Casa frente al lago ubicada en una pequeña cala con un muelle semi privado

Casa de cinco habitaciones con 3 1/2 baños con vista a la cala, el muelle y disfrutar del riachuelo al lado de la casa. Cocina de servicio completo, amplia terraza con vista al lago con jacuzzi y parrilla. Habitación principal en el primer piso con baño privado, planta alta, dos habitaciones con cama grande con un baño tipo jack / jill y una habitación doble y una habitación completa con baño compartido en el vestíbulo. Sala de billar justo al lado de la sala principal con área de descanso adicional también. Concepto abierto para comedor, cocina y sala de estar. Cuarto de lavado y medio baño cerca de áreas abiertas, y cerca de la cubierta y el jacuzzi.
La cubierta da a una cala privada fuera de la sección principal del lago. La cala permite la pesca, natación, remo, piragüismo y kayak sin demasiado tráfico de barcos.

Host is super caring and responsive. This property is one of our family’s very favorite. Excellent location, just gorgeous views, beautifully appointed and well-kept house that has everything you need for meals and fun, and is laid out just perfectly for gathering and also finding some peaceful corners.

This is a beautiful well maintained property. The owners have put a lot of thought into the amenities and had everything we needed for our long weekend. There is a lake view filtered through the trees and a nice deck and hot tub. The location was convenient to state parks, restaurants and the grocery store. Very comfortable beds and lots of seating. Highly recommend!

A perfect vacation spot for a group! We loved how quiet the neighborhood was, but still located close to stores, restaurants, etc. The house was spacious and had what we needed for cooking and hanging out, including a massive couch and a large kitchen. The host was very responsive when we had questions.One note on the dock/water - it's just a few minutes walk down to the water, but difficult for those with mobility issues because of steepness and tree roots. Having the dock was nice - we were able to rent kayaks and paddle them to/from the house for use during our stay.

Home away from home

This is our 6th summer staying at Rita's house and we just love it. It truly feels like our second home. She is very easy to work with and stays in touch to make sure we have everything we need. The house is really well stocked, in the kitchen which we love because we cook most nights. The view from the deck is so beautiful and the surrounding wooded area and creek make it feel very peaceful and private. Just a little path down to the lake and we spend most of the time in the water at the dock. We will continue to visit this home and would recommend it to everyone!

Wonderful Host and Wonderful Stay

We had an amazing trip at this home. For starters, Rita was the most incredible host- unbelievably responsive and attentive. The home is great- comfortable, clean, spacious and well stocked. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. meals on the deck. We loved the hot tub. The kitchen has everything!!! It's at the end of a quiet cul de sac with a beautiful creek right by the house. There are basketball hoops on the street that the kids loved- weren't any cars. The home is very close to nearby attractions and shopping. We went axe throwing one day when it rained. The shared dock was basically private, as no one else was there, and it's on a quiet cove on the lake. Perfect for swimming and kayaking, and the kids loved it. You need to walk past 3 homes to get to the dock- a charming 3 minute walk. Overall this place is fantastic. book it!!

Best Place on the Lake

We love returning to Shadybrook! Stores and activities are within reach but we love feeling "deep in the woods at the base of the mountain." The sunrise views, across the lake over the mountain, are breathtaking; looking out on the woods with the brook running to the lake is like being inside a woodland painting. The house itself is perfect for our family of six (and would certainly be good for more). There is space for everyone to have privacy, but wonderful gathering space as well. Shadybrook is responsive and cares. Everything you could possibly need is there and then some. Of note: we especially love this place as it allows for my elderly mom to enjoy the beauty of the woods even though she can't move around outdoors so easily. So much is available on one floor: master bedroom for her, kitchen, living and gathering spaces. Thank you for hosting!

Perfect Vacation

Rita was prompt, professional, and friendly. The house was very well stocked, maintained, and comfortable. The surroundings were amazing - sitting on the deck amongst the trees, with a small view of the lake - was perfect for relaxing. The cove was fantastic for the kids to swim. Being at the end of a long road offered quiet and seclusion. All in all we had an amazing vacation, which very much had to do with this rental and the owner.

Our home away from home

this is our 5th year staying at this property and we absolutely love it! Rita is great and so responsive. The house is beautiful and well maintained. The path through the woods to the lake with the little cove for our kids to tube and swim in is perfect and away from the craziness of all of the boats. We will continue to come here, it is our favorite vacation!

Perfect.

This property feels beautifully private but is accessible to all the fun of the lake. Great layou for gathering, to accommodate noisy family members and anybody who wants a little bit of privacy too. The views are stunning. There are trails in walking distance. We look forward to staying in warmer weather, but have stayed here twice: once in snow, once for Thanksgiving. Beautiful. We chose this house because my mother has mobility issues. She was able to stay in the master bedroom, and be a part of everything, including the feel of being “in the woods.” Our young adult children enjoyed each other in the little party/ billiard room and the hot tub. Best hot tub set up: right off the laundry room and bathroom for an easy in-and-out in the crisp weather!

