours, with hungry teens and a dog. Not cool..

Beautiful cabin with stunning views, but needs a deep cleaning

My family had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. Pros: Location! Beautiful views! Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, towels, extra blankets and pillows. Hills for the kids to sled down. There were even sleds already there for the kids to use. Alpine mountain and slopes near by. Cons: cleaning fee is clearly not used for “cleaning”. Cabin needs a deep cleaning. Very dusty and grimy. Whoever used the cabin before left their trash behind in the front and it was never picked up. Animals came and ripped the trash bags open. Only property in the area were the Snow wasn’t removed from the driveway and the driveway is an incline so you will be stuck if you don’t have chains. Overall we had a great time and will be back next year

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is covered in spider webs and feels like it isn’t maintained very well at all. The dock is basically useless. The path down there is overgrown and near impossible to navigate. There is barely any water at the dock. The view from the deck is nice. The inside is older, very small upstairs. If you’re looking for a small affordable cabin this will do, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again with more than 2-3 people. Neighborhood is nice. Good location.

Terrible property, dirty, old, smelly, small and inefficient walls are like paper thin.

Bad experience from the beginning. 1. Made me wait with my family for hours to check in, house was not clean to begin with check in was suppose to be 4pm that was gone from the window to the cold. Terrible management, no care at all. 2. My kids and wife were hungry and needed to use the restroom but the house was being cleaned supposedly “Mickey Mouse” stuff 30m tops. 3. No complimentary salt for the drive way or stairs or anywhere ($6.95) missing, said they would bring it but forget. 4. I got sick and my kids as well, ruined my entire trip, this selfish people. 5. I will never use ur site or trust people like you in this life time. Ill be contacting you guys once i am well enough. There is more for me to say but i just don’t have time. * I have pictures of everything.

Peaceful Getaway

My husband, my daughter and I went to Big Bear for a family trip to celebrate my birthday. The location was perfect, right on the lake so my husband could fish while me and my daughter soaked in the hot tub. It's also very close distance to the Alpine Slide which we had a great time at. The views of the lake are incredible and can be seen from the bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, blender, etc and the grocery store isn't too far of a drive. The photos of the second master suite doesn't do it justice. While it's seperated from the house, it's only a few stairs down. It's very spacious and nicely done. It has its own bathroom and sitting area and TV. Perfect if you are traveling with grandparents or if parents are traveling with older kids. The second master had a very comfy California king. They were flexible with early check in and late checkout which we appreciated for this quick 3 day trip. Why I rated 4 stars instead of 5: - there was a citywide power outage on arrival and the property manager did not do a great job of keeping us posted. It was a bit stressful but it did come back on after a few hours - the property sits on a hill so you have to be careful walking down to the water, the steps do not go all the way down so just use caution during the icy months - you have to take the jacuzzi cover all the way off in order to see the lake but once you do, it's not easy to get back on because of the hill

Great location- property was filthy

I had a great time with my family in Big Bear. We were only there for 3 days, just a quick birthday getaway with the family. The property is run down and dirty. It’s not that they missed sweeping or missing towels, it just down right needs to be cleaned. The property manager only reply after we left was to defend herself and tell me how the property was up to their standards, quality control blah blah blah- if that’s their standards they need to raise them. Here is a list of grossness we had to put up with: 1. Dirty floors and no vacuum, a mop but no floor cleaner to clean said floor 2. Hair on master bed, and some kind of mold on the mattress when we stripped the bed - we did have to buy blankets when we were down there so we could sleep 3. No bed bug covers on master bedroom 4. Master bath floor had grime, I think from the dryer that is located in the master bathroom 5. Towels smelled like dirt 6. Every plate and cooking utensil dirty 7. Pine needles covered the porch - we swept when we got there, and when we left there were some but not the thick coating when we arrived 8. Internet sucks & limited channels 9. They scheduled a city inspector during our stay, so unprofessional 10. After I addressed these issues with the property manager and she said she would be getting back to me, never even bothered or apologized for the inconvenience of the inspector arriving and the poor condition of the rental Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, the house could be great, unfortunately it’s not being managed with care.

Not the experience we had hoped for...

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we wound up having a nice stay, but it was quite frustrating and disappointing unfortunately. I will speak of both the positive and the negative. It was very very dark - very few lights in the living room - one of the things we love to do on vacation is puzzles and we were unable to do any because it was so dark inside. We brought lights up from downstairs, but there weren't any extension cords, so that didn't work. The floors were quite dirty. The bathtub didn't work (so our kids couldn't take baths). The front door lock was broken so we had to move a heavy table in front of the door at night, the master bed had a regular sheet (not a fitted sheet) so when you moved in bed, the sheet came off, and the toilet overflowed and broke downstairs. The first night we were there honestly sucked because of all of these issues. The next morning sucked too. We really wanted to go out and do things, but we had to wait for the handyman to come fix the front door and then the plumber to fix the toilet and bathtub. The good thing is that they did send someone to fix those things. The bad, we didn't get to go anywhere until 2pm because we had to wait for handymen. If I had wanted to fix things around the house, I would have stayed home. The location was wonderful and when we were finally able to go out in the snow, we had a blast. We tried emailing and texting the first night explaining the issues, but no one responded. That is my honest review. It was a huge bummer especially given it was our first vacation in over a year and we didn't get to relax like we had hoped. At least now the front door locks, the bathtub works and the toilet is fixed. Sucks that we had to be the ones to troubleshoot it all.
