About John Kirchhofer
Hi! My name is John. My wife, Nan, and I live in Dallas, TX and are blessed with 5 lovely kids. We purchased this home in Breckenridge in March, 2015 and have enjoyed it for purely personal use since. We absolutely love Breck and have particularly enjoyed everything the location of this home has to offer - 1.5 hour drive from Denver, minutes from downtown restaurants and shops, even a library across the street where we can check out new books and movies. If we could be in Breckenridge every weekend, we most certainly would. But the reality of living in Texas makes that hard, so we wanted to share our wonderful, charming, and convenient home with other families or groups who might enjoy it in some of the same ways we do.
John Kirchhofer purchased this House in 2015
Why John Kirchhofer chose Historic District
Since our kids were born, we have been going on ski trips every winter. After visiting dozens of different towns across Colorado for the past two decades, we can confidently say that Breckenridge provides the perfect combination of convenience (1.5 hour drive or 3 hour shuttle from DIA), a charming downtown (the historic downtown association has preserved the authenticity of this locally driven place), beautiful views (from our home and other spots in town), great skiing (one of the largest mountains in CO with Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Wintergreen and A-Basin within an hour if you'd like to switch it up and try different slopes), friendly locals, endless events and festivities, and so much more. When we found Breck, we decided to look no further and have been incredibly blown away by how much we love this town and the uniqueness of our property. We completely redecorated this home with cozy and luxury furniture (primarily from Restoration Hardware), have stocked the kitchen with all the cooking gadgets you will need, have updated the porch and hot tub area, and have a TV with Comcast cable + connection to Netflix or Amazon Prime. There are also TVs in every bedroom, but with everything going on in Breck out our front door, we suspect you won't use these much!
What makes this House unique
We have decorated and equipped this home for our personal use. The furnishings and accouterments are truly top-of-the-line and much more luxurious than what your would find in a standard rental home. This is not a rental property - it is a family home that we occasionally rent. But what really sets the home apart, in our opinion, is its location. Situated in the center of downtown, as close as can be to restaurant options, breweries, the local grocery store, art galleries, boutiques, etc., 312 Lincoln provides access to an large assortment of fun and interesting places to hang out.

This is a great house. We travel to Breck frequently and have stayed on the mountain and in town. We loved everything about this house. The free bus stop was on the corner of Lincoln and French, so getting to the Breck Connect Gondola was super easy. We were with our 4 college age kids and 2 of their friends and we had more than enough space to spread out. The home is furnished nicely and well stocked with some of the basics, which is a nice touch. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds, pillows, hot tub was great and well equipped kitchen a major bonus. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful downtown house
I stayed here for a long weekend with girlfriends for a ski weekend. We loved how close it was to everything. We could easily walk everywhere. Every room was nice and everyone was comfortable. We had an issue with the basement bathroom one night but it was fixed the next morning. The house is beautifully decorated and has open spaces for people to hang out. The hot tub is conveniently right outside the side door. The fireplaces were easy to use and it was a warm, comfortable temperature in the house. I would rent this house again for a stay in Breckenridge. It was the perfect house with lots of space and close to downtown.
Wonderful. Close to everything. Walking to town and lift.
All of the amenities.
We had a fantastic stay this past weekend. John was great to work with. The place is beautiful and the location is perfect. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place centrally located within Breckenridge.
We had three families and plenty of space to accommodate us. With a fantastic kitchen for cooking after a long day at the slopes and a huge table to seat us.
The location worked well for us since most of us are snowboarders and didn't mind the short walk to the gondola and in the evening we were easily able to access a number of restaurants and shopping without having to Uber or wait on a shuttle.
Absolutely wonderful place. Hope to visit again next year.
Beautiful home a few blocks from Main Street
This home in downtown Breck was in a terrific location. You could easily walk to town for shopping, dinner, the bars, etc. The house slept 10 comfortably- 3 bedrooms had king or queen beds, and the basement bedroom slept 4 (1 set of bunk beds and 2 other twins). All of the bedrooms were separated in regards to location in the house and had their own bathroom- which was great. The house is decorated beautifully and has everything you would need in the kitchen. The hot tub out back was new and easy to use; only downside was there was not any privacy in the hot tub since it faced other homes and an apartment/condo building. The property manger and the owner were very nice and quickly responsive. We would stay there again.