Spacious and well-stocked

Great house on the WISP side of the lake - kitchen was loaded up with useful items. Great room was spacious and comfortable (especially the massive couch). Deck, dock, hot tub and pool table made the vacation :)

Family vacation

Our time at Shadybrook was wonderful. When we arrived, the house was in immaculate condition, and simple items such as toilet paper, tissues, and trash bags were there! With 3 cooks the kitchen was a dream relative to other vacation houses we’ve stayed at. There was ample cookware, and a drawer of spices which we loved. The living area was conducive to family time, and the back deck was perfect. The walkway next to the house with the little stream was so soothing. The check-in was a breeze! We would highly recommend Shadybrook as a vacation home, and would consider staying here in the future.

Disappointing Rental Agent

The property itself is very nice. It’s secluded and wildlife abounds. My wife and daughter saw a bear cross the driveway and my granddaughters and their parents saw a bear cub cross another driveway nearby. My issues involve the rental agent. After having returned a signed rental agreement and paying for the rental, I was asked to sign an amended rental agreement. As it would have been difficult getting all the necessary signatures, I said I would sign the agreement and get the rest of the signatures when we arrived. They agreed. A few days later I was told this was insufficient and when I pushed back, I was told that they wouldn’t give access to the property without the signed revised rental agreement. But for the fact that my grandchildren would have been very disappointed, I would have not signed and asked for my money back, as one party cannot alter a previously agreed upon contract. Additionally, several days into the rental I became aware that, at least, one of the cameras on the outside of the property was live and was being monitored. That made myself and the rest of my family very uncomfortable. I think potential renters should be made aware, up front, that cameras are live. I didn’t see any cameras inside the property, but I can’t be sure there weren’t any. For this reason, we left the property several days early.

Perfect lake stay

We had a great time at Deep Creek Lake. The house location was perfect - the cove was calm and great for swimming, and we made good use of the dock slip by bringing our boat. Was easy to get to McHenry and associated kids activities. Would absolutely stay there again!

Home away from home

This was our 4th year staying here and we just love it! It’s the perfect spot for our kids as they can play in the creek and get into the lake as there is a little shallow part. It’s a beautiful well kept house and Rita makes sure you have everything you will need! The kitchen is so well stocked, it is easy for us to cook meals as we always have everything we need. Rita is so easy to communicate with and she is extremely responsive to any questions or requests. We will continue to vacation here as long as she will let us!!

Detach-Getaway!

Great house, spacious kitchen, good sized rooms and beautiful views! You can relax by the fireplace, or in the hot tub looking at the lake or shoot pool- whatever way you relax there is something for you! Host also communicates very well and is very accomedating.

Great place to ski at Wisp!

We stayed with our three kids over the holidays and had a lovely time. The place was beautiful, clean, and convenient to the slopes. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful home with golf girls

A group of ladies came to play golf and see the colors of Fall at Deep Creek Lake and our stay at Shadybrook was amazing. The house is beautiful along with all the rooms and furnishings. There is plenty of room for families with children or adults with a large group!! The kitchen had anything you would need to cook with along with spices, coffee makers, abundance of dishes and glasses. Fully stocked!! The owner is wonderful and available to answer questions whenever needed. Can't say enough good things about this rental!! We will definately be back!!

Palmer Family Reunion

The property was on a quiet cove. The deck afforded a view of the lake. Access to the dock was easy. The kitchen was very well equipped. The house was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Perfect Trip despite weather :)

It rained all week but we had a great stay! Perfect location with quick lake access to take advantage of a break in the storm for a quick kayak trip. Close enough to shops, other activities, but beautiful wooded property to enjoy a soak in the hot tub or morning coffee on the deck listening to the babbling brook. Great place to be stuck inside and hang out with family :)

Located on a cul-de-sac, private cove on the lake, close proximity to ski resort, Swallow Falls and other parks, grocer, restaurants and much more.
New kitchen, large deck overlooking the lake, short walk to the lake, semi-private dock.
Equipped and supplied with things needed like, ice, wood, gas for grill, soaps, TP, PT ect.,
so that you can easily start your vacation as soon as you arrive.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The house is located at the end of a road, the cove is nice in that you won't have the boat traffic you would have on the main part of the lake. The stream allows for a peaceful and tranquil setting. The semi private dock is nice in that you most likely can find some time that you can be alone and enjoy the peace of the cove.
Also, the sun hits the dock most of the day, which is good as the water can be cool as the nearby stream falls into the lake at that point. The water supplied by the stream helps keep the water in the cove clear and clean as well. The house sits in the woods which supplies refuge from the sun if you need it. Note: the temperature on the deck will be cooler than the dock temperature. So don't be fooled that it may be too cold to swim. The dock temperature tends to be at least 5 degrees warmer than the deck when the suns out.
