Cabin on Fall River
This house was amazing. We had our family with us for 4 days and everyone wished we could have stayed longer.
The house was so well stocked from dishes to spices.
We will definitely keep this cabin in mind for our next trip.
Exceeded All Expectations
This wonderful place exceeded all expectations! Pictures don't do it justice. It is a very comfortable, spacious, well-appointed mountain home, positioned on 300 ft. of scenic shoreline of the Fall River.
This property is a fly-fisherman's paradise with easy access to waters just outside the door. Outdoor furnishings along the stream and on the patio make for hours of relaxation while inhaling the fresh mountain air, and listening to the babbling stream tumble over rocks while making its way down to the valley below. There is even a spot for bonfires near the stream that provides a perfect way to end every day.
There was no shortage of wild-life up close and personal! We experienced elk, bears, lynx, and wild turkeys on the property daily, and a variety of birds! We looked forward to evenings with great anticipation!
There is so much to do in the area. Rocky Mountain. Nat'l Park is minutes away with access to the Continental Divide on the scenic Trail Ridge Road. We took advantage of horse-back riding at one of the stables in the area, hiked to waterfalls in the park, and climbed to the top of Old Man Mountain behind the cabin. We also rode a Gondola to the top of a peak in the village that afforded us panoramic views of the area with the Continental Divide in the distance. We discovered mountain lakes and numerous trailheads a short drive from the cabin that rounded out our week.
There are lots of fun shops in the village of Estes, within a mile of the cabin. Shop for souvenirs or high-end clothing and art. A visit to the famous Stanley Hotel is something you won't want to miss either! It was built in the early 1900's by brothers who designed the Stanley Steamer car which sits in the lobby of this grand old hotel. Take a haunted tour or just sit on the front porch and enjoy the view.
I could not have anticipated such a rich experience coupled with the comfort of this luxurious mountain home. An unforgettable week! I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed!
Perfect location to do nothing or get to everything
Loved everything about it- comfortable indoor living space, great outdoor space for grillin and chillin, close to town, but out of the hubbub. We enjoyed hiking Deer Mountain, Old Man Mountain, and Lily Lake; driving Old Fall River Road and Alluvial Fan; wine tasting, beer tasting and Cinamons bakery; and of course all the bird watching and wildlife viewing from the yard. Weather was good enough for a cookout and firepit evening, and rainy enough for an afternoon of dominoes and movies- and the cabin was perfectly outfitted for both. We were multi generations of siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles and I think a good time was had by all.
Pictures don’t do this justice. The house was a great size and the land outside for the kids to run around was a nice surprise. Barney and Nicole are great to work with. The kitchen had everything you could think of and the coffee pods for our use was a nice touch. Only wish we could’ve bottled up the sounds of the river and the smell of the mountain air!
Very pleased. Owners were more than accommodating and very responsive to questions. Beautiful home and location. Could not have been nicer. Thank you.
Wonderful home in great location.
