- This property offers step-free access via the exterior doors on the 1st and 2nd floors. There are interior stairs; however, vehicles can be driven up to the second-floor patio for step-free access to the main floor
- Your safety matters. The property features 2 exterior security cameras: camera 1 is located on the front gate facing out and camera 2 is located on the other end of the property facing the well head. The cameras do not look into any interior spaces. The cameras take photos when motion is detected
- Please be aware that bedroom 2 is part of the grand room. There are privacy screens for guests to set up; however, it is not a full bedroom
- The attached garage has a home-based business. Shipping and receiving minimal hours of the day
- There is a well-maintained 1.7-mile dirt road leading to the house
- A crib is available upon request. If you would like to request the crib, please reach out to the Guest Contact
- The house is built into the hillside and stays naturally cool. An evaporative cooler is also provided to help maintain a comfortable temperature

Beautiful views from the house. Great location to hiking areas and Prescott. Communication with Sara was easy and she was very responsive. House was clean and had everything we needed. The super cute silkies were a plus.

Mountain Getaway

Lovely home tucked away in the mountains of Prescott. Home was fully stocked with anything you would need during your stay from kitchen appliances, utensils to ample towels and extra blankets. Sauna upstairs across from a huge claw foot tub with gorgeous views. The owner of the property was so kind and on the first day, leads you up to the house so that you don’t get lost going up the dirt road. 10/10 would stay again.

Wonderful retreat

This is actually the third time we have stayed in this home. Need we say more??? The home is clean, well stocked, has breathtaking views, it’s out of town so very peaceful but it’s still just a short drive into Prescott or over the mountain into Jerome.

Sara, the host, is wonderful with great communication. The house is on top of the hill with great views, and the backyard is fenced so is great for dogs. The wood burning stove makes the living room cozy and comfortable for cold nights. We had an excellent time!

Amazing property!

This is my second time staying at the property and it’s wonderful. You can’t beat the view! It’s very nice to be away from town but yet still close. The home is very clean, comfortable, and well stocked if you feel like cooking something up in the kitchen! The host Sara is friendly and helpful. She is kind enough to meet and guide visitors in when you first arrive so you don’t get lost. I can’t wait to stay there again!

Quiet & Beautiful

The property owner is amazing & was very responsive before, during & after our stay. The dirt road to the house is confusing at first, but the owner met us at the beginning of the road to show us the way. She showed us around the property, which I’ve never had happen before at a VRBO. It was really nice because usually you’re left figuring out the weird quirks of the house. We loved that it was quiet & there was a yard for the dog. The views are beautiful! My favorite part was having coffee in the morning in the Arizona room while looking out over the valley & watching the wildlife. It is a bit away from town/restaurants, but only about 20 minutes. It’s kind of a quirky house, but it worked just fine for us. One shower downstairs & a tub upstairs in the second bathroom. One bedroom in the house upstairs, with an additional bed in the open area & a couch pullout bed. This worked fine for us & 2 grandkids. Downstairs is a kitchen, living room, laundry room, bathroom & Arizona room. There are chickens in the yard but they are completely enclosed & our dog couldn’t get to them. They are super cute & the grandkids loved watching them. Overall, a good stay. My one suggestion to the homeowner is to change the doorknobs in the Arizona room & laundry room. They are worn out & hard to lock.

Beautiful Views

We stayed at this house for almost a week. The check in process was super smooth and our contact for the rental (Sara) met us at the property to go over all the details of the location/house. The view is phenomenal and you can’t beat the amenities this house had to offer. We were even able to book Sara for a massage as she’s massage therapist, it was AMAZING! I would highly recommend this house and the area to anyone looking to book!

Relaxing get away

The views and sunsets from the deck in particular are spectacular! Great home base for day trips to Jerome, Verde Valley Canyon Railroad, Prescott. Remote and quiet, but Walmart and Frys within 30 minutes to stock the kitchen so you could cook meals when you back from day excursions and enjoy the sunset.

Perfect mountain Getaway with Access to Prescott, Jerome and 19A Hunting

The house has every amenity you will need to get away from the city and enjoy your time in the Mingus Mountains. If you plan to hunt, there are several areas closeby along with a shooting range within 5-10 minutes. Major cities are within 20 minutes with ample choices for meals(highly recommend Colt's Girll in Prescott Valley). The ability to park both upstairs AND downsatirs is a huge place for loading and unloading. The place is very clean and easy to maintain with cleaning resources provided. During the snow there was efficient heating and more blankets than we could ever need. Also, there are enough towels for a family of 4 for over a week. The sauna is a HUGE plus and makes for a great morning sweat before getting started on your day. Overall our experience was a fantastic one and the ability to makeour own food from the grocery store helped us not only keep in-line with our budget, but also eat healthier and better than we would if we were solely eating out. 10/10, and an 11/10 if you try and compare to a hotel room.

Grand Canyon and Sedona trip!

This property has amazing views during the day and at night! Very quiet and peaceful location. I really enjoyed the tub and the sauna. Sara was very nice, she gave us a very informative tour of the home and instructions on how to use the sauna upon arrival. She was very accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay!!! Thank you Sara!

A Gem in the Mountain

Peaceful, Quiet, Amazing sunsets. We cooked in and I was looking for a peaceful place as our own home is being renovated and I needed a quiet place to work. Amazing views from every window. There is a dirt road to access the house which I did not mind. Sara is very knowledgeable and accommodating. It is 20 minutes from town so we brought food although in my short stay I did go to town one afternoon. Even though I only live 30 minutes away this might have to be a place I return to. Oh and the sauna and bath tub were great for relaxing in the middle of my chaotic life. Thanks again!

Dogs loved the yard and chickens

While not completely dog friendly our dog enjoyed sunning themselves, sniffing at the chickens, exploring the yard and short hikes around the property. We used the upper road to go up and down stairs as they were too steep for the dogs. Highly advise a portable dog gate (or two) especially if you have little dogs. Beds were comfy for naps and good rest at night. We cooked a lot on the grill and in the kitchen and everything we needed was there. Beautiful place to go to get out of the summer heat.
