Cindy was very responsive and checkin was smooth. We stayed one night and the foru of use enjoyed the home as well as the location. This is very close to town…quite walkable.

The house is just down the street from downtown Gettysburg and walking was quite easy. For some of the farther locations like the park visitors center the drive was super easy. The bedrooms and beds were just as described and for us were quite comfortable. They have a nice assortment of games and Gettysburg themed library available in the house!

Wonderful property just down the street from downtown. The house sits right off a busy street but the property itself was fantastic. Also, Cindy is a great host! We would stay here again!

Great location for Gettysburg Battlefield. A little noisy on Main Street so bring a sound machine for sleeping.

Hi C.B.! Yes! We are super close to the battlefield and a pleasant walk to Lincoln Square in the borough of Gettysburg. However, we are on a main street, so the front bedroom is a bit noisy at times, although we do have a TV, clock radio and a box fan in that room to help with white noise, as well as earplugs in the closet in the downstairs hallway. Interestingly, we're directly on Lincoln Hwy, the first cross country road in America that goes from Broadway in NYC to San Francisco! Although it's a tiny, two lane road in front of our house, it is part of Route 30 and a main thoroughfare, so some may be more sensitive than others. The other two bedrooms, in the middle and back of the house are quieter, although we still do have the box fans and radios in those rooms in case people would like to use them. I hope you still enjoyed your stay and if you have any suggestions on how we can improve the property, please let me know. No luck on moving the road or the house as of yet! :) Take care, c. This is our third, possibly fourth time renting. It's the perfect location, and welcomes our senior dog very comfortably. It feels like home as soon as we come through the door. It's conveniently located to everything you might want to do in Gettysburg. We'll be back. Thanks.

This house was ample in size for what we needed and was very clean and neat upon arrival. However, it is quite sparse when it comes to extras—be prepared to bring or buy your own basics, as amenities like coffee and shower soap weren’t provided, and we had to head out to pick those up. Additionally, the house is located right next to a very busy road, so expect quite a bit of road noise during your stay. It worked for a place to sleep, but the lack of basic supplies and the noise made it just okay.

Communication was excellent. Would recommend that blackout curtains be put in the front bedroom as there is a bright light that shines in all night. Also, it would be helpful to include in the description that there is loud road noise all night. Not the owners fault! But bringing a fan or white noise would help a lot.

House was very clean, easy check in, a nice walking distance to downtown and the driving distance to museums was not bad at all. I would definitely stay here again. The only negative thing for us were the blinds need replaced due to multiple tears in the bedroom in the front of the house with 4 windows. It let's in alot of light and with the traffic noise and the light coming through it was a little issue with sleeping. Also, it was mentioned about 3 box fans but we only found 2.

Fantastic Place to Stay in Gettysburg

This was a fantastic place to stay in Gettysburg. Everything was as advertised, the house was very clean and well-kept, and the parking was easy. The location is impossible to beat, and the host was fantastic. I would recommend staying here to anyone!
