About this property
Classic Dryland ADK Boathouse On The Shore Of Long Lake
A beautifully situated cabin with panoramic views of Long Lake and the surrounding mountains. Our seasonal retreat is built in the authentic Adirondack boathouse camp style from 1917 typical of Long Lake, and has been converted with all modern amenities required for a relaxing authentic getaway in the mountains and all that encapsulates the essence of boathouse living in this historic structure. The dryland Boathouse, built to accompany Camp Kee-oh-Nekh, sits feet from the water and housed boats during the winter months with an upstairs billiards and game room through the 1990s.
While maintaining its unique Adirondack charm, the Boathouse boasts a modern kitchen, four bedrooms that sleep eight, 1.5 baths, a spacious open floor-plan living space, 100 feet of waterfront, and a dock with deep water boat access. First-floor heating and air-conditioning are supplemented by a wood stove, which keeps the cabin cozy during cool spring and fall days but bring along extra layers for those cool mornings in the mountains for this 3 season's cabin! The beautiful natural setting is a great asset with a long and winding unpaved drive past beautiful forestland to our lakefront cabin. You will want to drive more slowly than you think to take in the beauty! The natural stone-step path brings you down the hill from the parking area to the Boathouse and water’s edge. The indoors seamlessly meets with the outdoors at the Boathouse, whether you’re relaxing in the sun at our small sandy beach, drinking your morning coffee on the deck as the mist clears over the water, or opening the tri-fold front doors to listen to boats on the lake and breathe in the crisp mountain air.
Pulling yourself away from the Boathouse can be difficult, but plenty of amenities await your exploration in the Central Adirondacks. The famous Adirondack Experience in Blue Mtn. Lake, the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, hiking up Coney Mountain, Owls Head Mountain, or Castle Rock are all great options nearby.
Oh and don't forget to enjoy lakeside campfires on the beach with the portable fire pit or in the rustic fireplace on the hill! Also, take out the included kayak or canoe for a sunrise or sunset paddle!
If you’re looking for rustic charm with laidback Adirondack comfort by the water, the Boathouse is just the place!

Thanks! We're glad you enjoyed your first visit, and we hope you can return in the future!
What a neat spot this is--right on the shore of the lake, with a great dock and chairs to soak in the view. The boathouse is well thought out and comfortable. We would absolutely come again!
My family and I had an excellent week at the Boathouse. The kids loved the private sandy beach. You really can’t beat the view from the front deck . We took advantage of the canoe and kayak that were provided to explore the beautiful lake.

Thanks and so glad you had a great week with your family!
We LOVE the Long Lake Boathouse. Don and Liza are wonderful hosts and the house offers an authentic Adirondack experience. The views from the porch and dock are breathtaking, the beach and dock are great for swimming, and the fishing is outstanding. Additionally, it is very close to the town of Long Lake and all of the activities within. We highly recommend this listing. Thank you, Don and Liza, for having us, and we look forward to returning next year!
A perfect place for our extended family. The sand beach and availability of canoe, kayak and life jackets were great. Perfect location on Long Lake with very private feel. Nice kitchen and cooking supplies, wonderful deck. Would definitely return!!
We had a very enjoyable week at this quintessential ADK lakefront cabin. The location was great - nestled in the woods and right on the water, yet within minutes of downtown Long Lake. Our family enjoyed having two ways to enter the water from the property - wading in from the sandy beach and being able to jump in from the deep water dock. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Long Lake Boathouse. Liza and Don are attentive hosts, and the property is beautiful. Lots of great days swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and enjoying the stunning views from the porch, beach, and dock! An Adirondack gem!
We hope to return again!
We LOVE the Long Lake Boat House! The house is beautifully situated with excellent views of the lake. We had so much fun swimming, paddling, and fishing. The house is also close to town, so there are many activities (hikes, museums, day trips). Don and Liza are terrific hosts. We are already counting the days until next summer!

So Glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you can return in the future!
We were very comfortable this week at the boat house. As on previous stays , the house had all we needed for enjoying cooking, resting on the porch , swimming from the sandy area in front of the house and sitting on the boat deck. During this visit we used our small telescope to see Saturn and observe the stars and Milky Way from the sandy beach . The owners are always considerate of their renters and readily available. .Lovely vacation!!
Everything as advertised and more! Beautiful and private spot on the lake. House and grounds are well equipped with everything you need. Kids loved the beach in front of the house. Will return!
We always enjoy our stay at this home on Long Lake. Swimming , fishing and boating is easy from the house dock and the sandy area in front . We saw Loons, many deer, and a black bear this visit!
. The owners are always concerned about guests comfort and available .
We had everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. Looking forward to returning.
We enjoyed our time at this cabin/boathouse. Liza was extremely communicative and helpful! The place was just as described and fit our needs and wants very well. Long Lake is absolutely beautiful and we particularly enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from Long Lake Marina for a couple of days so we could completely explore the lake! Again, we were so thankful for Liza’s replies to our texts as needed.
We love the Long Lake Boathouse. The property is beautiful, providing comfort and an authentic Adirondack experience. Highlights include the view from the front porch, the dock, swimming, and fantastic fishing! There is so much to do on the lake and in the local community. Don and Liza are wonderful hosts. They are very communicative and attentive l, and genuinely we want their guests to have a great Adirondack vacation. This is a great spot for families with children. We are already counting the days until next year!

Thanks Dania! We love that your family enjoys the place as much as we do!
Nice property, great views of the lake photos were alittle misleadingly for the stone steps thought there might have been five steps turned out there are 45 steps and difficult to carry the coolers down. But once your in the cabin it is very nice, nicely stocked kitchen and enough room for all

Thanks for the feedback, Cathy! Sorry, the photos showing the natural path and stone steps from the parking area down the hill to the waterfront boathouse were misleading for you. We will have a look at improving those images! Liza
Beautiful, clean, well stocked and such a great view. Steps from parking space to boathouse are true stone steps. Lots of them and can get slick when raining. Not accessible for anyone with mobility issues. Bringing small bags is smart.
We loved everything about our stay at the Boathouse. The big multi-purpose room downstairs was great for cooking and dining together and evening conversations. There was enough space for everyone on the rainy day when everyone stayed in. The house sits right at the water's edge, so you don't even need to get on the water to feel the lake's calming effect, but it was also super easy to go for a swim or a paddle. Checking out by 10 a.m. was a challenge, because the cleaning and trash runs took more time than expected, but also because of the lake's magnetic pull. We hope to be back again next year!

We're happy you all had such a great visit and hope you can return next year! We sure hope to return to our 11 a.m. check out for 2021. Thanks to everyone this year for the later check-in and earlier check- out to allow for enhanced cleaning, disinfecting and ventilation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We had a terrific stay on Long lake at the Boathouse. We loved the front porch and beach where we could spend all day watching the loons and boats go bye. The Boathouse is an extremely peaceful place and a perfect spot to unwind. We hope to be back again next summer!
The experience was without any issues. Extremely accommodating process
